《Theirs》Chapter 41

...
While I was walking through the hallways, everyone who passed me, looked at me with wide eyes and then smiled excitedly and congratulated me for something.
Why is everyone so weird today?
I opened the door of the main kitchen and immediately spotted Scylla wolfing down a plate full of food.
"Kate!" Lyla yelled once our eyes met and quickly came up to me pulling me in a hug. I suppressed a groan because I was still sore all over my body.
Kayda slowly approached us, a smirk already stretched across her face.
"Don't you even dare." I threatened, making her chuckle.
"Okay, okay." She said with a smile, raising her hands in surrender.
Lyla pulled away and looked me up and down, purposely stopping her gaze on my neck and shoulders, which I'm sure were covered in many bites and hickeys which I obviously failed to cover.
"I see they managed to trick you too." Kayda said suddenly, looking at my outfit.
"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion and looked down at my clothes.
Then I caught Lyla glaring at her.
"They didn't tell you what color white means around here, did they?" Lyla said in annoyance.
"Uhh... No?" I said with a raised eyebrow.
Now Kayda had a megawatt smile on her face.
"You fell for it too!" She squealed excitedly getting Scylla's attention.
"What the hell is she talking about?" I asked Lyla who was still glaring daggers at Kayda.
"You basically told the whole lair that you just got fucked and married." Lyla said bluntly.
My eyes widened in horror.
"WHAT?!" I yelled in astonishment.
Kayda started laughing hysterically.
"What do you mean by that?!" I continued to yell.
"When two dragons finish mating, the day when they come out as a married couple for the first time is marked by wearing white clothes." Lyla explained, because Kayda was still laughing.

"Say what now?!" I yelled again.
I'm going to castrate those two.
'Really?' Draco's voice announced it's presence in my head.
'Really. Why didn't you tell me?!' I yelled in frustration.
'Because then you wouldn't want to wear white clothes.' Tharion answered.
'No shit Sherlock. Of course I fucking wouldn't wear it. No one sane, apart from you dragons, would wear it.' I said in annoyance.
'And that's why we didn't tell you.' Tharion said.
I breathed out in frustration and blocked our mindlink. Then I felt something on my hand. I looked down and saw Scylla playfully bitting my fingers.
"Hi cutie~ Did you miss your antie~" I said in a baby voice and took her in my arms.
Nothing can melt your frustration away like your sibling's kids. In return to my cooing, I got an excited growl and a lick on my face.
"Come here baby. Let's show your auntie what you can do now." Kayda said and took Scylla in her arms.
Then she threw her up in the air. My heart immediately jumped up my throat.
"Kay-"
To my complete and utter surprise, the tiny baby started flapping her wings and flying around the kitchen.
"What the- When did this happen?!" I asked with wide eyes.
"Two days ago. She fell off of a shelf and when we all thought that she was going to slam her head on the ground she suddenly started flying." Kayda answered happily.
Scylla landed on my head and tried to mimic a dragon roar, but it just sounded like a high-pitched growl.
"She's the cutest." I said and took Scylla in my arms.
Then I started to shower her with kisses and tickles. She tried to get away from me, but I wasn't budging.

"Will you please let go of my daughter." Matt suddenly said.
I turned around and saw him entering the kitchen. Scylla took this opportunity and got away from me. She then flew straight to her dad and landed on his shoulder.
"Party pooper." I mumbled and pouted.
He stuck his tongue out childishly and then started cuddling with his daughter. Scylla's tail couldn't stop moving which made all of us laugh.
I hope I have a daughter like that...
"Girls." Everyone looked at me. "I want to do something." I said mischievously.
...
"Are you sure about this?" Lyla asked with a brush in hand.
"Yup." I said, popping the p.
"Just do it Lyla. Can't you see how determined she is?" Kayda said with a chuckle.
"Alright, alright. But don't come crying to me later if you don't like it." Lyla said and started dying my hair.
We're inside the room where I got ready for my marriage and Lyla's dying my hair, which I wanted to do for quite some time now.
"I can't wait to see how it turns out." I wiggled excitedly, earning a slap on the shoulder from Lyla.
"Stop moving." She scolded.
I laughed, but stopped moving.
"No baby. You can't go there. It stinks." Kayda said as she tried to hold Scylla who was trying to fly.
"She wants to come here?" I asked.
"Yeah. She's curious and wants to see what you two are doing. But the smell of dye is not good for her. Baby dragons are very sensitive to smells." She explained as she was still struggling. "Ugh! I'm taking her to Matt." She quickly added and walked out, making us laugh.
"We're done for once she learns how to shift. All the shenanigans she's going to do make my stomach turn. And it's not the baby." Lyla said with a chuckle.
My eyes widened.
We're doomed.
...
"Are you positive?" I asked.
"Yes, Your Majesty. I saw her with my own eyes. Plus she had their scents all over her." My soldier answered.
"Excellent. Gather a small group and watch her every move. When the first opportunity appears, take her and bring her here. I'll deal with the rest." I instructed him.
"Understood." He said and bowed.
"You may leave now." I said and faced the window of my office.
I heard the door opening and then closing.
Finally. She has finally appeared.
I smirked.
Let's see how you two are going to live once you too lose the most precious thing in your lives.
