《Steal The Male Lead》163

Fei Qianchi's eyes flickered open. As he tried to keep himself awake, he finally realized that he was inside of a house. Eyes wide open, Fei Qianchi pushed himself off of the bed, grunting as he did so.
"You shouldn't get up so soon."
Fei Qianchi snapped his head towards this voice.
Walking in was a gallant man. His skin was quite pale, long black hair tied up by a ribbon. He was dressed in a pure white robe, his figure tall and lean with long limbs. His lips were thin, with narrow eyes that appeared sharp. His eyebrows were arched, making his red eyes appear even more visible and highlighted. There was a smile on his lips as he walked in, as if he had no worries.
"You?" Fei Qianchi furrowed his brows. Then, his hands shook. Was this him? Was this his savior?
As Fei Qianchi thought back to the words that the man had said just moments before he lost consciousness, he felt an emotion burst within him.
The man smiled, walking over, sitting next to Fei Qianchi. "I am. I see that you still have my pendant."
Fei Qianchi didn't know how to feel. Obviously, he was always searching for this man. Yet, upon finding him, something felt different. "You are really my savior?" He asked once more.
"If not me, then who else?" The man replied softly.
Fei Qianchi was silent for a while. Cautiously, he asked, "What is your name?"
The man smiled, his red eyes glinting softly. "My name is Baicheng, a cultivator with no sect. It is my greatest honor to have met someone from the esteemed Fushui Sect." Baicheng's hands were busy as he grounded a few herbs together using a pestle.
"Baicheng." Fei Qianchi repeated. "I am Fei Qianchi, the boy that you saved from before, a cultivator of Fushui Sect."
"I know. It would be hard not to recognize you." Baicheng's eyes lighted up as he said this.
Fei Qianchi looked at the man, not knowing why he had a weird feeling in his heart.
"Back then, I had to do the same thing. You certainly scared me if I am to be honest. Your battered body was shocking to see." Baicheng calmly stated as he looked up.
It was then that Fei Qianchi recalled, "My injuries this time, how long will it take for me to heal?" He shifted as he sat up, his back leaning against the wooden frame.
"Not too long. Since you are also an immortal, your body will heal faster. I just have to make sure your wounds don't get infected." Baicheng's voice was very smooth as he continued to ground the herbs into a paste.
Fei Qianchi couldn't help but stare at Baicheng's red eyes. Red eyes were rare. As far as Fei Qianchi knew, only Su Fuwen possessed red eyes.
Fei Qianchi knew that Baicheng caught his stare. The man merely smiled as he explained, "My eyes were originally blue. Unfortunately, I suffered through a tribulation that seriously injured me. My eyes suffered from that and turned to this color."
Hearing this, Fei Qianchi relaxed. He was just thinking too much. And then, he recalled Zhu Longwang. What happened to him? He was a bit worried. Even though he knew that Zhu Longwang was much stronger than him, he still couldn't help but be worried.
"I need to apply this paste onto your wound first. That man really injured your back so I had to fix it up a bit." Baicheng interrupted Fei Qianchi's thoughts.

Fei Qianchi jerked up. "No, that's alright." Then, without caring, Fei Qianchi took off his clothes, slipping off his robe. As the robe slid off his body, it revealed his even and toned muscles. He turned around, his back to Baicheng as he realized that he could now feel the bandages wrapped around him.
"I'm going to take the bandages off for a moment. It may hurt but I'll be as quick as possible." Baicheng's hands ran over Fei Qianchi's back, undoing the bandage. "So, what happened to you this time?"
Hearing this, Fei Qianchi didn't know why but he cracked a smile. Baicheng obviously knew but he wasn't snooping. Actually, he didn't understand why he didn't have his guard up against Baicheng. Maybe it was because this man was the one who saved him...
"Actually, I was on a mission. I miscalculated though, hence my dire situation before you saved me." Fei Qianchi explained. He didn't go into further details.
