"Qianchi, open up the door!" Outside of the door, a man stood. His brown eyes were filled with worry, his face holding a tint of concern on it.
Fei Qianchi heard the man. He looked up. The dark light in his blue eyes faded, the smirk upon his face restored to a faint smile. There were no traces that something was wrong with him. It was perfectly hidden.
Fei Qianchi stood up, walking towards the door as he opened it. "Fei Shang."
"Brother, are you alright?" Fei Shang was the same. Although he was older now, his face remained the same. The man was dressed in blue, his brows gently curved.
Fei Qianchi opened his mouth before he closed it. Finally, mustering a smile once more, he replied, "Yes. I... realized that it was my mistake too." He walked out as he said this.
Fei Shang looked on in concern as Fei Qianchi stepped out.
"Let's go. I should get some fresh air. No matter what, everything has already been done." Fei Qianchi's voice was light, a dark shadow ran past his eyes, unknown to Fei Shang. Dressed in a black robe, his skin appeared even more pale, his white hair flowing down his back.
Fei Shang furrowed his brows but he also followed. "Brother, it... it isn't your fault. I know that the wound will still hurt, but I hope that you know everyone else is here for you."
Hearing these words, Fei Qianchi walked forward, his back view was all that Fei Shang could see. A smirk came upon his lips, his eyes glowing. "Of course. You will always be here for me. After all, I have you all too." His voice was still light and gentle, as if nothing was wrong. His smirk was transformed into a sad smile as he heard Fei Shang speeding up to his side.
Fei Shang glanced at Fei Qianchi. The man still appeared sad by everything but it seemed like his condition was now stable.
"Longwang didn't mean anything. He has always been close to you, I'm sure that he didn't want you to be in pain. He was also startled by everything. He told me that you wanted space so we left you alone for a month." Fei Shang explained as they walked past the flourishing flowers.
"No, that was my fault. I didn't know then, but now, I am clear about everything, Fei Shang." There was more to his words. Fei Qianchi continued to walk lightly.
"That's perfect... continue on just like that. That way, no one will suspect anything. It is soon. Soon, I will give you your revenge."
Hearing these words, Fei Qianchi felt a delightful feelings spread in him. He kept his eyes calm as he walked, his robe gently swaying with his steps.
"Where are you going, Brother?" Fei Shang brought up as the man continued to walk.
Fei Qianchi turned back, his steps not slowing. "Where? To Taohua Peak." He turned back, facing the exit of Mengxiang Peak. "After all, I still need to apologize to him." He clenched his fists. "I also need to give him a gift."
Hearing this, Fei Shang didn't question anything. He nodded his head, watching the man dressed in black. For some reason, the robe he wore today gave off a different vibe.
"Brother, I still need to help Meiyao prepare her wedding. You haven't been out often but Meiyao is marrying Shu Dianwei on the seventh." Fei Shang began to talk about everything that Fei Qianchi had missed.

Fei Qianchi paid no attention to his words, but with a smile on his face, he continued to respond as if nothing was wrong. Finally, as they arrived before the gates of Taohua Peak, Fei Shang excused himself.
"Brother, then I will leave first." Fei Shang finally said. He sighed with a smile. "It's a good thing that you are alright now, Brother."
Fei Qianchi smiled, his eyes glimmering, "Yes, I was muddled then. I've finally cleared my head now."
"I will be leaving now." Fei Shang said once more as he took one final glance towards Fei Qianchi. Finally, the man disappeared.
As Fei Shang left, the smile on Fei Qianchi's lips turned into a sneer. The man turned, walking into Taohua Peak. His eyes were filled with a dark light, a villainous aura surrounded his body. The man stepped into Taohua Peak. As the blossoms fell around him, he stepped on the petals without a care.
Fei Qianchi ran a hand through his hair. The black mark under his right eye pulsed.
"Don't worry. I know." Fei Qianchi answered. His voice was cold and chilling.
"Good. Remember, it won't be long. I am almost done preparing." Ran Mengyu's voice was smooth. The man was obviously smirking from the other side.
"Of course. Didn't we carefully plan everything?" Fei Qianchi smirked, his eyes narrowing with delight. There was a dark roaring energy in his heart, a powerful Qi coursing in his body.
