(ivory's pov)

zach and i dat on the couch wrapped up in each other's arms. we both were enjoying each other's presence since the bomb just got dropped onto everyone in LA. the quarantine was extended until further notice. lord knows now how long it was going to last.

"hey love?" zach said breaking the silence i looked up at him placing my chin on my hand that was resting on his stomach "what's up" i said cracking a smile "i just have a crazy idea and you might say no but-" "just spill it babe" i said laughing at him trying to persuade me to do one of his crazy ideas "what if we get a puppy..." he looked at me nervous thinking i would say no. i sat up and grabbed his hand "well i think that we better get started on our research" he said up shocked and smiling from ear to ear "really?!" he said shocked. i nodded and he lifted me up spinning me around excitedly "YES WERE GONNA BE PUPPY PARENTS" we both were laughing with excitement before he put me down and gave me a sweet kiss "yes were gonna be puppy parents z"

after a few hours of research we got ready to let in this little furry animal into their lives "okay so we need food and water bowls, leash, crate, bed, food, treats, wee wee pads, collar, harness-" "babe we have everything on the list we checked it five times" he said sitting on the counter. i went over to him and hugged him just falling into his embrace. he kissed my forehead and hugged me back "let's go get out new puppy"

we put on masks and headed to all the shelters and although the dogs were cute we still couldn't click with any of them. we finally made it to a fourth shelter. we looked around at first and saw some dogs but decided to head to the last shelter but just as we were leaving i looked down to see a little Dalmatian puppy in the corner scared. he looked to be no more then two months old and definitely didn't belong in a shelter at such a young age. i bent down and tried calling him over but he was too scared

"babe look at this little guy" i said in a sweet time trying not to scare him. zach looked at the paper and ready some info "toby and he's 2 and a half months old" he said joining me "oh yea someone dropped that one off a few days ago but he doesn't like anyone" the lady at the front desk said. she was a bit...well.....she was a bitch and you could tell she didn't wanna do this job. "can we see him" i questioned. the lady opens the gate and let us in "when you wanna get out just twist the key and give em back when you reach the front desk she said letting us in and locking us in with the little guy "hey there toby i said gently sitting next to him" he was fairly tiny and really skinny definitely not at a good weight. the little puppy looked up at us and started wagging is tail marking me and zach giggle. he got up and walked over to me and zach gently propping himself up on his before giving us lots of kisses. we enjoyed playing with him for the few minutes we had but we knew he was the one.

"love i want him" zach said playing with the puppy he looked so happy "me too" i said before getting up. zach picked up toby and we walked to the front "we would like to adopt him" i said giving the lady the keys. we filled out some paper work and got some doctors forms before heading out with the newest member of this little well i guess family.

we walked into petco and picked out just about 100's of toys for the little guy. we also got him all the essentials and a cute collar and leash as well.

"oh shit" zach said i turned and toby had peed on him. i broke out into a fit of laugher while zach sag there in disgust as he was covered in pee. i took toby and zach quickly ran to the car grabbing a spare hoodie to change

"oh my god you puppy is so cute" some little girl said running up to me and admiring toby. she had a cute little mask on and some latex gloves that clearly didn't fit her. with all the joy i forgot that it was still covid time "thank you-" "Marie!! there you are you can't run away like that" the mom said picking up the little girl letting out a sigh of relief "it's okay she was with me she wanted to see my puppy" i said reassuring the mother. she thanked me and they took off and on cue i got a call from Caden. i haven't told him about toby yet so i quickly answered and didn't show the cute Dalmatian in my hands "hey caden" i said getting a hey back "what's up where are u?" he questioned trying to figure out where i was "that's what i wanted to tell you" i said slowly pointing the camera down to a sleeping puppy in my arms "NO WAY IVY NO YOU DIDN'T" he said with his hand over his mouth "meet toby" i said laughing at how shocked he was "SO YALL ARE LIKE PARENTS" he said jumping up and down. we spoke for a little longer before he had to go

we bought all stuff and got back home. we let him sniff out the place and set up everything in the the living room. we decided it was best since we had no more space in our room and he needed his own space when he grows up "welcome home toby" i said as we all played with the new pup for the rest of the night

the boys called after for our daily game night but we first introduced them to toby which they were all shocked about and said that they needed to meet the little guy asap. we played some cards against humanity and headed to bed for the day or we tried

every two hours the pup would cry in the cage. we knew it was normal but it was still tiring. zach gave up after the third time and pup the puppy in our bed without me know which we all know i yelled at him for later on. this little guy is a blessing but boy was it going to be a hell of a ride...
