《Steal The Male Lead》152

Fei Qianchi glanced at the man before him. Six years have now passed ever since he had first awoken in that tattered house. Ever since that day, Fei Qianchi had sworn to get stronger, to find the man who had saved him, leaving behind the pendant with a character, 'Bai.'
Fei Qianchi was now a teenager. His features had grown out. In the crowd of many, it was easy to see that he stuck out. His figure was tall and strong, his Phoenix eyes were sharp. With long white hair and blue eyes, many of the elders of Fushui Sect kept glancing at him. Dressed in a white robe, Fei Qianchi's thin lips encased him with a gentle light. His face still held a bit of baby fat, but it was easy to tell just how remarkable his face would look in a few years.
Fei Qianchi stood, holding a small scroll within his hand, his eyes piercing. There was a pendant hanging by his hip, a dragon imprinted on it.
Throughout these years, Fei Qianchi had spent his time wandering. Having entered many forests, he sought for treasures following the words of Chan Lihua. Now, at the age of 16, he was already at the fifth layer of the Foundation Establishment. Having hone himself in some of the most dangerous forests, Fei Qianchi had stumbled upon many rare treasures from caves, finding books and rare concoctions such as pills.
"This person, I want to take him as a disciple." Right away, someone had locked onto Fei Qianchi.
Fei Qianchi turned to this voice with a light look, chancing upon a female, presumably an Elder.
"Hmmm, 16 years old and already on the fifth layer of Foundation Establishment! Junior Sister, unfortunately, I also want this boy as my disciple. He has rare ice roots that will benefit greatly with my type of cultivation method." Another man rubbed his beard, speaking in turn.
The woman's eyes lifted at the man, whipping her horsetail whisk as she said, "This boy caught my attention first, Senior Brother."
Fei Qianchi's eyes were caught by someone else though. There was another man standing further away from the two elders.
Without giving it a second thought, Fei Qianchi walked towards the man who still had his youthful features. Walking towards the man who held a fan within his hands, Fei Qianchi knew who this man was right away. This was the man that he hoped would become his master, the sole reason why Fei Qianchi had wanted to come to this Fushui Sect. Tian Sichan, his name was revered as one of the youngest geniuses having stepped foot into immortality at the age of 387 years old.
Fei Qianchi stopped before Tian Sichan as the man lifted a brow towards him. Fei Qianchi wasn't nervous as he got down onto his knees, parting his robe out of the way. "This one's name is Fei Qianchi. Having admired Immortal Tian for so long, I wish for you to accept me as your disciple." Fei Qianchi bowed down, cupping his fists as he spoke in a loud and solid tone.
Tian Sichan's fan stopped, looking down at the young man who bowed before him. There was a faint smile on his lips as he examined the boy's attributes.
"You request to become my disciple, do you know that I have only accepted four disciples during the 50 years that I have been an elder at this sect?" Tian Sichan questioned Fei Qianchi.
Fei Qianchi didn't waver though as he replied once more, "I have traveled from far to this sect all to meet Immortal Tian with hopes that I would be accepted by you. Whether you accept or not, I only want you as my master." His words could come off as arrogant, but Fei Qianchi was also stubborn. Though others wanted him as their disciple, he had eyes on only one man.

Fei Qianchi had a reason as to why he chose this man out of everyone else. Tian Sichan was the only man who had not given him any reaction, the only one who didn't marvel about his current cultivation at his age. Fei Qianchi could feel that the man was also too mysterious, liking a secluded life, especially as he barely had any disciples. Fei Qianchi was not searching to spread his name, he wanted a quick way to gather strength and Tian Sichan knew how to do that.
Tian Sichan suddenly chuckled, "It seems like you came here prepared. Well, out of all the other people here, you are the only one who has stepped foot into the Foundation Establishment stage. Not to mention, when compared to the others, you are relatively younger too. But, I'm sure that many of the Elders already have their eyes on you. Why choose me?" Tian Sichan folded his fan, looking down at Fei Qianchi who finally lifted his head.
Fei Qianchi's blue eyes gazed into Tian Sichan's, "I merely think that you suit me the most. I do not seek a path of fame, only power and you have that. Each of your few disciples have strength unrivaled, they seek a path of power and seclusion from the world."