There was a meow from ahead. A white cat walked forward and glanced at Fei Qianchi.
Fei Qianchi glanced at the cat with no emotions in his eyes.
Xiao Bai flinched, the white cat taking a step backwards as he saw Fei Qianchi. Not even a second later, the cat fled, taking off without another sound.
Fei Qianchi watched the cat, raising his brows. But he walked forward, not caring about that.
It didn't take long for him to feel Zhu Longwang's presence near. He stopped, composing himself and fixing his emotions. In less than a second, the dark light in his eyes faded. He didn't smile, but his aura was ten times lighter now. There was a sad and gentle look upon his face.
"Qianchi?" Zhu Longwang's voice was filled with surprise. The man rushed out of his chamber. His purple eyes help shock within them. Dressed in a white robe, he contrasted greatly against Fei Qianchi's black robe. His cold face was a bit warmer now, appearing as beautiful as before.
Fei Qianchi looked at the man, slowly mustering a small smile. "Longwang." He didn't say anything else as he looked down at his feet.
"You're... are you better now?" Zhu Longwang spoke slowly, as if he was still scared from before.
Fei Qianchi looked back, a bit of vigor appearing in his eyes. "Yes. I thought everything through. Can I come in?" He stood tall and straight, looking much better than his previous states before.
Zhu Longwang finally smiled. A bright light shone in his eyes as he said, "Yes, please come in." There was relief deep in his eyes.
Fei Qianchi gently nodded his head as he walked in. The room was the same. Except now, he was different. He suppressed the dark delightful feeling within him as he took a seat.
"Everything is still the same." Fei Qianchi lightly brought up, glancing out the window. The peach blossoms gently fell, covering the ground.
From behind, Zhu Longwang walked forward and took a seat opposite of Fei Qianchi. "It hasn't been long. This place will always remain the same for you." His purple eyes thawed. The man carefully took out two jade cups, along with a bottle of wine.

"Wine?" Fei Qianchi asked. His eyes widened a bit with surprise. "You usually don't like to drink wine." He brought up the past, rolling his eyes. "Whenever I drunk wine with you, you always opted for tea."
Zhu Longwang merely replied, "Today is a different occasion." Saying this, he held the white bottle in his right hand, pouring the wine into the cups.
Fei Qianchi gripped a cup, twirling it as he stared down. There was a sick feeling in him. The man was suddenly so different now... but Fei Qianchi knew that the man was obviously not like this. None of them were... they were all lying. But he was happy to cooperate with them. He would fool them and then he would destroy all of them.
"A toast... to the memories we made and the ones to come." Fei Qianchi lifted the cup to his lips, downing the liquid, a burning sensation traveled down his throat.
Zhu Longwang also drunk his cup of wine. The man's eyes lingered on Fei Qianchi. His eyes narrowed, appearing even more attractive.
There was a light scar on his cheek.
Seeing this, Fei Qianchi knew what to do.
"I..." Fei Qianchi reached forward, his fingers lightly running over Zhu Longwang's scar. The man flinched under his touch. "I'm sorry. I was muddled then. I should've listened to you carefully, should've held back my anger. I didn't mean to hurt you."
Zhu Longwang let the man touch him. He shook his head as the man took back his hand. "You didn't mean to do it. It's alright. It didn't hurt. I don't blame you for what you did so you don't have to hold it in your heart."
Fei Qianchi's eyes casted down, avoiding Zhu Longwang. "I know that it's my fault. I foolishly believed his every word. I didn't even hesitate to throw myself into the fire. Now that I look back, I understand that I was too impulsive. From the beginning, I shouldn't have believed him." Just like how he shouldn't have believed everyone else...
Zhu Longwang's brows furrowed. His face still remained cold, but there was a deep warmth within his eyes. "Don't blame yourself. He hid himself too deep. He fooled you."
Hearing this, Fei Qianchi's lips cracked into a smile. "I shouldn't talk about this. It will only darken the mood." He reached for the bottle of wine. "Here, let us drink."
Zhu Longwang looked at the man carefully as he shook his head. But he still accepted the cup of wine.
Drinks and drinks followed. Fei Qianchi's eyes remained focused, but Zhu Longwang's eyes gradually grew blurry.