Baicheng hummed in response, finally reaching the last layer of the bandage. "This will hurt." As he said this, he began peeling the bandage off of Fei Qianchi's flesh.
Fei Qianchi flinched, the bandage tearing off pieces of skin that got stuck to it. It wasn't long before a cool sensation touched his skin, the burning sensation from before disappeared.
There was no more conversations as Baicheng diligently smeared the medicine over his wounds.
"You... why did you save me when I was younger?" Fei Qianchi couldn't stay quiet for long. There were a lot of questions he wanted to ask, questions that he had hid within himself for a long time. All this time, he had been searching for the man who saved him, yet the man had so easily appeared before his eyes.
"It was on a whim. I accidentally chanced upon you so I saved you. I didn't want to just leave you there. I... I apologize for leaving you in the shack all alone. Truthfully, circumstances forced me to leave you first. If anything, I wouldn't have wanted you to wake up alone, but I also had to leave. I left you the pendant though, with my character engraved on it." Baicheng's voice was heavy, speaking with a sigh.
"You did. Even though you left, you still left me the pendant. I searched for you. I wanted to repay you for everything that you did for me. Unfortunately, I couldn't find you for centuries. If it wasn't for this incident, I wouldn't have met you." Fei Qianchi smiled as he said this, closing his eyes against Baicheng's gentle touch. It was comforting. Even though something nagged at him, he felt at peace.
Fei Qianchi could hear Baicheng softly laughing.
"I guess you can say that fate forced us to meet once more."
Even though Fei Qianchi couldn't see Baicheng's face, he could somehow see a smile on his thin lips. He could vision it perfectly, even seeing his brilliant red eyes. He closed his eyes, a sudden pulsing from his head.
After Baicheng finished applying the paste, he wrapped Fei Qianchi's wound once more. "Your robe was torn so I just gave you a new robe to wear. I have to say, this red robe highlights your features." The man lightly said.
Fei Qianchi fixed the red robe, securing it in place. As he stretched himself, he took out an elixir, downing the content. Qi Meiyao had made it for him, it was an elixir meant for healing the body so Fei Qianchi didn't worry.
"Are you a wandering cultivator then?" Fei Qianchi asked as Baicheng retreated, taking out a thread and needle, sewing a white robe.

"Yes. I... lost my parents when I was younger. I became an orphan and avoided the eyes of those who wanted my lives. Ever since then, I traveled away from the eyes of others and lived a quiet life." Baicheng smiled softly. Even as his red eyes continued to look down, long fingers diligently embroidering the robe, there was a solemn air from him.
Fei Qianchi's hands tightened around the blanket placed over his legs. Something felt odd... but he wasn't able to think for long when he heard fast steps coming towards the small house. Fei Qianchi's blue eyes flickered to the door.
"Baicheng, you said that you wanted me to-" The man cut himself off as he saw Fei Qianchi laying on the bed. The man who said this was dressed in black robes. His light blue eyes were bright, his figure tall and thin. His facial structure was handsome, fair yet also cold. His lips were plump and red, peach blossom eyes with a mole by the corner of his right eye. His hair was tied back by a white ribbon, his black and brown hair was long and straight.
Baicheng looked up, smiling at the man. "You came back soon."
Fei Qianchi looked at the man who became quiet. He watched carefully as Baicheng set the things in his hands onto the table, standing up, his white robes quietly shuffling.
"I will talk with him for a bit." Baicheng said to Fei Qianchi before he and the other man walked out.
The man sent Fei Qianchi a look before he retreated, following after Baicheng.
Left behind, Fei Qianchi furrowed his brows. There was something wrong... a feeling gnawed at him. Another pulse attacked his head.
"Qianchi, I'm back."
There was a cold voice in his ears.
Fei Qianchi closed his eyes in anger.
"You came back too soon. What should I call you? Lord of Wandering Spirits, Venerable Chen, Chen Daming." There was an icy tone laced with Fei Qianchi's voice, eyes having darkened.