Tian Sichan looked at the other elders who had turned their eyes on him, awaiting his next move. Finally, his lips lifted into a smile as he finally conceded, "Then it seems that I can only accept you."
Tian Sichan materialized a white and blue robe. As Fei Qianchi finally stood up, he handed the robe to him and asked, "What is your name?"
"My name is Fei Qianchi, Qian for previous and Chi for incur." Fei Qianchi accepted the robe and replied. There was a sense of relief in his heart as Tian Sichan nodded.
Tian Sichan looked at the young man in front of him as he finally announced, "Fei Qianchi, I, Tian Sichan, Lord of Shuihua Peak, will accept you as my fifth disciple. From this day on, you will belong to Shuihua Peak."
Fei Qianchi smiled, a hint of relief in his eyes, "Yes, Master."
Tian Sichan nodded his head, returning his smile. Looking around, he then announced, "This Junior Brother will be taking his leave first. Senior Sisters and Senior Brothers, I will accept this one disciple into Shuihua Peak and he will be the only one to enter Shuihua Peak for this annual selection."
Fei Qianchi watched as Tian Sichan announced this, his blue eyes glittering. Finally, Tian Sichan turned back towards him.
Fei Qianchi held onto the robes within his hand, watching as Tian Sichan handed a talisman to him.
"Rip it, this will automatically teleport you to the gates of Shuihua Peak. Right now, you are still not strong enough to teleport using your powers, but I can slowly teach you that." Tian Sichan explained.
Fei Qianchi nodded his head. The robes in his hands disappeared into the storage ring he had on his right hand, and he grabbed the talisman that was handed to him. Looking at Tian Sichan, he finally ripped it.
Fei Qianchi felt his body float, a fleeting feeling. Truthfully, Fei Qianchi could use his sword to move around but he didn't want to reveal too many tricks about himself just yet. Having spent a lot of time wandering the forests, Fei Qianchi had found treasures that helped further enhance his body and his Qi. It was why he was one of the rarest talents found at this Fushui Sect selection.

Fei Qianchi opened his eyes, having appeared in front of a huge gate. The air was clean around them, a deep bamboo forest surrounded the huge building within. There was the sound of a waterfall on the mountain, birds chirping in the distance.
Not long after, Tian Sichan appeared. "Shuihua Peak has pendants that are handed out. These pendants will open the gates by simply placing the pendant onto the fire emblem located by the Phoenix here. Unfortunately, I didn't bring an extra pendant as it was not my intention to accept another disciple. You were a variable that I wasn't expecting to show up."
The gates opened up, revealing the pathway surrounded by a garden full of herbs used to make elixirs and refining pills.
Fei Qianchi followed Tian Sichuan in silence as the man led him towards the building with huge pillars by the entrance. Fei Qianchi wasn't scared. Though his cultivation was small in front of these people, he knew that Shuihua Peak was a peak that rarely accepted disciples. Tian Sichan did not accept many disciples but each of his disciples were rare geniuses.
Fei Qianchi's goal was to enter this peak, all for the sake of Tian Sichan, the man who Fei Qianchi admired for his cultivation. As Tian Sichan led him into the courtyard, the surrounding was quiet. Except for the birds chirping from the bamboo forest, there was no other sound. As they walked further into the courtyard, walking past many pavilions, the sound of voices were now heard clearly.
There was a few screams and voices cheering. Fei Qianchi's ears perked up.
Tian Sichan then said, "Those are your Senior Brothers and Sisters. Don't mind them. Most of them are a bit rowdy within the Peak on the times that they gather. Usually though, they are in secluded training and won't appear as often. Other times, they will be out on missions to gain materials needed for their cultivation process."
"Yes, Master." Fei Qianchi's lips held a light smile as he listened to the noise within.
Throughout all these years, ever since losing his mother, Fei Qianchi spent a life wandering. He had met many people during his time growing up. He had met bad people, good people, elders and children, poor and rich, Fei Qianchi saw a lot. It had helped sculpt him, mature him.
That voice that once whispered into his ear stopped. Fei Qianchi no longer heard that voice when he thought of his mother anymore. He was able to suppress that voice, the darkness within him that he later came to realize. After cultivating himself and getting stronger, Fei Qianchi still searched for the man who had once saved him.
