I sighed ripping another piece of paper out of my notebook and tossing it into the trash as I sat in the recording studio. After trying to force myself to go to sleep, I couldn't so I came downstairs in here to see if I can right down some lyrics on a new song I was working on.

As you could see it really wasn't working that well. I tapped the pencil against the table continuously, trying to find lyrics that would go with the beat.

I don't think I could do anything right, specially after finding out NamJoon actually was pretending to be with Lisa.

I shouldn't care, I know I shouldn't specially after telling him myself that we should be just friends.

But I can't help it. It's not like I don't have feelings for him.

I was brought out my thoughts when the door behind me opened. I quickly turned to see Joon, he looked surprised to see me.

"normani?" He says with confusion, most likely unsure why I would up this late.

"your back"

He ignores me and continues, "What are you doing up so late?" He asks.

I don't know. Why are you pretending to date Lisa when you aren't.

"Couldn't sleep. You? I mean how was it? Your important business thing?", I ask being petty as ever.

Because he and I both knew there was no important business meeting. It was just a publicity stunt for people to actually believe him and lisa were dating.

I wanted to know why he did it. Why they have to lie to everyone that they were dating when they weren't.

I out of all people should know the truth.

"It was... good." He lies to me.

I break eye contact with him and nod my head.

"Okay. That's good"

"Yeah. How was it?" He asks me finally, I look up to him and smile. He knows. Thank god. I thought I'd have to go to bed upset and not wanting to talk to him.

"I was surprised myself honestly. I didn't think I could actually do something like that. I thought it was impossible. You know since I'm not from here", I say as his face expression held confusion all in it.

"Dance practice?" He asks before smiling and scratching the back of his head.

"What?" I ask.

Wait. Did he not know?

"I ask you how was dance practice and you said made it seem like you won something" he say before chuckling.

I swallowed hard. He didn't know. Of course he didn't. He's so stuck up in his own world with lisa, and that fake relationship that he couldn't even bother to care about me.

"Right. Because I'd never won anything, yeah" I say sarcastically turning around to quickly gather my things so I can get out of this awkward conversation.

"N-no. That's not what I meant, Normani. I just— I cut him off, "it's getting late. I'm just gonna go to sleep" I tell him before grabbing my notebook and pencil, and getting out the chair.

"I thought you just said you couldn't sleep" he tells me.

"Yeah. Well, somehow I just got so tired. Goodnight" I tell him harshly before walking past him and rolling my eyes.

I sighed softly before turning into my room, and shutting the door.

I need to stop letting Joon make me get this way, I shouldn't ask the way I do. I shouldn't get mad as mad as I do.

"I'm so proud of Normani" J-hope mentions as they all ate at the table, everyone but RM new exactly what he was talking about.

"Yeah. In 71 countries. That's a lot", Jung-Kook says before stuffing his face with a bowl of cereal.

NamJoon look amongst the other members in confusion. "What are you guys talking about?", he asks causing all the members to look at him.

"Please tell me your joking", Jimin says to NamJoon, and his expression on his face, you knew he wasn't joking.

"Do you not know?", Taehyung asks as he sat next to the leader of the group.

"Know what? Can someone please explain to is going on?" NamJoon asks in annoyance.

"Your girlfriend's new song is number one in 71 countries including here" Yoongi says causing all the boys except from Joon to either snicker or laugh.

"She isn't my girlfriend" he pauses before processing the rest of what Yoongi said, "wait she what?" He continues.

Hearing this information was a shock to NamJoon especially because Normani hadn't said a word to him about her accomplishment but could've last night.

"Yeah. Dancing With A Stranger went number one last night. You'd know that if you weren't on that date with Lisa" Jin smirks nudging Yoongi who rolled his eyes.

"It wasn't a date" The leader defended himself. His intentions were never to agree going back out with Lisa, but just for BigHit & JPY cooperation sake he did.

Even though he didn't have any feeling for her. Lisa felt completely opposite.

