《Theirs》Chapter 22

...
After a few minutes, we were ready to go.
----------------------------------------------------
Katherine's dress
----------------------------------------------------
Lyla's dress
----------------------------------------------------
"Maybe you should change into something else. If Blaze sees you in that dress, he'll flip." I said as I looked her up and down.
Not that mine's any better...
"That's why I told you not to tell anyone we're going out. I want to go crazy just one night." She replied as she was fixing her hair.
I sighed and shifted uncomfortably.
This dress is going to kill me tonight.
"Let's go." She said and pulled me with her.
...
"You have got to be kidding me!" Lyla yelled over the music.
I crossed my arms and glared at the three people in front of us. Blaze smirked at us and pulled Lyla in a tight hug.
"If you want to go somewhere without me knowing, maybe you should first protect your mind Ly." He said playfully.
"Ah shit! I completely forgot about that!" Lyla said with a grumble.
"And for the love of it, please put this on." He added with a growl, putting his jacket over Lyla's shoulders.
I just looked at them in confusion.
Protect her mind?
Suddenly, I felt two pairs of arms wrapping around me and two heads leaning on my shoulders.
"Since they're married, they can communicate through their minds." Tharion explained.
Oh.
"I can't wait for us to be able to do that. Not knowing where you are is killing me." Draco said in exasperation.
"Excuse you. I don't want you prying into my mind, so don't expect that to happen any time soon." I grumbled in annoyance.
"Aww... You're so mean~" He said in baby voice.
I just glared at him without saying anything. He stuck his tongue out childishly and poked my cheek playfully. I smacked his hand away and crossed my arms.
Then I felt something over my shoulders. I looked at them and saw a jacket over them. I lifted my gaze and saw Tharion sheepishly looking to the side. The small glare he was sending to some guys was even more suspicious.

Is he... jealous?
I immediately decided to test that theory. I removed his jacket from my shoulders, but he was quick to put it back on. I raised an eyebrow and smirked a little. I removed it again, and he again put it on my shoulders, thus proving my thoughts true.
"Can you be any more transparent?" Draco grumbled lowly.
I snapped my eyes to him and saw the same expression Tharion was sporting at the moment. But I could tell he was, in a way, teasing Tharion for openly showing his jealousy.
Not that you're any less transparent.
I heard Lyla grumble something out and then she grabbed my hand.
"Let's go." She whispered to me.
"Wha-"
I didn't have time to say anything else because she yanked the jackets off of our shoulders and quickly pulled me into the big crowd in front of us.
"Lyla!" I yelled with a chuckle.
"Since there are a lot of people here, it'll be hard for them to sniff us out. Let's use that and go to a different club." She said excitedly and pulled me towards the exit. "And this time I'm protecting my mind so they can't find us." She added with a grin.
I laughed at her and continued to run.
We're going to be in so much trouble later, aren't we?
...
I was humming to a slow song which was playing on the radio as I was running around the kitchen and making breakfast for Lyla and me.
"Ugh..."
Speak of the devil.
"How are you feeling?" I asked when she sat down.
"How do you think I feel? I'm puking my insides out every two minutes." She groaned out and looked at her belly. "Give me a break baby. I couldn't even party yesterday because you decided to throw a tantrum." She scolded her belly.
I chuckled at her and turned back to our food.

Yesterday, when we escaped from the three brothers, Lyla immediately found us another club. But we weren't even one step in and she started to throw up. So we decided to just return home.
"Can you go an-"
"Ah shit. Here we go." She said and stood up.
"What? You know who it is?" I asked in confusion.
"Wait for it." She said and dragged herself to the front door.
I turned the stove off and looked toward the front door. Lyla unlocked the door and quickly stepped back. Our door flew open and a very angry looking Blaze walked in.
"Morning baby." Lyla said with a wry smile.
"Your room. Now." He said with no emotion and walked toward her room.
Lyla looked at me in panic and gestured with her hands to pray for her as she was walking behind him. But I know he won't do anything and will forgive her in less then ten minutes. This is not the first time we pulled something like this.
I turned toward our food and decided to make more because I know Blaze will stay here for a few hours. I turned around to go and grab more ingredients, but two bodies stopped me. I looked up and saw my mates.
Shit. I'm definitely getting a scolding now.
And their scowling face just proved that. They each placed a hand on the counter behind me, trapping me between them.
"The stunt you pulled yesterday wasn't very nice Katie. We were worried, you know?" Draco started with a low voice.
I involuntarily shuddered and looked to the side.
"You should be more careful from now on. Lyla is carrying our descendant which immediately puts her and the baby in danger. Plus, she's a human and she could never win against a dragon if one decides to attack her. Heck, she couldn't win against a human in her current state." Tharion continued in the same tone like Draco.
"Not to mention you're in danger too, since you two are always together." Draco added sternly.
"We aren't saying you can't go out and do things you enjoy, we just want you to be with at least one of us when you do go out in public." Tharion said and gently placed his hand on my cheek.
"Yeah. Plus, you're our mate. And as you can probably guess, we aren't friends with everyone. So you have to be careful from now on." Draco added and mimicked Tharion's movement.
I breathed out and looked at both of them.
"I understand. I'm sorry." I mumbled and looked down.
They both wrapped their arms around me and placed their heads at the crook of my neck. Then they took deep breaths and placed gentle kisses on my neck, making tingles run all over my body. My cheeks were probably red too.
"Well look at them acting like leeches." Lyla said and I immediately glared at her.
She was grinning at me, while her arms were wrapped around Blaze's torso. I just shook my head at her acting clingy just to please Blaze.
I knew he'd cave in quickly.
But I did nearly laugh at their size difference. Lyla was barely reaching Blaze's shoulders with her height. I can only imagine what I look like next to Tharion and Draco since I'm shorter than Lyla.
"Let me finish making our breakfast and then we can eat." I said and barely managed to free myself from my mates.
"Let me help you." Lyla said and unwrapped herself from Blaze.

My eyes snapped to Adrian and he already was staring at me with intense eyes. I looked away from him and at my mom. I saw her slam the contract on the table. "Now sign this sweetheart." Her words dripped like rotten and tasteless honey. I spun my head towards the table and again gazed at an opened page of the contract. It was signed by Mr and Mrs Hayes, Adrian and both of my parents. My eyes darted back to my mom and shook my head in disapproval. No way was I agreeing to this disaster. •-•-•-•-•-•-•-• -WARNINGS-• This book contains strong scenes of abuse. • Please take caution as some scenes may be too harsh for the audience to read.• All rights are owned by @PurplezBubble.Cover by @the_vampgal
