"Did you not read my note?" His hands found his pockets as he pushed out his chest.
"Yes." I turned myself back round in hope that he wouldn't get a glimpse of the impish smile making its way across my face.
"and?"
"And I chose to ignore it."
I heard his footsteps making their way across the hard wood floor and before long the touch of his hand wrapped around my waist. He pulled slightly encouraging my hip to move with him until I was back to facing him.
"I thought I made myself quite clear when I told you that you were mine...and mine only Ivy." He moved his face gently closer to mine, breaking the gap between us. His breath much calmer and slower than the pace of mine, His eyes locked on me making it near unbearable not to break. "Did you think that was going to anger me Ivy? Send me crazy?" his grasp moved towards my chin, the intense grip escaped a harsh breath from within my chest. He jolted my chin up towards him, never taking his eyes off me.
The unbroken silence haunted the air, I was unsure whether he was waiting for a response or not but without control my voice broke the quiet.
"Yes."
A short breath of amusement left him and in turn a smile then reached his face. As much as I possibly tried I couldn't help the laughter that bubbled out of me and like a symphony to my ears the ring of his laughter was all around me.
"You truly are the best distraction I could ever ask for...do you know that?" His smile had settled slightly but still held a place on his face.
"I do now."

He released an almighty huff, in a way that without needing any words had reminded me that the feared facts I needed to hear were only moments away.
My smile diminished quicker than I had intended, by the look on Draco's face he already knew what was coming.
"How bad is it?" I kept my voice soft and quiet.
"Bad enough to know that I can't let you do this."
"Draco please don't start this again, you know that isn't an option. Did he mention anything about me..when he would...need me?"
"My..father will be contacting you soon. He said nothing to me but whatever it is Ivy..I-I can't let this happen to you. You don't understand."
"I will soon Draco. I have to. you know there isn't a choice...can I.." The words couldn't come out, even though every tiny piece of me was dying to know more the fear had set in so much so that no words seemed to want to leave my mouth.
"Can you see?...Ivy you don't want to. Please, Ivy when you see it-it's not want you want its not-" His words were becoming muffled, the strain in his voice sent an ache through me...all I wanted to do was throw my arms around him and hold him until the pain he was feeling had disappeared.
There was something about seeing someone so strong in pain so much more excruciating than others who wore their heart on their sleeve. Like the rock hard structure you were so used to leaning on had just developed a huge crack right through the centre and no matter what you did nothing could mend it because you didn't have the strength inside to hold up yourself never mind the only thing keeping you up.

I pulled myself closer to him, trying my best not to step over and invade the space he most likely needed. Even though right now would be so easy to slip into a world wind of pain and dismay I knew deep down within me that wasn't going to help him, that even if it was the last thing he could ever admit and my god did I know it was...he wasn't ok..he needed someone and that someone was me.
"How did it feel when you got your wand?"
I watched Draco's face of extreme concern turn into one of a sort of uplifted confusion. "What? What has that got to do with anything?"
"It doesn't, but I don't care about anything else right now. I haven't seen you in months and all I care about is absorbing every moment I have with you and learning everything I can about you. So..how did it feel when you got your wand? Also a jumper by any chance?" I turned my attention back to the furniture that I'm sure would hold his belongings.
"Erm..second drawer..." Even though he was just slightly out of clear eyesight I was sure I saw his shoulders relax slightly. No longer tense and tight. "My wand..well..I was with my father but he needed to speak with someone outside Ollivanders..it's sort of a blur now I guess but I'm sure it was just like anyone else's" I reached in to grab one of his old Slytherin sweaters which I presumed was from his Quidditch uniform. I hadn't got chance to come up with an answer before Draco had suddenly began speaking again. "It was surreal really...like I finally had something that felt like mine. I mean everything I'd had in my life was mine I guess I mean I never had to share with anyone...but it was different..it was something that picked me...that was just for me and no one else." My eyes followed his voice the moment he had began speaking, something so drawing about his voice, about the honesty when he spoke. Something to remind me of his human emotions.
He turned his back away from me and headed towards his bed, I watched as he perched himself at the end. His head hung lower than his usual confident self almost in a stance of defeat.
I crept my way over to his bed making sure not to disturb his thoughts. "You know there's something else similar to your wand"
I reached over to his unsettled hand, until I could clasp myself around it.
"Always and Forever."
