《Steal The Male Lead》4.4

Lee Shinwoo walked at a pace that was neither fast nor slow, stopping every once in a while as people turned to look at him. Further into the town now, there were still some people that hadn't left for any bases. And some of them recognized who he was, but they didn't step up. That only made sense. This was the apocalypse now, killing was much easier than said.
Lee Shinwoo had been trying to sniff out Min Yongjoon, not literally sniffing, but searching for him. Fei Shang had said that he was currently moving at a faster rate than expected, but it wasn't so fast that he wouldn't be able to catch up. Lee Shinwoo could tell that he was getting closer to Min Yongjoon.
As Lee Shinwoo was walking, he stopped.
[Host, Min Yongjoon is inside that mall.]
Lee Shinwoo looked to the right, staring at what was once a booming mall. He scrunched his brows.
(Inside of there?)
[Yes, Host. Also, there are detections of zombies in there. Please heed the warnings that like the humans, the zombies are also evolving at a fast rate. Also, every time you kill a zombie, there will be a red core located at the back of their necks. The core has energy within them and can help you level up your abilities.]
(Speaking about abilities, Fei Shang, can you detect what level I am at.)
[Host, all your levels are at level two. I made some updates on the body so that you would be ahead of any other ability user.]
Lee Shinwoo smirked at that. Taking another look at the building, he walked in. It was weird since he hadn't encountered any zombies even as a lone person walking by himself. Maybe they had detected that he had abilities and were choosing to stay away from him?
(Thanks.)
As Lee Shinwoo stepped into the building, he could tell right away that many people had stolen things already. Well, not that it was his business, but they had definitely left a mess. Shattered glass laid on the floor, broken walls, things left in tatters and Lee Shinwoo was pretty sure he had just saw a dead rat.
Taking a quick look, Lee Shinwoo softened his steps to stop any echoing within the building. The mall was quite big so it might take a while, but if he listened carefully, he should be able to detect some human noises.
Then, he could hear chattering echoing through the mall.
There were three voices.
Weird. In the story, it hadn't stated any details that Min Yongjoon was teamed up with anyone. Though, Min Yongjoon's partners may have been killed before he had met Kim Jiyoung.
And then, a scream was heard as ferocious growls followed. Lee Shinwoo perked up at once, his legs began running towards the sound.
It didn't take long for Lee Shinwoo to find them. At once, he recognized Min Yongjoon, but the other two men were still unknown to him.

There were five zombies, and currently, it didn't seem like any of them had abilities.
Lee Shinwoo wondered if he should keep his abilities a secret, but, he was sure that by now, there had to be some people who had already discovered this fact.
So, without even thinking twice, a blue flame emitted from his hand and Lee Shinwoo threw it towards the first zombie that had turned to him. He glanced around as a zombie came up behind him, a bolt of lightning striking down on that zombie with a wave of his hand.
Lee Shinwoo could hear someone gasp, but he was too occupied to deal with that. With a smirk on his face, he grabbed a growling zombie by the neck, his other hand burnt the zombie in the chest, a growl was heard.
The zombie wasn't dead so Lee Shinwoo moved his target to its head, a purple lightening striking it with a crackle, its head busted into burnt flesh and the zombie stopped growling.
Lee Shinwoo could feel the air change, a sound from behind him made him dodge low, and initiate a round kick at the zombie's legs, tripping the zombie over. Then, without a second to spare, Lee Shinwoo burnt the zombie with a flame, it's growls getting higher as it finally stopped making any noise.
Lee Shinwoo had dealt with four zombies by himself. It wasn't hard, he knew how to move his body since he was a great fighter in his last life as Victor.
Lee Shinwoo turned to look at the fallen zombie who was dealt with by Min Yongjoon and his friends.
Lee Shinwoo looked at them with raised eyebrows, as if he was judging them for taking so long to deal with one zombie.
Then, without a care for any of them, he checked the necks of all the zombies trying to find the red core. Upon finding one, Lee Shinwoo pulled a dagger from his pocket and dug it out. Out of the five zombies, only two of them had cores.
Then, as if he hadn't done anything, he turned to look back at Min Yongjoon and his group.
Putting the dagger back into the pockets of his pants, he looked at the three of them once again. They were all still dressed in nice clothes and although they did look a bit haggard, it was only understandable. Still, Min Yongjoon had a light smile on, a bright look in his eyes that made Lee Shinwoo's heart jumped.
(Min Yongjoon, 26 years old)
"I'm assuming none of you got bitten, right?" There was undeniable haughtiness in Lee Shinwoo's tone, but that was normal for him anyways. As he stood in front of the three, his hands in his pocket, he looked at them and scanned them with his hands. It was almost too easy for him to do so and he liked the air of supremacy that seemed to spread from him. This was the real him, the normal him who didn't have to cower or fear anything.