There was a laugh. Chen Daming merely laughed. "Well, Weiming is too impulsive. Yes, you are right. All of those are my titles. But as of now, I am only a being sealed in your body. Until I achieve my goal, your body is a good vessel to stay in."
Fei Qianchi felt a heavy stone set itself in his heart. "What is your goal?"
"You, you are my goal. You are the man I seek, a man who will be able to overpower the Lord of all Demonic Cultivators. It is why I simply bid my time in your body. With my cultivation, I can simply seize your body and control you like a puppet, yet I still wait for you to change your mind." Chen Daming's voice was smooth, caring of nothing.
Fei Qianchi sneered, "As if... why would you need someone like me to defeat a man who has lived for tens of thousands of years?"
A tsk was heard next to Fei Qianchi's ears. He remained unmoved.
"Do you want to know a secret? No, I'll tell you something hidden deep within your heart." Chen Daming's voice suddenly grew darker.
"I know your true feelings. I know that in your heart, you love a man. I know that you think of him as much more than a friend, yet your heart refuses to accept this thought. I know that you think of him, that he is everything in your eyes. Qianchi, I know that a forbidden fruit of love has appeared in your heart." Chen Daming laughed as he whispered this.
Fei Qianchi's eyes flickered open, a dark storm raging within. "Nonsense! He is my friend, that is all!" There was a roaring anger in his heart, something much more...
"I can see it, I can see yourself refusing to accept the truth. You know the truth, don't you?"
Fei Qianchi refused to accept the man's words. It was impossible. The only relation that tied them together was friendship, that was it. It would never cross that. His chest heaved up and down, his mind growing clouded. It was impossible... it had to be. Chen Daming was merely trying to fool him.
"If you've had your fun, then you should retreat." Fei Qianchi's voice was cold. There was a dark light in his eyes, a wisp of energy escaping.
"Qianchi, are you going to continue lying to yourself? I say, come with me. I can give you power, I can give you unimaginable strength. These righteous cultivators are hypocrites. They kill in the name of good, yet so easily turn their backs on one another for their own goals. You haven't ventured far enough to see what I have."
Fei Qianchi let the words play in his head. As his heart began to sway, the image of a beautiful smile appeared in his head. It was a light smile, so faint, yet the man's eyes glowed with light.
"Go back. You know that no matter what you do, I won't follow you. You can find someone else." Fei Qianchi kept his heart at peace, his voice now calm as his eyes grew peaceful, without the dark light from before. He let out a deep breath.
Chen Daming didn't reply for a second.
"You are truly stubborn. But your feelings will make itself apparent. Even from before, you obviously treated him differently. You know that your actions towards him hold more meanings than what you think they do. Fei Qianchi, will you continue to lie to yourself."
Fei Qianchi closed his eyes, a stabbing pain in his chest. Truthfully, there was just the slightest bit of him that rebelled against his train of thoughts. But, he shut it down with no mercy. He opened his eyes, a cold look within them.
"He is simply my friend, a good friend of mine. That is all that we will have, nothing more." Fei Qianchi put a cruel end to his emotions at once.
There was no reply from Chen Daming. Finally, there was a sigh in his ear.
"Alright, if that is what you say. You righteous cultivators will never listen to your heart."
After that, there was nothing else.
Fei Qianchi sat in silence, a heavy emotion in his eyes. No... he didn't love Zhu Longwang, he... didn't. It was merely friendship that tied them together, that was all. Fei Qianchi had once thought that maybe Zhu Longwang was the man who saved him, that was why the two got closer. But now that Fei Qianchi found his savior, he now understood that his emotions were placed onto the wrong person. It was Baicheng, not Zhu Longwang.
Fei Qianchi rubbed his tired eyes, a blue light flickering within them. The door opened. Fei Qianchi turned his head as Baicheng walked in with a s light smile.
"Sorry, it took a while longer than expected." Baicheng's mood was still the same.