"I promised to give you a gift. I ended up breaking it so I had to fix it again." Fei Qianchi could obviously tell that Zhu Longwang was beginning to get drunk. He still smiled like normal as he held a crimson hairpin in his hand.
Zhu Longwang's face was flushed, turning a bit pink. The sun was beginning to dim, the moon beginning to appear. He was still clearheaded though.
"Here." Fei Qianchi moved, leaning in as he carefully put the hairpin into Zhu Longwang's hair.
Zhu Longwang froze as Fei Qianchi leaned in, a light smile upon his peerless face.
Fei Qianchi's eyes glinted. "You look beautiful."
Zhu Longwang's beautiful face was flushed with a tint of pink traveling to his ears. The man's face was still cold, yet, it also had its own appealing allure to it.
Fei Qianchi watched the man blink a few times, as if trying to shake his consciousness awake. It didn't take long for the man to begin feeling tired.
"Qianchi." Zhu Longwang called out. His voice was softer, sweeter even.
Fei Qianchi listened intently. "Yes."
"Bring me to my bed." Zhu Longwang knew he was drunk but he couldn't get to his bed. His whole body felt weak.
Hearing this, the smile on Fei Qianchi's lips brightened. "Of course." He walked over. Without struggling, he directly carried Zhu Longwang in his arms. The man's face leaned towards his chest. From this angle, Zhu Longwang was nodding off, unable to see the dark light in Fei Qianchi's eyes.
Fei Qianchi walked gently, softly putting Zhu Longwang onto the bed. Making sure that he was asleep, Fei Qianchi smirked as he walked away.
"Where is it?" Fei Qianchi asked. He didn't forget to put up a silencing seal.
"He has it. Check to see if there are any secret compartments. I'm sure that he hid it. If not, his brother must've put it somewhere."
Ran Mengyu's voice was heard not long after.
The dark light in Fei Qianchi's eyes made his pupils dilate. He scanned the room, moving and looking at anything that seemed odd and out of place. He searched through the shelves, picking at the books and manuals. He didn't forget to look at the counters. He kept the noises to a low level, not wanting to Zhu Longwang to wake up. He didn't want to say anything.
Finally, his eyes zoomed in on the table they previously sat at. Looking down, he saw a small hole upon the leg of the table. He smirked as he walked closer. Looking under the table, he saw a small key hidden. Pulling the key out, Fei Qianchi raised a brow as he inserted it into the leg of the table.
The sound of a door sliding open was heard.
Fei Qianchi turned his head to the ground. There was a dark passage opened. He didn't hesitate as he began to walk to the passageway, where a set of stairs were seen.
Fei Qianchi paused for a moment. He turned back, looking at the door that held Zhu Longwang. With a steeled heart, he turned away. He stepped down, the darkness crawling. The passage closed, a set of lights appeared.
Fei Qianchi looked around. There was a long hall underneath the floor. It only had one direction, so Fei Qianchi merely followed the path.
"It should be around here."
Ran Mengshu whispered.
It was then that Fei Qianchi noticed the man had appeared, walking beside him. He wasn't shocked. At the moment, Ran Mengyu was now guiding him towards revenge. Thinking so, he smirked.
It didn't take long for a door to appear.
"Don't touch it, a seal has been placed." Ran Mengyu stopped Fei Qianchi from moving forward.
Fei Qianchi nodded, stepping back as Ran Mengyu walked towards the door. He brought his fingers up to his teeth, biting it, a drop of blood appearing. The man stretched out his finger, using his blood to draw a seal upon the doors.
Fei Qianchi stood, waiting. It didn't take long for a light to suddenly emerge from the door, shattering into pieces. The doors opened, welcoming them.
Ran Mengyu smiled as he stopped in the room that had a bright light surrounding it.
Fei Qianchi stepped in as the doors closed behind him. The room was protected by several seals. Inside of the room, it was an extravagant room. There were priceless treasures inside, countless manuals and books were carefully protected by arrays.
Looking around, there were also many weapons sealed in jade.
Fei Qianchi followed Ran Mengyu as the man walked straight ahead. In front of them, upon the top of a staircase, a brilliant sword was stuck into a rock. The sword was black, gleaming with a sharp light. It was held in place by chains that suppressed its bloodlust. Even then, the sword let out a dark energy.
