"you ready?"

5 months. 5 long hardworking months. After announcing my hiatus, everyone and I mean everyone thought I was done with music.

Everyone was so worried and scared because they didn't expect me to announce something like that so suddenly.

But within those 5 months a lot happen. My members moved out of the dorm and got their own places. Despite them moving out, they were still close. Which was good.

We talked every once and a while, they would inform me on certain things, ask me when I was coming back.

I stayed in contact for a while with who I could. Like Lay. Even though he was promoting in China and away from his members himself he still checked up on me. I also was in contact with Bam, more then I should've have been.

But other than that, I was either in the studio or the dance studio. Even though I wasn't public, I was still practicing. There wasn't a day we're I wasn't in the studio working hard.

This comeback was special to me. People were expecting and waiting for me to comeback and it had to be perfect.

I plan coming back to Korea with a different attitude and approach on things. I used to be so.... soft, and cautious.. worried what people thought about me.

This time was different.

I was no longer gonna be that girl who was afraid to speak her mind or that girl who was still kind even after everything I went through.

I'm gonna show everyone that I'm a bitch, and if ima be bitch, I'ma be a bad one.

And that's on TRUST.

"today's special guest... everyone has been dying to see, to meet... my favorite, your favorite, NORMANI KORDEI!!" Yura spoke causing the audience to scream as my single, "motivation" blasted through the sets speaker as I walk out from behind the stage.

I walked out from behind the wall, causing fans to scream at my appearance. I smile, waving my hands at the fans.

So many of them, holding signs, picture of me causing me smile even harder.

"Wow!" Yura says as I approach the empty seat next to her. I take the seat before crossing my legs, and smiling at her.

"Can we talk about making an entrance? I mean god, you really are beautiful, isn't she?" She states before asking the crowd, who screamed causing me to let out a light laugh.

"So... girl. How are you?"

"I'm good. I've been good" I answer honestly, finally speaking.

"That's great to hear. You know after your hiatus, we haven't heard much about you. We know that you deactivated all of your social media's, and went back to America... so I got to ask you... what happened? I mean what's the reasoning being leaving, especially when you were like at the highest point of your career?" She asks getting straight to the point.

"There was so much happening all at once, and i really couldn't process it. Like one day something would happen and before I could even react, something else happen.. you know in the music industry things are always going to keep moving forward, whether your ready for it or not... so I think it was just me not being mentally prepared or capable... if that makes sense" I try my best to explain.

She nods, before looking down at her cards, the cards to ask me questions.

"Despite you leaving, was there anyone in particular that you kept in contact with? Like how about your members?" She asks the most obvious question.

"Of course, all of them. They would alway check up on me, despite them having such hectic schedules, so yeah. My cast members as well. Like Lay and Cha Eun Woo"

I answer before smiling.

"So what was there reaction to you leaving? What were there thoughts?" She asks.

"Actually, they were the first people I spoke too about me taking a break. Before I even spoke to my mangers or the CEO of the company... I told them. And they were all supportive, and they all told me that they just wanted me to be okay and if taking a break was what I wanted, there were alright with it. They actually also discussed taking a break themselves, so that I wouldn't be so much pressure on me" I tell her.

"Wow. They all are so thoughtful, aren't they?" She asks causing me to nod.

"So during those 5 months, what were you up to?" She continues.

"Despite not being public, I was still in the studio.. practicing and working on my new album. You know... music will always be something I do whether people know about it or not" I explain.

"There has been a lot of rumors of you and Justin Bieber having a song together, is that true?" She asks.

I nod, and audience screams widely. I smile, as their reaction.

"The song is called...." she trailed off I'm guessing expected me to answer the question.

"It's called "Broke Us" it's about a relationship that's having problems, and it's basically from a girls point of view and the guys" I explain.

"We actually have a snippet of what the song is supposed to be like, let's watch it" she said turning to the monitor, causing me to turn as well.

On the screen played the beginning shot of the music video, I remember filming, I stood in the field of tall grass, in a long dress, in rain.

The shoot itself was emotional.

"Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable"

The monologue of me says, as the shot switches to me running in the field looking back at the camera, looking the saddest, I've ever looked.

"It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up"

The shot changes to Justin who was driving in the car with me in the passenger side, looking at him as he was focused on the road.

"And that's what you did to me, what I did to you. I became completely infatuated, intoxicated, unmedicated off of you. You off of me."

The shot then changed to Justin and I pretending to argue, I remember trying so hard not to laugh while filming this.

"Would you die for me?" He asks me.

"Yes" I say all breathy as he held my face, and our heads were touching.

"Too easy... no. Would you live for me?" He asks.

Sounds of heart beat pounding, and glass breaking, to heavy breathing, birds in the sky flying... it looked aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

There was a scene were him and I stood on top off a rooftop, him and I faces to faces as the instrumental played in the background.

"I love you"

"I love you"

The screen went black, and revealed the titles and date meaning it was over, causing me to nod as the audience screamed.

Yura turned back to me, "three words... oh my gosh! You really brought out the actress in you, in the music video, didn't you?" She asks causing me to nod smiling.

"How is this different from all of your other songs?" She asks me.

"Broke us isn't just something I got from watching tv or listening to the news.. Broke us is something personal about me... me being in love... the lyrics... I wrote while... being in a real relationship" I confess causing her to smile.

"With R.M?" She asks causing the audience to scream. I let out slight laugh, "Uh.. maybe" I say deciding whether or whether not to admit it.