Fei Qianchi learn to suppress, to not let himself be overtaken by the darkness within him, the demonic energy that resided within him. Searching for his savior had helped Fei Qianchi keep his sanity through this time. It became one of the biggest cause in his life as Fei Qianchi became stronger.
Following behind Tian Sichan, Fei Qianchi lifted his blue eyes as they entered a courtyard. Inside, the sound of swords clattering was heard. Shouts and screams were heard, curses even evident. Fei Qianchi watched as a man and woman fought one another, a sword in each of their hand, flying through the air. Off to the side, another man and woman were cheering, screaming and encouraging as spectators.
"Master!"
The woman immediately stopped her sword, kicking the other man away as she turned to Tian Sichan, bowing and cupping her fist.
Tian Sichan nodded his head as everyone else looked at him and followed the woman's actions.
"Master!"
Fei Qianchi examined these four people. He knew who they were.
The man dressed in the white and blue robes, a black sword in his hand, was both gallant and elegant. His hair was tied up by a jade hairpin, swordlike eyebrows, narrow eyes. He was Hou Mengshu, Tian Sichan's first disciple. Hou Mengshu was currently 42 years old, a cultivator at the ninth layer of Nascent Soul, one stage away from breaking through and entering Soul Transformation.
The woman with a sword was dressed in the same robes, her long hair tied up by a ribbon. Her face was pale and heroic, a strong beauty, with a strong piercing gaze and a tough smile. She was Fu Huayan, Tian Sichan's second disciple. Fu Huayan was currently 35 years old and was at the fourth layer of Nascent Soul.
On the other side, the two other man and woman were twins. With very similar features, the only difference between them was their heights that made it easier to tell who was who. Zhang Bingmei and Zhang Zaifan were twins, born with high aptitude. They both had the same arched eyebrows, thin lips, deep eyes, with a crimson mark between their brows. Zhang Bingmei and Zhang Zaifan were 27 years old, and were both at the seventh layer of Core Formation.
"Master, is this your new disciple?" Zhang Bingmei asked with a bright smile, her eyes curving as she glanced towards Fei Qianchi.
Tian Sichan nodded at her question, "This will be your new junior brother. His name is Fei Qianchi, born with pure ice spiritual roots." He looked over at Fei Qianchi.
Fei Qianchi smiled, curtly cupping his fists as he slightly bowed and introduced himself. "This one's name is Fei Qianchi, currently 16 years old, my cultivation is at the fifth layer of the Foundation Establishment." Fei Qianchi's voice was very calming, words spoken in a respectful tone.
Zhang Bingmei's eyes glinted as she nudged her younger brother, Zhang Zaifan, who grunted as he dodged.
Fu Huayan and Hou Mengshu looked at one another as they stood, looking at Fei Qianchi.
As if planned ahead of time, all their voices rung out in unison. "Congratulations to Master on accepting a new disciple!"
Hou Mengshu stepped forward, his eyes lingering on Fei Qianchi as he introduced himself. "I am Master's first disciple, Hou Mengshu, currently 42 years old and at the ninth layer of Nascent Soul."
"My name is Fu Huayan, Master's second disciple. I am a cultivator at the fourth layer of Nascent Soul, currently 35 years old. Congratulations on entering the Shuihua Peak that had once held only four disciples. Junior brother, you will be the fifth disciple to enter Shuihua Peak." Fu Huayan's voice was very confident, strong with no sense of weakness.
Fei Qianchi nodded his head with a light smile on his face. "This junior brother greets senior brother and senior sister!"
"Us too!" Zhang Bingmei shouted as she pulled Zhang Zaifan, the man almost tumbled with her pull.
"It's great to meet you junior brother! Now, Fanfan won't be the youngest here." Zhang Bingmei stuck her tongue out at Zhang Zaifan.
Zhang Zaifan rolled his eyes, his bright pupils filled with a dark light. "Just because you were born fifteen seconds earlier... I should've fought you when we were in mother's womb."
"Anyway, I'm Zhang Bingmei."
"I'm Zhang Zaifan."
