A'dream POV
Kaizer laid down on the bed with me straddling his lap as I drew a picture of a rose.
Ever since we came back from our little vacation he hasn't really interacted with me much. He'll just play with the kids, get on his phone, watch TV or go to his parents house.
He's doesn't even try to talk to me.
"What did I do?" I asked him and he looked at me. He raised and eyebrow and I rolled my eyes.
"Why you don't talk to me? What did I do to you?" I asked and he shook his head and I hit him with the notebook.
"Use yo fucking words! Talk to me!" I yelled and he laughed.
"A'dream you didn't do anything. I just been thinking." He said.
"You been thinking a lot lately, you Ight?" I asked and he nodded.
"You love me right?" He asked and I rested my hand on his face.
"If you ask me that one more time Kaizer, I will slap the fuck outta you. YES! I LOVE YOU! That good enough?" I asked and he laughed.
"Just be tryna make sure yo feelings for me ain't gone nowhere." He said.
"Never dat." I said starting to draw again. All the sudden he started laughing and I looked at him.
"What?" I asked and he shook his head.
"I was just remembering something." He said and I nodded. He grabbed my hand just looking at it.
"You got some fat ass fingers." He said and I snatched my hand away.
"Fuck you." I mumbled then we heard Alaidria scream. Kai pushed me off of him and I fell on the floor.
He hopped up running out the room to see what happened.
"Just gon toss me to the side." I mumbled standing up. I left out the room going in Alaidria's seeing King standing by the door just watching as Kai held her in his arms.

"What happened?" I asked Kai as he tried to calm her down. I looked at King as he had the same look in his eyes that Kai would have whenever he hit me.
"King what did you do?" I asked as he just stared at her.
"She did wrong so she had to face the consequence." He said and Kai looked at him.
"Damnit." He said and I looked at him.
"What?" I asked and he shook his head.
"King did you hit her?" I asked and he nodded slowly so I popped him.
"Why would you hit her?" I asked and he looked at me.
"Did you not hear what I said? She did wrong so she had to face the consequence." He said.
"We do not hit people King, especially not no girl." I said.
"Daddy hit you. And you a girl." He said and I stared at him.
"That doesn't mean you can do it Ka- King. Yo daddy's mistakes shouldn't be your mistakes." I said.
"He setting the example, get on him bout dis." He said before walking out the room.
I looked at Kai and he laid Alaidria down. He whispered something to her before coming and dragging me out her room back to ours.
"Kaizer what da hell is wrong with you?" I asked and he sighed.
"Listen to me pl-"
"No! What do you tell King? You've never hit me in front of him! Did you tell him that hitting a girl was ok?! If you did-"
"Shhhhh! Be quiet, please let's talk without all the extra." He said and I rolled my eyes.
"Remember a few years back when I fount out Alaidria wasn't mine?" He asked and I nodded slowly.
"I remember getting a gun and him wanting me to put it away so I explained to him that you deserved-"
"Why? Why would you let him know any of this? Pulling out a gun in front of him? Yeah you real smart Kai." I said and he sighed.

"Dream you have every right to be upset with me-"
"Damn right I do." I said and he sighed.
"Can you just listen to-"
"No I cannot. I'm pissed off Kai. Our son is gonna start acting like his bitch ass daddy. One of my fears." I said.
"Why I gotta be a bitch ass daddy?" He asked and I mushed his head.
"You think shit is a joke and I'm not playing Kai, I'll take off on yo ass. See if it's funny den. Ass gon sit in that corner all depressed and shit then gon start sniffing coke again." I said and he smacked his lips.
"Why you gotta take it there?" He asked.
"Because! You think everything funny. Don't wanna listen to me til I get hype like dat. I don't want King to end up like you." I said.
"And he won't, King is his own person tho. Can't blame me for the way he acts." He said and i was finna hit him but he grabbed my wrist.
"Yes I can he looks up to you Kai. You set The example. You do something he gon follow. You say jump the nigga gon say how high. He gon do what you do, say what you say, act how you act, walk how you walk and talk how you talk. He looks up to you Kai an you not setting a good example." I said and he let me go.
"I'm sorry ok, imma talk to him. And imma do better." He said and I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever, get out my face." I said and he laughed slapping my ass before running out the room.
"Big ass fucking kid." I mumbled.

Kaizer POV
I opened the door of Kings room and he quickly put something under his pillow. Scrunching up my face I walked towards him.
"What you hiding?" I asked and he shook his head:
"What did you put under the pillow?" I asked and he shrugged.
"Don't play wit me King." I said and he looked at me.
"I'm not playing, ion know." He said and tried to reach under the pillow but he pushed my hand away.
"Can you just go?" He asked.
"King, sweet child of mine. The hell are you hiding?" I asked and he sighed.
"You won't get mad at me right?" He asked.
"I don't know, depends." I said.
He reached under the pillow before pulling out a small bag and I looked at him.
"Do you want me to beat yo fucking ass?" I asked and his eyes watered.
"I'm sorry, I just found it." He said and I snatched it from him.
"Found it from where?" I asked through gritted teeth.
"I don't know why you getting mad at me, it was in a box with your name on it." He said and my eyes widened.
I haven't touched that box in a few years. Mainly because I'm done with this shit and I was gone.
"A'dream!" I called.
"King you ever touched this sniffed this?" I asked and he shook his head.
"I just found it tonight." He said and I nodded.
"Don't ever pick up anything like this again. You find one you come tell me." I said and he nodded then A'dream came in the room.
"What?" She asked and I showed her the bag.
"Kaiz-"
"King found it in a box with my name on it. I haven't touched that box or anything in it in forever. And this a new house, so why is it here? A'dream you been doing this shit?"

Lesser Evil
In a perfect world, an alcoholic, hedonistic, mentally abusive individual like Audry Forge would never coincide with his attempts to stop the extinction of life. But there is no perfect world. There is no other person. Only the lesser of evils. Participant of the Royal Road Writathon challenge - 55k words Author's Note: This is story has been the easiest to write in my time of writing. I thoroughly enjoy it! You may not understand the premise in the first few chapters but need not worry buddy, I've been working ahead. Things will start rolling! I hope you enjoy it. Give me feedback and make sure to share it around! Other Info: Normally I wouldn't put any warnings but this story will be going down a pretty dark path (based on irl experiences) fairly early on. There will not be any overtly sexual content this early but some themes are suggestive. There is profanity. There are references to drugs and alcohol. There are dramatic relationships that I'm trying to base off of real life. There is more of a focus on characters. There will be unpleasant scenes in regards to death, while others will be brushed over. There will also be a fair amount of pop culture references too! Give it a try. You might like my form of storytelling!
