《Steal The Male Lead》158

As Fei Qianchi and Fei Shang traveled closer, the voices were evident. The sound of sword slashes were heard as Fei Qianchi threw a talisman into the air, a barrier appearing around them.
"Hongniu Hornets..." As Fei Shang listened, he heard buzzing noises from the distance, not too far from them.
It didn't take long for people to appear, running as a massive herd of black shadows flew around them.
Seeing Fei Qianchi, the people in front of them hurriedly ran towards them.
Fei Qianchi looked at Fei Shang who nodded.
Fei Shang walked towards the other cultivators, forming a protective barrier around them to protect them.
Fei Qianchi held Baihe in his hand, walking towards the herd of Hongniu Hornets.
The hornets were massive in size, almost as big as birds. There were red stripes on their bodies, their mouths crooked with sharp teeth and a long sting on them. Most of all, they traveled in herds so they were a bit tricky to deal with.
Fei Qianchi knew that killing them all was going to be rather difficult. Hongniu hornets traveled in hundreds to thousands. But still, there was no panic on his face as Fei Qianchi held Baihe and then slashed. With one slash, dozens of Hongniu hornets fell to the ground, their bodies cut in half.
Fei Qianchi was used to these spiritual beasts now, there were plenty of them in this forest. Although they could be a bit tricky to deal with, Fei Qianchi knew that these hornets were also frightened easily, hence, seeing their companions drop dead, they would back off.
As Fei Qianchi continued to slash Baihe at the hornets and more of them died, it didn't take long for the hornets to begin flying away, leaving Fei Qianchi behind. Fei Qianchi smiled, flicking off the blood on Baihe as he turned back.
Staring at Fei Shang, Fei Qianchi replied, "It seems like this matter is now dealt with." Then, his eyes turned to the people by Fei Shang.
While their robes were a bit torn, their complexions seemed better than expected.
A man stepped forward. He didn't seem too young, but it was also relatively hard to tell how old he was. He was dressed in a green robe, a saber on his back. The man looked at Fei Qianchi, nodding his head as he cupped his fist, saying, "Thank you for saving us, Senior. This one's name is Shu Dianwei, I am a disciple of Wuhui Sect."
A girl stepped up, her long hair tied with a pin. "This one's name is Shu Ruliao, I am a disciple of Wuhui sect."
Looking at them by side, it wasn't hard to tell that they were brothers and sisters.
Fei Qianchi smiled, "Is this your first time in this forest?"
Shu Dianwei nodded, "It is. We didn't expect to suddenly stumble upon the Hongniu hornets so we were unable to prepare in time."
Shu Ruliao stepped closer to Shu Dianwei, hiding behind him.
Fei Qianchi noticed but paid no attention to it, merely glancing at Fei Shang who shrugged.
"My name is Fei Qianchi, a disciple of Fushui Sect." Fei Qianchi still held Baihe, cupping his fists around the sword as he also gave his name.
Shu Ruliao's eyes widened at this. She glanced up at Shu Dianwei.
"So it is you... I have heard of your name for long now." Shu Dianwei echoed out.
"I am Qianchi's younger brother, Fei Shang," Fei Shang cupped his fist, giving out his name in an even tone.

Fei Qianchi could notice the question marks appearing in Shu Dianwei's eyes and he understood what the man was thinking. "We aren't related by blood."
Hearing this, Shu Dianwei seemed to understand.
"If you want, you may rest at our place for a short bit. I'm sure that you have been poisoned by the Hongniu hornets, it's best to get some rest and clear the poison out." Fei Qianchi offered. Quite frankly, Fei Qianchi trusted in his abilities and Fei Shang too. Although Fei Shang may have a lower cultivation than these two in front of him, Fei Shang was truly gifted in using the sword.
Shu Dianwei glanced at Shu Ruliao who softly nodded her head. Seeing this, he turned back and replied, "Then we will have to trouble Senior."
Fei Qianchi merely replied, "Not at all, this forest is hard to navigate. Not to mention, you two are also a bit tired so it is best to rest for a bit before you set out. Here, use these." Knowing that the two in front of him were exhausted, Fei Qianchi handed them two talismans.
Fei Shang also took one out of his storage ring.
A ripping sound was heard as their bodies disappeared.
Appearing again, there was a small house on top of a hill. The forest around them had retreated, opening up to a blue sky.
