《Toxic》Very Funny, J

-From Joker's POV-
I didn't appreciate Y/n's little stunt at the club, but I had to let her know she wasn't going to win this anytime soon so I spent a lot of time in between my usual work days plotting. A week and a half had passed since that night and she would occasionally text me and I would text back short and dry just to annoy her. Scott had fetched Bones' car for me and it was sitting in the driveway and I had yet to go through it yet. But today was the day. I was suspicious of something and if my theory was right, I had a huge step up on my sweet little dollface.
I opened the door of the driver's side and used a flashlight to look around. I checked the backseat, the trunk, under the passenger's seat. And then I found it. Under the driver's seat. Bones you cheeky weird bastard you. I had remembered that night that Y/n came home late, and without a bra, that she was messing around with Bones in his car. I had no idea if he had given her bra back to her while he was alive, it was a 50/50 chance. But it looks like the odds were in my favor today. I started laughing as I dangled it from my finger.
I had put it in the drawer of my desk in my office and shut it. She has no idea what's coming.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Four weeks have passed and it was now mid December. Y/n would have conversations over the phone sometimes where we would discuss business or pickup our cat-and-mouse antics, but we mostly texted. A lot. For the past week though, I had been more forward with her and stronger on my advances.
I had finished wrapping a bow across the top of the box. It was magenta colored, of course, and then I got dressed in a casual black and white suit this time. "Time for a little visit, dollface." It was dark and cold outside as the snow fell at a steady rate. I got into my car and started driving to her house. I had no idea which days her boyfriend was working during the day, but I had a hunch he would regularly spend the nights there which was the motive for me visiting so late in the evening.

I pulled into the driveway and got out of the car, grabbing the box with my hands. I rang her doorbell and heard nothing, then footsteps approaching. I was smiling until I realized who opened the door. "Black." I said in an annoyed tone.
"It- it's Blue. Joker, sir..." the idiot mumbles out. I had an annoyed expression on my look as I looked over his shoulder and didn't see Y/n. A moment later, I hear her voice coming from around the corner and then she appears wearing a robe.
"Well don't just make him stand out in the cold!" she snaps at Blue. He steps aside and motions for me to come in and I step in. "J, what are you doing here?" she asks in confusion as she folds her arms to keep her robe on.
"Well Christmas is coming up so I wanted to drop my gift off just a tad early." I say with a grin. I hand her the box and she takes it into her hands and examines it. "You can open it later. I just wanted to drop it off and check on you since I haven't seen you in such a long time." I emphasize. I can tell she's trying to figure out what I'm doing, but I doubt she would ever figure it out. This was going to be a blindside. "Now, I'm on my way. Lovely to see you my dear." I say as I turn and head back to the car.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-From your POV-
What in the hell were you up to, J? I gently pushed the door closed and then set the box down on the table and looked at it. "What was that??" Blue asks. I look at him.
"How the hell should I know?" I snap at him.
"You need to tell him he can't just randomly show up at our house at ni-" Blue starts rambling.
"I need to tell him? Our house? Babes this is my house, first of all, and second of all I don't need to tell him anything. He's not my pet." I hiss back before turning back to the box. I hear him scoff lightly. "What even is your deal? The jealousy is not cute. You don't even have anything to be jealous of." I say as I run my fingers along the edge.

"I have nothing to be jealous of? What about the clear chemistry and whatever there is going on between you?" he says.
"How many times do I need to tell you that there's nothing going on between us?" A lie! It goes silent and he doesn't reply so i turn around to face him. "Exactly. We haven't even seen each other in over a month, since he came here the night I had to stitch him up." I say to him. He frowns slightly.
"You're right... I'm... I'm so sorry Y/n." he whimpers. I roll my eyes.
"Whatever, don't be a crybaby." I mumble out as I turn back to the present, running my fingers along the bow.
"Well, are you going to open it?" he asks from behind me. I slide my fingers under the bow and begin unwrapping it. It was quite the lavish box, but J had an eye for the extravagant stuff. I lift the lid off and my jaw drops slightly when my eyes examine it. It was a brand new set of throwing knives that all had magenta metal and on the handle, they all had a small M engraved. I picked one up and turned it around in my fingers, admiring it. I flipped it over and realized on the back there was more engraving. My doll. I just lightly shook my head and flipped it back over. Of course he did. "What is it?" Blue asks from over my shoulder.
"Just some new throwing knives." That I could tell costed a fortune and also had a term of endearment on the back.
"Hm. Cool... I'm going to bed. Coming?" he asks me.
"Yeah, just one second. I'm about to put these in the artillery room and then I'll join." I say. He nods and heads off and I turn my attention back to the box. I pull the molded insert out of the box that comfortably held all the knives in place. I gently wiggled and shimmied it out of the box and then realized what was in the bottom. Oh my God.
J.... Really? Of course you did.
It was a matching magenta lingerie set. The bra (which was oddly my size?) was normal, just lacy. More of a bralette, really. But the panties and the stockings. Boy oh boy. The panties were lacy too, but on the front was a strip of regular fabric just big enough that he managed to have words embroidered. In small black lettering, it said: Property of Mr.J. Jesus Christ, was I going to punch him in the face next time I saw him. I then move onto the stockings; they were individual thigh highs that were sheer but had embroidery at the top. Joker was here. I let out a single laugh at his antics. You crazy, crazy bastard. I shook my head as I dropped them in the box. Obviously, I couldn't wear it around Blue or else he would have a stroke and start again with his weird and baseless jealousy.I closed the lid on the box and carried it into the bedroom and shoved it into my closet and shut the doors before crawling into bed.
Oh J, you weren't joking when you said this wasn't over, were you?

-From Joker's POV-
I had waited another week before making any other advancement on Y/n. I knew that my little gift would stir up her mind and that my unannounced visit would also cause fuss in the relationship. And that was just what I wanted and needed. Tonight was Friday and Christmas was next Wednesday.
She texts back in about five minutes.
I chuckle at her text.
It was already 4 PM meaning that there wasn't too much time that I had to wait, which was good because I was impatient.
God I love the little games we play, doll.

The Essence of Cultivation
After experiencing five years of an adventurer's life, Arcanist Sylar Wershin now spends his days catching up on developments in Essence Studies and teasing apart the functions of arcane trinkets and artifacts discovered by him and his companions throughout their time travelling the realms of Resham. An unexpected accident during the study of his latest subject of intrigue, however, displaces him across the Planes beyond what any known spell is capable of achieving. Now finding himself lost in a realm rich in previously-limited Transcendental Essences, however, does he truly even want to return back to his old world? If nothing else, plagiarising - ahem, learning new spell structures by observing the local mages should prove entertaining. Sure, there were new dangers in this foreign world, but they wouldn't be anything a fancy bit of spellwork couldn't solve. Though, he would appreciate it greatly if someone could explain to him just what this 'cultivation' business was, why the local Mages were all muscle-brained freaks obsessed with immortality, and why they all seemed to lack any appreciation for the finer details of Essence manipulation. That would be nice.
