《The Demon King》45

I was glad that Kronos wasn't stressing over how much I needed to be looked after 24/7. He was so involved in the pregnancy, making sure I was comfortable. He was happy everyday, reading to the little sleepy thing inside of me. Always asking me if I was hungry.
The council had told us since we were giving birth to a half breed the safest thing would be to give the baby a little amount of blood. Which I got from Kronos.
While Kronos and everyone else helped with distracting me, Natalia's face always lingers in the back of my mind. No matter who insisted to me that she wasn't here I knew she was lurking. I could feel it. The people around me must mistake my anxiousness for her appearance as fear. But I was over that, I was eager to get rid of her. I was ready to have my family, and in order to do that Natalia needs to disappear.
"Adina," I look up, smiling up at Kronos. "Baby, you need to sleep." He orders, his hand falling on top of my head. His hand slips to my cheek, I sigh contently. My eyes falling shut for a moment as I soak in the gentle touch. "Here, I'll lay with you." Kronos eagerly slipped in bed with me. Wrapping his arms around me, his arm slung against my belly. He gently kissed my shoulder.
"I'm right here, my love. I'm gonna protect all of us, don't stress." Kronos whispered in my ear. I smiled, holding his hand that was rested against my belly.
I chuckled as he snuggled against me, my eyes slowly closed as Kronos played with the skin of my belly. His other hand playing with my hair.
I fell asleep feeling safe, warm, and happy.
Months had passed and my due date was two days away. I had pushed the malicious thoughts in the back of my mind and have just stayed happy.
I sighed to myself as I look in the mirror, my body turned to the side as I gently and lovingly rub my hands over my belly. I was so big, exhausted, and ready to have my baby in my arms.
I look up as arms wrap around me, I smile at Kronos. "You ready to go on our walk?" For these couple of weeks that's what we've been doing. Taking walks to see if it would help with anything.
"Mhmm." I replied, laughing as he kissed my neck.
"Mhmm." He mocked, leaning down and kissing my belly.
Kronos and I walked along the path we usually take, but not even ten minutes in a sharp pain rolls through out my back and abdomen. Water pools down my legs, I gasped gripping onto Kronos' arm with a tight hold. "My water...the baby's coming." Instantly Kronos picks me up and flashes us back into the palace.
"Doctor! Adina is in labor!" Kronos shouts.
It all happened so fast but at the same time so slow. One moment I was in excruciating pain, and then next I had my beautiful baby girl in my arms and my husband right next to me. Kissing the top of my head, and whispering things to me and my daughter. But all I could do was stare into her beautiful eyes as she slowly started to stop her wailing.

Her shirt hair was black and had a slight wave to it like her fathers. But she had my eyes and my nose, but his lips. I smiled, tears falling down my face as I gently brush my fingers against her frail skin. "Violet." I mumbled with a grin, I looked up at Kronos who had just as many tears as I did.
He nodded his head, "Violet Josie Erebros." Kissing me with the softest and loving kiss he's ever given me.
I was happy, happier than I ever thought I could be. My siblings had all returned to me, I had my daughter, and my mate. Everyone was happy and healthy.
Violet was now three months old, she was small but growing so fast. Always smiling and giggling, she made my heart always warm up.
I smile down at her as I watch her sleep. She was besides me in the bed, in her cute little fuzzy purple onesie that Carmen had gotten her. With my finger I gently curl my finger around a single one of her curls. I sigh, grinning, leaning over I press my lips against her squishy little cheeks.
"Look at this, my beautiful little family." Kronos said from behind me. I look over my shoulder as I lay on my side. He smirks at me, walking over to me in a slow stride. He grabs my jaw gently, locking me in a deep kiss. "I love you." I bit my bottom lip, trying to contain my smile.
"I love you too." He kissed me again at my reply, and then looked to our daughter.
"Lemme clean up," he leaned over me and pecked Violet on her forehead. "Join me?" I laughed rolling my eyes. He smirked at me, raising his eyebrows. "Well, before you say no Carmen-" instantly the door was open and in walked Carmen.
A lovey-dovey look on her face as she walked in, scooping Violet up in her arms before I had the chance to protest. Not like I was gonna protest that much anyhow. "Enjoy." Carmen said as she walked out the door, sending us a wink.
Kronos picked me up in his arms. "You always are plotting something against me, your majesty." He laughed at my joke.
"Of course, it's important to keep you on your toes." He said while grabbing the ends of his shirt and pulls it over his head.
We all lay on our bed, Kronos' legs and mine tangled together, our hands interlocked. Violet between us, cooing and looking back at us as Kronos told a silly story he was making up as he went.
I giggle at a joke Kronos makes, Violet letting out a squeal as her father leans down and blows a raspberry on her belly.
She lifted her hands up trying to grasp his hair. I lift my hand up, touching Kronos against his cheek. "You're such a good daddy. Aren't we lucky, Violet?" I said smiling at her, I looked back to Kronos who grins back at me.
A loud knock interrupted the sweet moment a little too soon. I felt a weird feeling in my chest, my hands went cold. Kronos quickly got up, "My King, there's been a disturbance. The council is calling you." A guard informs, Kronos looks over to me.