Fei Qianchi walked forward and opened the door, allowing the inside of the small house to be seen. The house was remodeled many times, adding and removing things from within it.
Fei Qianchi opened the door for Shu Dianwei and Shu Ruliao to enter. As the two of them entered, Fei Qianchi felt Fei Shang tap his shoulder.
"Hmm?" Fei Qianchi turned to Fei Shang, looking down at him.
Fei Shang closed the door before he crossed his arms, looking inside the house. "Are you sure they can be trusted?" His voice was a bit lower.
Fei Qianchi looked at him, lifting a brow. "Do they look dangerous?"
"No, but I felt something odd a while ago." Fei Shang replied back.
Hearing this, Fei Qianchi was a bit of wary. Fei Shang was sensitive. He could feel even the slightest bit of Qi, able to sense the presence of others easily. Fei Qianchi had always trusted Fei Shang with these things.
"Are you sure?" Fei Qianchi asked.
Fei Shang bit his lips, eyes a bit darker as he then responded, "Yes, it was very light. I felt it for a short bit but then it disappeared quickly."
Fei Qianchi was a bit worried, but he didn't linger on it for too long. "For now, let's leave that as it is. After we take care of Shu Dianwei and his sister, then we can worry about that."
Fei Shang nodded, retracting the dark look in his eyes.
Fei Qianchi opened the door, seeing that Shu Dianwei had already took out bottles of pills for them. "You two can stay here for a while. Fei Shang and I will wander for a bit so make yourself comfortable." Fei Qianchi explained as Shu Dianwei turned back.
"Yes, thank you." Shu Dianwei said as he focused on Fei Qianchi.
Fei Qianchi smiled, closing the door, and then walked over to Fei Shang's side. "Let's look around for a bit." His face turned a bit cold but there was still a calm look in his eyes.
Fei Shang nodded. Then, their bodies disappeared.
As they appeared once more, Fei Qianchi turned, surveying the land with a spell whispered underneath his breath.

"Brother, let's split up. I will come find you after I look around a bit more." Fei Shang offered, eyes turning to Fei Qianchi.
Fei Qianchi thought about it for a second before he nodded his head.
"Alright, be careful." With that, they parted.
As Fei Qianchi walked further into the forest, the surrounding got darker and darker.
"After all these years, you have progressed by quite a bit."
Fei Qianchi stopped, hearing the familiar voice within his head. There was visible panic in his eyes as he heard this voice, spoken with a roughness behind it.
"What brought you back?" Fei Qianchi asked. After entering Soul Combination, the voice was suppressed for a while. Fei Qianchi thought he had escaped from it. Now, realizing that this voice still existed, there was a fruit of fear in his heart.
"I admit, you did suppressed me for a while. I was shocked. Even if you want to, you can never get rid of me."
The voice was echoed with a long laugh.
Fei Qianchi picked up his pace, even as his heart tightened with this voice.
"Fei Qianchi, when will you admit it? You were born to be a demonic cultivator. Your aptitude as a righteous cultivator can not compare to your aptitude as a demonic cultivator. I may have helped you, but you know well what the truth behind my actions are."
Fei Qianchi felt a burst of coldness within him, a dark energy trying to enter his body. Fei Qianchi brought up his guard, blocking this evasion of energy.
"I thought I made it clear to you, did I not?" Fei Qianchi's voice was deeper, spoken with coldness and danger.
"Hahaha, Fei Qianchi, I remember that back then, you had borrowed this demonic energy. Taking revenge, you killed everyone in that mansion. No one knows, but if they do, those eyes filled with praises will look at you with fear and disgust."
Fei Qianchi clenched his fist, a scowl appearing on his lips. He stopped, controlling the Qi within him that was starting to become unstable. "I know what you're trying to do. Stop while you can."
"I see that you're still the same. Walk further up ahead, there is a rare flower. I believe that Junior Sister Qi wanted it."
At this voice, Fei Qianchi continued to walk straight ahead. While this voice could be tricky to deal with at times, Fei Qianchi also knew that he could trust him.
"You never told me what to call you. Last time I asked, you disappeared." Fei Qianchi had calmed himself now, walking further into the darkening forest.
"Is that concern I hear? I remember that when I first woke, you were just a small baby. I still remember the prophecy you were given."
"Prophecy?" Fei Qianchi asked as the forest began to clear.