"Wait... wait... are you confirming that your upcoming single featuring Justin Bieber is about your past relationship with your ex NamJoon?" She asks trying to get the tea.

"Yes"

The audience screams as my answer. I smile.

"Well you heard it first... Normani Kordei comeback single, "Broke us" featuring Justin Bieber will be released this week friday... Im your host Yura, and well be back with topics, of music, love and happiness all of Normani's comeback" she states before the PD announces that we were off air, but only for three minutes.

My stylist quickly walked onstage to do touch up on my makeup, I watched as Brandon and Lee walked towards me.

Oh i forgot to mention, I rehired Brandon, but also kept Lee. I've worked with Brandon for almost 2 years before joining Bts and months after, me firing him for the mistake wasn't necessary. Truth was I needed him.

"It's your mom" Brandon tells me.

Brandon handed me my phone so I could quickly text my mother.

"Schedule?" I ask Lee who was in charge of that as the stylist applied more lip gloss.

"After this, you have dance practice with your members" Lee informs me.

"And after?" I ask quickly responding to mother who wanted to go house shopping with me, as I did plan to buy an apartment in korea since we weren't in the dorm anymore.

"You have the day free" he explains.

I nod.

"Places everyone!" The PD shouts. The makeup artist rushes off stage, I turn my phone back to Brandon, as he and Lee walk off stage.

"And we're back!" Yura says smiling as I smiled as well.

"Five. Six. Seven. Eight!" Hoseok shouts counting us off as the music blasted through the studio, I stand in the middle looking at the group formation breaking heavily.

Joon approaches me, standing next to me, holding his microphone.

"Are you ready for this?

Are you ready to get hyped up?

Come on!" He says before turning to me, meaning it was the part for the placed in dance break.

The members turned leaving me to face the mirror myself. Jimin and JungKook turn around as I stood in the middle, us three began dancing to the music as the other members joined the back up dancers who entered the room.

The ending of the song was approaching as the dancers approached jimin, JungKook and I. Surrounding us, by the end of the song, It was like I was ending the song.

By the last vocal, I then raised my hands high, and swung them down and like that the dancers including my members fell to the ground, leaving me to be the only one standing like it was choreographed in the beginning.

I breathed heavily, the song finished.

"jal haess-eo" I say loudly clapping and bowing to the dancers who were now leaving the studio.

Joon walks over to me handing me water, I smile thanking him.

"Your korean's getting better" he compliments me. I opened the water, as I approach my bag with Joon following me.

"So I was thinking for the performance we have an intro for you... for your comeback" Joon tells me.

"Intro?"

"Yeah... just something to show everyone that your back" he explains.

Before I could answer, I was cut off when I heard Taehyung's voice.

"yeoleobun annyeonghaseyo!!" He says holding a selfie stick, where he was vlive.

[Translate: hello, everyone!]

"ulineun bang-geum yeonseub-eul machigo nuga uliwa hamkke issneunji chucheughabnida. mani annyeong" he says pointing the camera on Joon and I, and I smiled waving my hands.

[Translate: we just finished practice and guess who is here with us. Mani say hi!"

"hey you guys!" I say waving my hands and smiling at the camera.

"here, vlog" Tae says giving the selfie stick to me. I took the stick and held it up above Joon and I.

"So.. like Tae just said we finished practiced, I think we are about to get something to eat... right guys?!" I ask turning the camera to face all of the members who was getting ready to eat.

"Nae"

They all say at once.

I squinted to look at the comments from the fans.

"new music?"

"your so pretty"

"Where's the album?"

"are you single?"

"How's everyone's day been?" I ask the fans. I read as many people comment, how their day was.

"have you never been on live before?" JungKook asks approaching me realizing I was awkward.

"hey, you guys!" He waves in the camera as I faced it towards him. Jin then walked towards me, "who wants to see Yoongi sleep?" Jin asks causing me to look over to see Yoongi already sleeping on the couch.

Jin takes the camera away causing me to turn to Joon. "so the intro..." he pauses before was interrupted by laughter by the other members.

He sighs in frustration, "just meet me outside" he tells me causing me to nod in agreement.

He walks out before telling the members bye, I grab my items and do the same. I walk down the hallway, scrolling on my phone.

I had a missed message from both Brandon and Lee.

"hey, don't forget your meeting up with Justin in two days to practice"

"Another interview with billboard this Friday"

I noticed Joon was standing by the elevator waiting for me. I smile approaching him as he held the door open for me.

"Thanks"

I stepped inside standing next to him and away from an employee to also stood in the elevator.

The door opens and the employee nods before exiting leaving a silent Joon and I. The doors shut and it wasn't long before we were kissing.

He pulled me into his lips, tightening his grip on my waist as I pull at his hair.

I know what your thinking. What about Bam? What happened to taking a break? I thought you wanted to be away from all of this.

I did. That was until Joon showed up at my house in LA, unexpected and convinced me that us meeting wasn't a mistake, and that we belonged together.

The elevator dings meaning we needed to stop, I quickly pull away fixing my hair, breathing heavily.

The door opens and a couple employee stood there, I nodded before exiting the elevator with Joon.

He and I walked out the elevator walking towards the front doors, "so I'll see you tomorrow?" He asks hesitantly.

"Tomorrow" I nod slowly when tomorrow actually meant today. And today actually meant tonight, at my house.