"We are Master's third and fourth disciples, twins born from Lord Zhang of the WuXian prefecture. My brother and I are are 27 years old, both of us are on the seventh layer of Core Formation!" Zhang Bingmei's voice was very enthusiastic, her liveliness playing out perfectly as she left nothing else for Zhang Zaifan to say.
The four people ahead of Fei Qianchi seemed to have a good relationship, there didn't seem to be an air of awkwardness between them at all. Even Zhang Bingmei and Zhang Zaifan were bright and lively.
Suddenly, Tian Sichan furrowed his brows at their actions. "Hmm, usually, you all are at one another's throat. Not to mention, Mengshu and Huayan would always be bickering, and you two would always be fighting. Be honest, did one of you get into trouble?" His eyes glowered.
Fei Qianchi looked up in confusion, watching as Zhang Zaifan's expression cracked. All of a sudden, everyone glanced away from Tian Sichan's eyes, and Fei Qianchi suddenly felt enlightened. So, this was how the four geniuses of Fushui Sect really acted like... his lips curved into a smile, blue eyes glistening softly.
Zhang Zaifan looked at the other three accomplices before he blurted, "Senior Brother broke the golden pillar!" And then, he immediately took off, running as fast as he could.
Not falling behind, Zhang Bingmei also ran as fast as she could with a look of panic.
"You liar! Obviously, it was all of us. How dare you make me take the brunt of Master's anger?!" Hou Mengshu's eyes flared.
Fu Huayan glanced cautiously at Tian Sichan, looking at his expression. Soon, with just one look, she immediately took off running towards West.
Tian Sichan chuckled, a vein almost seeming to pop on his head.
"Master, it was all Huayan's fault." Hou Mengshu, seeing Tian Sichan's anger, immediately blamed someone else. He put up his hands as he also began inching away from Tian Sichan, looking back as if he was going to take off too. "I admit, I accidentally knocked off a chunk, but Huayan broke it."
Fei Qianchi fought to keep in his laughter. This... it felt really nice. He watched in silence as Hou Mengshu took off running away, fleeing for his life while Tian Sichan was left fuming and screaming in a roaring voice.
From just this, Fei Qianchi could easily tell that all their interactions truly felt like a family. He had made the correct choice, choosing to enter this peak. Although it was small, everyone had a good relationship.
From the corner of his eyes, Fei Qianchi caught the image of Zhang Bingmei hiding behind a pillar. He glanced over with a smile and Zhang Bingmei winked back at him, making a 'shush' as she put her pointer finger onto her lips. Fei Qianchi nodded his head lightly as he hurried to calm Tian Sichan.
Fei Qianchi was glad. He wasn't being left out, even feeling as if he had always belonged here. Everyone treated him well and didn't hide their true interactions, not keeping up air, and just being truthful.
Fei Qianchi watched as Tian Sichan rolled his eyes.
"Promise me you won't turn out to be like them when you grow older."
With his words, Fei Qianchi bursted into a bright laughter. "I promise, Master." His eyes curved, a radiant light within them as his white glistened under the sun. He liked this...

I'm Always Talking to Myself
My name is Zach. I’m a typical bland featureless protagonist type. The kind of guy who has purposefully few defining characteristics so that people can project whatever they want on me. Like Luke from Star Wars or what’s her name from Twilight. Most main characters are like me. Kind of flavorless blank slates because we all secretly doubt that we’re Harrison Ford, but pretty much anyone could be Mitt Romney. Yep. Yes indeed, I do spend basically my entire life running an internal dialog to no one. Usually I’m imagining that there are people listening. Like maybe philosophers from Ancient Greece, or researchers from another planet who act suspiciously like the characters from that Instagram comic with the aliens. Stupid Instagram comedians stealing my internal monologue and turning into a wildly successful enterprise which I would imagine has a vibrant merch dropshipping arm and hundreds of thousands of daily dopamine hits for loyal followers. I basically spend all of my time explaining random things to imaginary people (and aliens, and animals, and household items which have inexplicably gained sentience and frankly have some concerns about this whole existence thing). Honestly, it’s both highly entertaining to me, in that it makes me think about why we humans do all of the bizarre things that we do, but also horrifically exhausting and kind of makes you feel like you’re either, worst cast, losing your grip on reality, or best case, becoming Abed from Community. Anyway, I’m sure that I have some distinguishing characteristics, but, in the interest of hypnotic suggestion I’m choosing to omit them until I’m pretty sure that you have subconsciously come to identify with me, or until I feel like it. (By the way, in case I forgot to mention it, a higher power called Aww Thor or something told me to say that this is a slice-of-life comedy adventure and that it's set in a fantasy world with isekai and LitRPG elements.)