"Yes, something about how only someone who matches that of a dragon can save you. Of course, I sealed myself soon after because you were too young. Because of your mother, I was able to help you. I have to be thankful for that."
Recalling that day, Fei Qianchi hid a grimace, still remembering that scene till this day.
"There, the Snowlight Flower. It blooms once every century and disappears soon afterwards."
Fei Qianchi stared at the white flower, glowing brightly with a silver tint to it. The flower had many petals, shining brightly in the dark night. As it bloomed, there was a strong wave of Qi that spread from the flower.
"Thank you." Fei Qianchi said as he knelt down next to the flower, forming a barrier around it as the flower stayed within the barrier, some dirt being picked up with it. Having safely secured the flower, Fei Qianchi put it into his storage ring.
"Also, I am entering seclusion. Since you will also be entering seclusion soon, make sure to keep yourself safe. After all, I wouldn't want to get out of seclusion and find that you died."
Fei Qianchi shook his head, face still calm. "I know."
"I'll be leaving now. Also, that man, Su Fuwen, beware of him."
Fei Qianchi could tell that the voice was gone. Fei Qianchi spread his Qi, trying to locate Fei Shang. Upon finding him, Fei Qianchi chanted the teleportation spell, his body disappearing.
Upon reappearing again, Fei Qianchi saw that Fei Shang was looking at a tree.
"Fei Shang?"
Fei Shang turned to Fei Qianchi. "Brother."
Fei Qianchi noticed that he seemed a bit odd. "Is everything alright?"
Fei Shang paused for a second but he then replied, "Yes, I felt the presence just now but it was gone as soon as you came."
Fei Qianchi recalled the warning given by the voice earlier. Su Fuwen, there was something odd about him, else Fei Qianchi wouldn't have been warned. Whenever the voice gave out warnings, it was never a good thing.
"Let's go back, we will have to explain to Shu Dianwei and Shu Ruliao. Also, I need to take you back to Fushui Sect. I will have to enter seclusion soon." Fei Qianchi explained.
Fei Shang nodded with a sigh, "Alright."
Fei Qianchi walked, his mood calm and at peace now. Suddenly, he turned back upon hearing Fei Shang's voice.
"How long will it take for you to come out of seclusion?" Fei Shang bit his lips.
Upon hearing this, there was a warm feeling in his heart. Fei Qianchi smiled, his blue eyes holding joy within them. As he looked down at Fei Shang's hesitant face, he then replied, "A few decades. Maybe more. I intend to to make it as short as possible."
Fei Qianchi wanted to make it even faster but he also knew that he could ruin his foundation by rushing himself. After all, he still needed to face his heart demons. There was also the risk of Qi deviation. Fei Qianchi knew that the further he progressed, the longer his seclusions would become. By the time he came out, it was likely that Fei Shang would already be at the last layers of Nascent Soul, maybe even stepping foot into Soul Transformation.
Fei Qianchi truly loved Fei Shang, he had basically raised the boy himself. But, he also had his own purpose for everything he had done so far. Throughout everything, he was merely seeking that man, dressed in white, the man who had saved him, leaving behind only a pendant.
"I understand." Fei Shang mumbled after a moment.
As Fei Qianchi stared at the boy who had grown, there was a warm feeling in his heart. Fei Shang was now an adult, and although Fei Shang was still shorter than him, there were not many who were taller than Fei Qianchi.
Fei Qianchi looked at the bright moon that peeked through the forest. He... he merely hoped that everything would stay this way.
-
"Senior Brother!" Walking towards them, Qi Meiyao showed a rare smile on her face that blossomed. As she looked over towards the man by Fei Qianchi, her smile got deeper. "Fei Shang."
Fei Qianchi stood before a familiar gate. Only ten years had passed, he had returned sooner than what he planned to. Although, it was alright as he did plan to enter seclusion.
"Sister Qi." Fei Shang showed a rare smile as he called out to Qi Meiyao.
Fei Qianchi nodded, "Junior Sister." His long hair was held up by a jade hairpin, his face having matured even more during this time. He was tall, perhaps 188 centimeters.
"I have gotten the letter you sent. I know that you will be ascending to Qianwang Mountain for seclusion so I have informed Master and our Senior Brothers and Sisters. Don't worry, I promise to take good care of Fei Shang." Qi Meiyao explained, a light smile on her face.
