《delivery girl》Ch.26

In the architecture department's classroom, Vasco was silently listening to Jace comforting a friend after a break up.
"Your first love causes your judgement to disappear."
"For a guy with no experience, if a girl he likes smiles at him, it's all over."
"Haha! So true."
Vasco looked down at his phone, which had a notification lighting up the screen. When he saw what the message said, he gulped nervously.
You and I have a date to discuss.
In the fashion department classroom, Daniel and Yui were back to their usual antics.
"Daniel~"
"Oh hey...Yui." Daniel shyly scratched at the back of his neck. "What do you think about fat people?"
"Is that important? People are people~" Yui answered as she moved to cling onto Daniel's arm.
'She's kind...'
Daniel couldn't help but make heart eyes every time he looked at her. 'She's different from other girls. She's innocent and sweet.'
What Daniel didn't see was Yui triumphantly smirking at Zoe, who was longingly watching Daniel and Yui's interactions.
But her face fell when she felt eyes on her back. She turned around to see (Y/N) lazily sitting in her desk at the back of the classroom, glaring at her.

Later that day when the final bell rang and students began to pack their belongings, Yui was looking around to make sure Daniel was still in the room.
When she saw that he was, she smirked.
"Hey, (Y/N)~" she called out sweetly. Said girl sighed and look in her direction.
"Yes?" She answered.
Yui glanced to make sure Daniel was there one last time. As she expected, he was curiously watching.
"If you don't like me, you should probably say it to my face instead of giving me dirty looks all the time." She grinned. 'I'll make her look bad!'
She glanced to Daniel again, who was beginning to look worried, and then to (Y/N), who looked undisturbed.
"Yui Kim." (Y/N) started.
"That's my name."
"I don't like you." She said with a shrug.
Yui choked on her spit and her eyes widened with shock. 'She didn't even try to defend herself!' She thought as the stared at (Y/N). 'How does she just not care?!'

"Is that all you wanted? I have work." The other girl asked impatiently.
When Yui just continued to gawk at her, (Y/N) rolled her eyes and put her backpack's straps over her shoulder and walked out.

After school, Duke was doing his livestream again.
"Three viewers, the numbers don't rise." He sighed.
"He's so good, but no one's watching. It's too bad." Jiho whispered to Daniel.
Daniel, however, was not paying attention.
'I wonder what Yui's doing.'
"Oh! Right! What if we ask Daniel to join you?" Jiho suggested. Daniel jumped in his seat.
'M-me?!'
"Everyone loved your song at the festival! Maybe we could ask him at school tomorrow. I'm sure (Y/N) wouldn't mind being a guest either."
'Oh... Oh... People really liked our song?' Daniel thought to himself.
"... Nah."
"I've bothered the both of them enough. Daniel has already done all he can with the festival, and (Y/N) already does too much for me." Duke said, turning around in his chair to look at Daniel and Jiho.
"How could I ask more of them? I've got to break through on my own"
"Wow- Manly!" Jiho complimented, clearly touched by Duke's selflessness.
'D..Duke!'
"I can't cause them anymore trouble." Duke said with a smile. "I don't want Daniel to be judged here, too."
That night, Yui was glaring at her computer's screen.
'How'd Zoe climb the rankings so fast?! She's gonna catch me! She's even stealing my cute catchphrases! She's even up to one of the top broadcasters in a week! What are the site admins thinking?'
She watched as one of her biggest spenders gave Zoe tons of balloons. 'This Gangnam Landlord bastard is here now! He's given her thousands of balloons!! He's just trying to own the broadcasters with balloons!! Thank goodness he's not following me anymore! Guys like that are the most dangerous ones!'
To keep herself in the game, Yui sacrificed her dignity on camera. 'Because of that Zoe bitch.. But guys are still giving me balloons. They give them no matter what!'

She couldn't help but laugh aloud.
'Suckers!! Haha. It's true! Pretty girls have all the power! If you're pretty, you get paid regardless!!'