Min Yongjoon only lightly shook his head, and with grin on his face, he replied, "Nope. Thank you for your help, most people would have used this moment to escape but, assuming by your special abilities, it seems that you didn't decide to do so."
Lee Shinwoo looked at Min Yongjoon. This man was also really good looking in this life too, not that he minded but, spending a lifetime with this man had been quite a good time.
"Your name?" Lee Shinwoo wasn't going to introduce himself first, not after saving this man and his group. Think of it as a little payback for all the work he had done killing off four zombies while they only managed one. Well, it wasn't hard but he had expected his hubby to be stronger than this. It looked like he would have to train him.
Min Yongjoon merely smiled at that. "My name is Min Yongjoon, 26 years old. This is my older brother, Min Hosung, and this is his boyfriend, Yoo Jinsook." Min Yongjoon pointed at a smaller man by his side before pointing to the taller man next to his brother.
Lee Shinwoo nodded himhad as Min Hosung waved at him.
"My name is Lee Shinwoo." After saying that, Lee Shinwoo pointed his hands at all three of them, saying, "I'm assuming that all three of you are traveling to a base, aren't you?"
Min Yongjoon looked at his brother, not know what to say.
Min Hosung nodded his head, replying, "Yes, that's our plan for now. But, later on, we want to head to Chuncheon to find our parents. Although there is little possibility that they are alive, we would like to make sure of this first." While saying this, there was a sad light in his eyes. Yoo Jinsook stood by him and grasped his hands as comfort.
"I'll take you then." Lee Shinwoo suddenly spoke up. "I actually wanted to go meet someone, but since you three are here, I can help send you to the military base A."
Min Yongjoon widened his eyes as he refuted, "No, that's alright. You've already done enough by helping us with the zombies."
Lee Shinwoo smirked as he said, "Then considered it a bonus on my part for meeting such a handsome man like yourself." He winked at Min Yongjoon as he said this.
Min Yongjoon was about to say more but as soon as those words were said out loud, he stopped himself, a red blush creeping onto his ears.

Min Hosung looked at his brother then at Lee Shinwoo and smiled suspiciously. Yoo Jinsook knocked his knuckles against Min Hosung's head with a scolding look.
"Ah! Here," As Lee Shinwoo said this, he dug into his bag, pulling out some weapons. They were mostly daggers and weapons that wouldn't make much noise. "Since it seems like you don't have any weapons to attack the zombies, keep this. Although there won't be that many zombies yet, you should still have something to fight with."
He handed the daggers along with some other small weapons to Min Yongjoon, Min Hosung, and Yoo Jinsook.
"Thank you," Min Yongjoon said as he grasped the dagger and held it. He looked at Lee Shinwoo, a smile on his lips that could attract the hearts of many.
"No problem." Lee Shinwoo replied as he put his bag back on his back. "Just follow me. I was recently at the base and my parents are there too. Over the past few days, the base had recently been filled so not many people were able to find a place within it. I can ask my parents to let you all stay at our place." And, he started walking.
Min Yongjoon followed after Lee Shinwoo, Min Hosung and Yoo Jinsook also walked after him.
"Are you sure? Wouldn't that be an inconvenience? We can just find our own place." Min Yongjoon couldn't help but feel as if he was hindering Lee Shinwoo too much. After all, they had just met.
"Don't worry, my parents wouldn't care at all. Plus, it wouldn't be good if I just left you like that. This much, I can at least do." Lee Shinwoo looked to the side, staring into Min Yongjoon's eyes as he said this.
Min Yongjoon couldn't help but evade Lee Shinwoo's piercing eyes. He looked down at the floor as he walked, he could feel his own face turning hot.

AN- Just some clarifications on the book so far.
Who killed Zhu Longwang? There was some confusion on who killed him but that person is Baicheng.
Are Baicheng and Fei Qianchi the same person? No, they aren't.
Fei Shang is Fei Qianchi's adopted brother while Zhu Luishui and Zhu Longwang are blood related brothers.
The memories/flashbacks are confusing but I honestly did that on purpose. I like reading your comments while you are trying to figure out what happened and whatnot.
There is also a reason why I had so many different perspectives, telling each of the characters stories. I think one of the biggest reason why I did that was because I wanted to get across that sometimes things happen and one side isn't the main story.
If you still have any confusion, please comment here and I will try to reply back.

Another world? Some weird magic? Sure.
Writing my last novel, I realized that before you start, an ending should be there in your mind. So I wrote this as an atonement to my first novel. This is a typical story about someone who gets stranded in another world with OP powers. But this is not about just the MC, but also some people around him who directly/indirectly had their lives changed. I've written this as a collection of short stories where some may be bigger and more intense than the others. Note: I've finished writing all the chapters, but will upload on my own discretion.