I am not professionally trained as a writer but I have tried my best to teach myself and make the chapters as clean as possible. I believe I have reached a point where my limited skills cannot improve the work or make any more corrections. It is very difficult to show this work, but if I do not, I fear I will never improve and learn. So here it is. To anyone who lends the time to read all of this and any of my chapters. Thank you.

[Archive] Legend of the Nameless Hero
A WhiteSamurai original Web Novel There are always the mysterious tales of heroes, those who fight against the Demons, who fight for justice and those who head mighty quests against tyranny. Heroes that are born to destiny, Heroes that are forged through tragedy, and Heroes that are brought to the world in times of great peril and strife. Not all true Heroes are wanted or beloved, but all life understands, that throughout all time and space, for those who truly stand as Heroes, they never need to be called one. The sands of time are the only true judge for those who journey upon the true path, the only one they will ever need. This is the tale, no, the Legend, the Legend of the one who throughout all time, would forever be, the First Hero. This is Their story, a story of true hardship, of a sorrow greater than any other that would stand as a symbol of inspiration no matter the test of time. A tale of darkness, a true curse, an impending evil hidden beyond the horizons that threatened the very future of existence. This is the tale, of one of the few great figures, who, in the face of true evil, continued to stand. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :Disclaimer: _______________________________________________________________ . . . All Chapters are subject to sudden revision, scrapping, or complete removal from the canonical storyline. The author of "Legend of the Nameless Hero" uses RoyalRoad as a method of experimentation with genre's and writing styles for Fantasy-style works for the sake of eventual publication. The end result isn't to release perfect chapters on RoyalRoadl, but eventually develop the story as intended using the best material to produce the highest quality work. The best mentality when reading works from WhiteSamurai is to see it as the ability to read and review pre-release transcripts or "Rough Copies" before publication. Viewer discretion and maturity are both requested and required. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :About: _______________________________________________________________ . . . This story follows direct character point of views along with an intentional third person narrative to explain to the readers what the characters won't. (I don't use my characters to go give extensive explanations for every last thing like EVERYTHING DOES) This tale shall encompass the life of the Hero from the moment she is summoned into the Kingdom of Kremor, to the Legendary Final Clash. This isn't your run of the mill hack and slash raise an army and conquer, I don't follow that bandwagon. Real life holds politics, intrigue, economics, structure, populations, civil opinions, history, psychology, heart, suffering, wonder, advancement, curiosity, ambition, and so many more things that would lead to me hitting some character limit. I refuse to take the same route that others use by simply ignoring these factors, my worlds, my stories, are as real as they get. There's no plot armor here, if someone screws up, they've screwed up and there's no magical sword in a well for them. I write in 'Seasons' not 'Books' as many often do, these are generally, not always, hundreds of chapters long, though as I have yet to finish a season, the average length is in the air. I go by an ideal of what I call 'Universal Lore' which includes the policy that things that exist within the story don't follow the rule where the Protagonist needs to be there so that it will happen. There will be some things that will happen, and the hero, and sometimes the reader, won't know happened until they enter a place, or news gets to them. A person needs to be in the right place at the right time, I hate plot holes and meta characters above all else... For my works, comments are practically demanded as reactions, thoughts, and various viewpoints are like sweet fuel to my writing spirit. Reviews are highly accepted and appreciated, BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE EDUCATED AND THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED. Those that throw down a low rating ARE HIGHLY REQUESTED to extensively detail and explain their viewpoints on the work. They should also be willing to come back to the work at a later date if messaged by the Author, Me, due to issues they mentioned being taken care of. I'm never against scrapping a chapter or rewriting several paragraphs if there are character or story discrepancies. I want the highest quality work possible, and every comment, every review, are tools for me to use to further that goal. . . . Enjoy the work. ~White Status: (Ongoing)