"This?" Fei Qianchi's smile got deeper. The energy coming from the sword was dark, dark enough to make the energy within his body move, adrenaline pumping through his body.
Ran Mengyu smiled. His yellow eyes glowed, his crimson robe made his eyes pop out. The man turned back to Fei Qianchi.
"Go... grab that sword." Ran Mengyu ordered.
Fei Qianchu's eyes were glued to the sword. Hearing Ran Mengyu's words, he moved forward without a second thought. He slowly walked up the stairs, towards the sword, exuding a dark aura. As he walked closer, the chains vibrated and shook, as if they were going to break at any moment. The sword suddenly lit up, a dark energy exploding from it as the chains shook and finally broke, shattering.
Fei Qianchi was entranced as he stopped before the rock. Finally, he put his hand onto the hilt of he sword. Without any difficulty, the sword slid away from the rock.
As soon as Fei Qianchi grabbed the sword, a strong power flowed unto his body. A dark wave of energy slowly corroded his body. Fei Qianchi felt his Qi get even stronger and a grin made its way to his lips as his eyes shone brightly. Dark waves of energy were coming off of his body, but he did not notice.
Ran Mengyu smiled deeply as he stared at Fei Qianchi. The corners of his eyes lifted, taking slow steps towards Fei Qianchi.
"That sword will bless you with all the strength you need. With this sword, you will be able to kill anyone who stops you. You will be able to get revenge without worrying about someone attempting to stop you from doing so." Ran Mengyu's words were sly. The man's eyes glimmered.
The bloodlust within Fei Qianchi grew stronger. As he held onto the sword, he could feel the madness running through his head. He wanted revenge, he wanted to kill everyone. His sense of reason was gone. He didn't care. He wanted blood to spill and run free.
"Tomorrow. Bring your people here tomorrow." Fei Qianchi suddenly said. The man's black eyes were eerie as he looked at Ran Mengyu. There was madness deep within his eyes. The grin on his face widened as he held his sword. The dark energy coursed through his body and he relished in it.
"Of course. I will get everything prepared." Ran Mengyu simply replied. The man's finger stretched out, drawing a seal on Fei Qianchi's forehead with his remaining blood. He leaned in, whispering, "Remember, you must get rid of that master of yours. Get rid of everyone that pretended to love you. Kill them all." His eyes darkened as he leaned towards Fei Qianchi's ears.
The words felt like a spell. Fei Qianchi's eyes blanked out before they grew even darker. "Of course. Wasn't it because of them? This is simply revenge."
Behind him, Ran Mengyu smirked, his face cold and ruthless. "Yes, this is just revenge. They hurt you first. You're not doing anything wrong. They deserve death for tricking you."
It felt like getting brainwashed. But at the moment, Fei Qianchi didn't notice it. It only made the anger within him grow. He held the dark and menacing sword in his hands.
It was because of them... they all lied. Their love was fake, everyone was tricking him. They had hurt him first.
"They all tricked you. They played you like a fool. Why do you think they never came to help you while you were suffering in pain?" Ran Mengyu continued to brainwash him. Behind Fei Qianchi, his hand made a seal, which in turn, made the mark under Fei Qianchi's right eye pulse. "I promised you revenge and I will help you get it. You just have to listen to my words."
Fei Qianchi held the sword, his black eyes were cold and unfathomable.
"Yes, just like this, you just have to lose yourself to this growing darkness. Let it grow, let it become stronger." Ran Mengyu walked up to the man.
"Let it consume your whole body, let it control you. This way, you can get revenge."

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.

Reborn A Paladin: The Dagger Of Shadows
Mirio awakes in a strange place, surrounded by shadows, and an overwhelming hesitation about opening his eyes. A voice speaks to him in the darkness and it awakens a hidden power within him, launching him onto the path of becoming a Paladin, and towards something more. It is a semi-realistic take on being reborn and how that might feel like. It is meant to be immersive and to help you feel what it really might mean to be reborn with powers you really don't understand. The character is somewhat of a power fantasy but not outrageously so. And it is not a harem manga, but you will see some very cool things with waifu's at some point, but it must be earned!I present to you, this story for you enjoyment. Please help me make it all it can be and more. For a full size image of the cover click here