"Thank you, Junior Sister." Fei Qianchi replied after her words. Qi Meiyao had done a lot of things for him, so he knew that he could rely on her.
Qi Meiyao refuted, "It was nothing. After all, I respect Senior Brother the most. Here, I refined some pills for you." She took out a jade bottle and handed it to Fei Qianchi.
"What is this?" Fei Shang asked curiously.
Qi Meiyao winked as she replied, "I refined some pills for Void Stage. It will help you break out of Soul Combination and into Void Stage."
Holding the bottle tightly, Fei Qianchi chuckled, his voice deep and hoarse. "Thank you, Junior Sister." He put the bottle into his storage ring. "Then, I will hand Fei Shang to you during this time."
"Don't worry, I will take good care of him. Fei Shang has good roots for refining pills so I'll teach him a thing or two." Qi Meiyao glanced at Fei Shang who merely smiled cheekily in turn.
"Don't worry, brother, I'll be obedient." Fei Shang promised.
Hearing this Fei Qianchi shook his head, cocking his brows. "While I do believe you, you also make me worry nonetheless." Suddenly, he grew quiet. Finally, letting out a sigh, he said, "I will take my leave now. Please send the news to Master that I have left for seclusion."
"Of course, Senior Brother." Qi Meiyao replied, nodding her head.
"Brother, be safe." Fei Shang whispered.
Fei Qianchi smiled, "Of course, I will." Then, under their watchful eyes, Fei Qianchi chanted a spell underneath his breath, feeling his body disappear.
As he opened his eyes once more, Fei Qianchi had already arrived at Qianwang Mountain. Qianwang Mountain was a regular place for Fei Qianchi. He had discovered that this mountain held a dense amount of spiritual Qi so he tried to come here often. There was a cave located at the top of Qianwang Mountain and that was where Fei Qianchi spent his days in seclusion.
Entering the dark cave, there was a secret compartment in it. Fei Qianchi had discovered it by chance. Pushing a boulder by the side, a ray of light appeared, shining the way through as a creaking sound was heard, rocks shifting. Fei Qianchi entered.
Fei Qianchi had prepared many things in the cave, everything was ready for him. There was a jade bed, built for the purpose of meditation.
Fei Qianchi patted his robe, taking a seat upon the bed. As he closed his eyes, the surrounding Qi came closer to his body.
Fei Qianchi was in deep concentration, and time rushed to past him during this seclusion.

Heart of the World (LitRPG)
This is the story of how I stabbed a bear. Well... technically speaking, that became the moment my life went into a vastly different direction, all on my way to 'The Mission'. The one I had been given alongside two other seasoned players. To help people in a world with a world. But, oh hoh, that bear... Don't get me started on that. So, apart from that, here is the gist of the other part. I'm a year long employee. Though, several years before I became an employee of theirs, this crazy ensuing madness of a Full Dive battle royale between even more companies started to boil over to a breaking point. Mine thought to search for something that would truly blow the competition out of the water. Well, they found it. Deep under the sea actually. They called it a game changer. Rumors abounded of course. But the most common knowledge became that it was a power source unlike the world had ever seen. However, I can tell you now, the unknown sometimes bump back. Especially when experimenting on highly unknown elements. Still, years safely went by and thus I became a developer there. Now, what does any of this got to do with stabbing a bear? Well, ask them that! They started it all. I'm new remember! Though, chaos ensued, and well, I was there. It probably helped that I had proven myself a good fighter in game and that I had some knowledge that could help with the triplets. Oh, but my sister would box my ears if she ever realized how little time I spent learning what the other developers created in the game before I had to go in there on, 'The Mission.' So, this is a story of a mission to save the people in Realm of Ancients. Not those rookies! Oh no, that was just a precurser. AND THERE WAS THE BEAR! Sorry, I had trouble getting over it. But that specific moment changed things. -- -- Hi! This is a project I have started for the fun. This is not your typical comedy. Yes, I added quite a bit humour to the story, BUT as things go into the eye of the storm the character will face challenges that hits him down. So it is not comedy in every chapter. But what do they say, when you've hit bottom, only way to go is up! :D I am always open to suggestions that might take the story to new heights, so you all are welcome to discuss the story in the comments. Just remember the all important SPOILER tags. ;) -Omri - I'd truly appreciate if you rate the story and leave reviews as we go. ;)