The next day, Duke found himself becoming discouraged. The comments were getting to him, and the number of viewers was dwindling.
'But I do have a supporter. So I'm gonna keep at it.'
"Duke-" a voice called, taking his attention away from the stream. 'Huh?'
He looked over to see Daniel standing in his doorway.
"I-I let myself in. The door was open. (Y/N) told me to tell you she said hi." He scratched the back of his neck and smiled. "She said she would have come but she promised her brother that she'd stay home with him."
Duke was still in shock as he watched Daniel continue to ramble. 'Da... Daniel?!'
"What're you up to? Wow! Are you broadcasting? I had no clue! Since when? Shall we go on together? We could... maybe do our festival song!"
Duke let a grin spread across his face.
"Alright, you can join me."
"Woah! Really?'
During the stream, Daniel's face drew in more viewers than Duke had ever seen, there was even a balloon battle! It was between Lala Kim and user ASDF, though the users didn't really matter because in the end, it only really benefitted Duke and Daniel.
That wasn't the only livestream that ASDF had donated to that night.
"Ah! A new viewer. User..." the younger boy squinted his eyes behind his glasses to see the screen better. "ASDF, welcome to Minseok's Study Room."
"Today we're talking about how taking breaks is important, and that working too hard will only burn you out." He said with a small grin that was strikingly similar to (Y/N)'s.
He turned his attention back to what he was doing, which was stringing some breads together.
"Sometimes, doing simple tasks that don't require much thought are really good for relaxing-" A door opened off camera and the younger boy looked to see who came in. "Oh, you're home early."
"Yup, it was slow today so the boss let me out early." A familiar voice said.
"Nice, we can eat dinner together now!"
"Yup, I was thinking takeout."
The boy waved the person he was talking to. "Come here, I made something for you."
"Really?"
Another body came into view, wearing a bright red shirt and black pants.
"Say hi to the viewers."
(Y/N) crouched down a bit and awkwardly waved to the camera. "Hi viewers."
The comments immediately began to flood with balloons and things like 'I'm in love!'.
(Y/N) frowned, as soon as some people saw something that looked relatively female they'd forget how to act.
Minseok grinned up at her. "Hold your hand out."
(Y/N) gave him an apprehensive look but still held out her hand. "It's not something gross, is it?"
"No~" the younger boy laughed and slipped the now tied string of beads onto her wrist.
"Oh, thank you." She said, pulling her hand back and using it to ruffle the boy's hair. "Very cute, just like my lil peanut." She teased.
"This is why we don't have nice things." Minseok whined.
Viewers began to comment things like 'So cute!' And 'God I wish that was me.'
(Y/N) and Minseok's attention was taken away from their bickering when there was a bing from the computer.
Gave 10,000 balloons
Have something nice for dinner.
The siblings froze, staring at the computer in silence for a few seconds.
"Jesus Christ..." (Y/N) mumbled.
"Holy shit!" Minseok gasped excitedly, earning a smack upside the head.
"Thank you so much!" He said, rubbing the back of his head. "We're eating good tonight."
"That's a huge help, thank you." (Y/N) added.
"That's it for today guys! We're gonna go eat." Minseok said, waving at the camera.
"There's a lot to choose from tonight." (Y/N) said.
"Haha, yeah!" Minseok agreed.
That was the last thing they heard before the screen went black.
Jay stayed on the blank screen for a bit longer, unable to wipe the smile off of his face.

Magriculture
When Aurum Industries announced the first Full Immersion Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (FIVRMMORPG if you're hip) Limitless Online, most people saw it as an opportunity to live out their sword and sorcery fantasies. John, however, saw it as the opening of a new and as of yet uncrowded job market. One he was willing, and eager, to exploit. Determined to make money through virtual hard work and effort, John sets his sights not on the heights of magic or the perfection of the sword, but instead upon the tilling of the soil and the sowing of seeds as he explores the wide and wonderful world of magical agriculture all from the comfort of his own bed. Disclaimer: This is, at best, a very rough draft. I have already had to do one major rewrite and several minor rewrites of entire sections of the story, and it is a virtual certainty I will have to do re-writes again. Such changes may be as small as editing a few numbers (such as going back and changing how much mana an object holds) or it may force me to re-write entire chapters (this has happened once already, and I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again, but... life). Minor re-writes will probably never be posted here. Major rewrites probably will.Anyway, what this boils down to is: If you're looking for a fully cohesive story with few to no errors and publisher level editing, this is not the story for you. If your looking for a cohesive plot that's more than "Man farms, man farms, man farms well, man maybe makes money" you're probably also in the wrong place, but I will attempt to entertain you anyway.