"Well, that's not what Normani thinks" Jimin says getting up from the table.

"What do you mean? I explained to both you guys and her that I didn't have any feelings for Lisa anymore"

"Then why tell the whole world you guys are back together?" Yoongi asks him causing him to turn directly to him.

"It wasn't like I had a choice. Look I did it for Lisa. If I went and denied anything lisa said, it would make Lisa look like some delusional girl and she isn't. I care about her feelings, ok" The leader said before continuing eating.

"So what about Normani? Don't you care about her feelings?" The youngest member asked RM who at this point felt like he was in a interrogation meeting right now.

That obviously was a dumb question, of course NamJoon cared about Normani, he liked her.

"Yes. I care about her feelings. None of this even matter because I wasn't the one who suggested for us to be friends. She was"

which was true.

"It's such a pleasure to meet you" Mark Duplass one of the producers of Netflix said before shaking my hand.

"Thank you. You as well" I say shaking his hand as well.

Brandon had told me that I had a upcoming project that I was going to like, when he said that I thought he meant music related, but he was talking about me being casted in a romantic comedy series.

"So let me cut it short. I already spoken about this project with your manager multiple times actually, and we at Netflix Corporation feel as if there isn't any other candidate that will fulfill the main character in this Korean/American series like you will."

He explains to me before motioning to one of his assistant to hand me a folder. The lady in the heels walked over to me handing me one of the many folders.

"We saw your passion for music, and the stage and we can tell why your loved by so many people. We want you to be the main character for the highly anticipated Netflix Series "Me Like Yuh", he tells me.

I nod processing what he was telling me.

"This could be an amazing opportunity for both you, and our company. All you have to do is say yes" he tells me.

I turned to Brandon who stood near me smiling ear to ear at me.

Acting. Me.

I knew I wanted to be an actress but I was really never serious about it. Now, I'm being asked to be the lead in a Romantic Comedy.

"I would love too" the words escaped from my mouth before I could even think.

I notice a smile appear on the face of the producer. "I promise you... you won't regret it", he tells me.

I nod.

"In the folder you were just handed is the final copy of the script. The scheduling when we have script reads, and when we have our filming dates"

He tells me. As I opened the folder to see the script.

I smiled reading the information displayed in front of my eyes..

"Come. I want to show you who your going to be working with on the film" he tells me.

I follow him out of the conference room, walking into another room that was nearby.

"Oh word? that's wassup" I hear a voice say as I enter the room.

"Jay.. I want you to meet the lead female of "Me Like Yuh"", Mark says turning back to me, as I look up to him.

I swallowed hard, as he turned his attention away from who ever he was talking too. He runs his fingers through his hair, before looking at me head from toe.

He slowly approached me. He definitely looked like a fuck boy. He knew exactly how to talk to females, I could that by his walk.

"wassup" he greets me in the most unprofessional way ever. I clarify that by his talk. He knows exactly how to get girls, I mean look at him.

"hey" I say softly.

He raises his eyebrow at me, "Normani, right?" He asks me.

"That's me", I say smiling softly like a shy girl, which is crazy because as much confidence I have on stage or in front of everyone else, I was like a baby, a very soft baby when it came to things like this.

"It's so nice to finally meet you. I heard so much about you", he says smiling at me.

"Thank you"

"You probably don't know who I am, I'm Jay. Jay Park but you can call me Jay", he tells me causing me to nod understanding.

"Normani, but most people call me Mani"

"That's wassup" he says before running his fingers through his hair, and looking down at me.

"Both of you guys will be playing each other love interest in "Me Like Yuh"... so you guys will have to spend a lot more time together, so it doesn't look awkward on screen" Mark explains to both of us.

I nod processing.

"Also, the first thing I want to get done today is the promo photoshoot for the film", Mark tells both of us.

Everything was literally happening so fast. I didn't even have a chance to breathe this in or tell someone. But I didn't need too because it didn't take long for people to eventually find out.