Right, it was Baicheng... not Zhu Longwang.
"Did he leave?" Fei Qianchi asked. His voice was a bit rawer. But his eyes returned to normal, agentle light within them.
Baicheng walked over, nodding as he smiled, "Yes. He came without notice so I was not expecting him to come back so soon." Baicheng took a seat on the chair situated near Fei Qianchi. He grabbed the robe from before, picking up the needle and resuming his sewing.
Fei Qianchi looked at Baicheng. There was something to the man... he couldn't put his hands on it.
"Is he close to you?" Fei Qianchi asked. He carefully looked at Baicheng. The man's expression froze for a bit, as if pondering his answer. Fei Qianchi was patient as he waited for an answer. He knew that the man was a bit hesitant to answer, it was shown in the way his fingers stopped for a short second.
"Yes... he saved me. He is one of the few people by my side that I can trust." Saying this, there was a smile on his face as he looked at Fei Qianchi. Baicheng's eyes were clear, red eyes holding a tint of memories in them.
Fei Qianchi felt his lips curve as he heard this. The emotions in his eyes were real, Fei Qianchi could tell.
"That's good, at least someone was there to support you." Fei Qianchi whispered. He laid down on his stomach, avoiding the injuries on his back. He could still see Baicheng's face.
Baicheng's eyes were looking down at the robe in his hands. "Yes... I've been betrayed by many, even those that I loved and trusted." There was a lot of emotions in his last words.
Fei Qianchi closed his eyes. There was no sound, only the soft breathing in the room along with the occasional sound of rustling cloth. Finally, he began feeling drowsy. Soon, Fei Qianchi closed his eyes as he fell asleep.
When Fei Qianchi woke up, the sun was already up. He stood up, stretching his body. Moving his limbs, he discovered that the pain was now faint. Looking at the table, there was a new set of clothes for him. He smiled as he grabbed it and began dressing up.
Fixing his clothes, Fei Qianchi's fingers rubbed over the dragon pendant, a faint smile on his lips. He tied it carefully. Fei Qianchi could hear the sound of a sword slashing in the air, disrupting the wind. He didn't need to think before he carefully opened the door and exited.
The air surrounding the house was clear. The sun was bright in the blue sky, shining down. As Fei Qianchi looked around, he found that this house was located by the outside of a forest. The thick grass laid under his feet, a fresh smell in the air.
He walked a bit. There was a few trees ahead of Fei Qianchi, he could see a figure moving with a sword in his hand, his body swift and precise.
Fei Qianchi stood, not saying a word as Baicheng moved quickly, his sword like a mirage.
Finally, Baicheng stopped. The smile on his lips were a bit stiffer but Fei Qianchi didn't mind. He could deduce that the man was a bit tired.
"This is a nice house." Fei Qianchi brought up, watching as the surrounding trees around them rustled with a wind.
"Yes, it is quiet and peaceful here."
Fei Qianchi noticed that Baicheng's voice seemed to be different from yesterday, but once again, he paid no attention to that.
"Will you accompany me for a while longer?" Fei Qianchi asked. Baicheng walked over to him, sliding his sword back into its scabbard.
Baicheng was dressed in a white robe, his long hair was held up by a crown. "Your injuries are still healing. Once you are fully healed, I will guide you out of this place."
Fei Qianchi nodded. His white hair was a bit messy even after fixing it up, but his blue eyes looked at the man who stood, looking at the sky.
There was the trace of a deep emotion in the man's eyes, even though it was merely a side profile.
Fei Qianchi looked at the man in silence.
Finally, Baicheng smiled lightly, "I have somewhere to take you. If you don't mind, will you follow me?"
Fei Qianchi merely replied, "I don't mind."
Baicheng stretched out his hand towards Fei Qianchi.
Fei Qianchi looked at the man's hand before him. Slowly, he grabbed Baicheng's hand and felt a hot energy surround him.