"Go, I'll be fine." I told him, smiling at him warmly. He clenched his jaw walking back over to me and kissing me. We pressed our foreheads together. "I'll be fine, I'll be here waiting for you."
He took in a shaky breath, "I love you." He kissed me once again, softly.
"I love you too."
As soon as he left I called Carmen, who flashed to my side immediately. Before she could open her mouth I shook my head, tears in my eyes as I held Violet in my arms. Her wide eyes looked at me, wrapped in her yellow blanket. I kissed her forehead, "I love you, I love you so much my baby." I told her as much as I could. I kissed her cheek, looking at Carmen and slowly handing my daughter over to her.
I took in a deep breath, blinking away my tears. "I'm putting a end to this. But I need you to make sure my siblings and my daughter are gonna be safe. Take them far from here, please." I left no room for her to suggest something else.
She pulled me into a hug, her hit tears touching my shoulder.
And just as I expected, Natalia crept out from the shadows and right in front of me. She looks paler than before, she was terrifyingly skinny, her cheekbones so prominent it looked like she was just a skeleton.
She chuckled as she circled around me. "How sweet. The human girl, who defied all odds and tamed the vampire king. She even had his child...a child!" She shrilled, black veins grew bold against her skin around her eyes. "That should've been me! It always should've been me, all these centuries I've killed you, Kronos, and your child. Yet you keep coming back," she smirked as she pulled out a silver dagger, the tip glowing red.
"But it'll be different this time. I'll make sure I'm the queen of this realm, with or without Kronos. He's always been a puppet anyways." She laughed.
"You're right about one thing, Natalia. It will be different." She immediately rushed after me, grabbing me by my neck with her hand. Squeezing it tight, with the other hand that held the dagger she held it up high.
"I'm gonna miss killing you," She said with a sinister smirk. I thrash underneath her, slapping at her chest as I struggle to find my breath.
"Natalia!" I watched as her eyes gained color, her grip went slack. I took in a heavy breath, coughing as Natalia got off of me.
"Ben?" Her voice quivered. I smiled at my old friend, feeling relief. "Wha-I thought. I felt that you weren't..." Ben grabbed Natalia, pulling her into his chest.
"I thought I told you...I'm not stopping until you're fully mine." Ben said brushing Natalia's hair against her face. She laughed, shaking her head.
"You still don't understand your mate. And I don't think you ever will...I'm never going to be anyone's except my own!" She screamed, she pushed Ben out the way and span over to me. I braved myself as she flung herself at me.
The dagger piercing into my chest. I let out a cry, falling onto the floor as Ben quickly snatches Natalia. "Adina...Adina I'm so sorry." He sobbed as he watched me.
"I'll put an end to this." He said, I watch with wide as he holds Natalia close to his chest.
"Wait-" I gasped out but it was too late as he snatched her heart out of her chest. I watched as the two mates fell to the floor together.
I sniffle, tears falling down my face. "Please, please protect my family. Please let them heal after this...watch after my family. Please. Please." My eyes blurred, until I let them shut.
"Adina!" I heard that voice shout. His voice has always been my favorite sound.
"Adina, Adina. Look at me, look at me!" Kronos bellows as he holds my head up. I smile at him weakly, my hand rises up. Shaking and trembling, blood smeared all over it. I cup his jaw with the palm of my hand.
"T-take it o-out," I wheeze, my eyes widening with the pain. Kronos looks at me, his face red as he's screaming around. Telling his guards to get me a doctor.
"Kronos." I call out, he looks at me. His hair was disheveled.
"Pull i-it out." I beg, he takes in a heavy breath. Violently shaking, his jaw clenched. Tears falling out of his eyes. He grabs the dagger and unsheathed it from my chest. I felt the warmth of my blood gush out from the wound.
I squeeze his arm, panting I look up at him. "Baby, no. Please, please don't go. I can't go on without you." He begged, tears falling down his face.
"I love you. And so does our baby...she needs you Kronos. So does Ida, and my siblings too." I try my best to crack a smile, but I was feeling too cold and too tired. "Violet needs you baby. Be good, be good for me?" I asked, and he let it a sob.
"I need you! I need you!" He bellowed, "Even though I've never deserved you, I need you. I love you and I need to prove that to you." I pull him with as much strength as I could.
He followed my movement and let me press his lips against mine. "Prove it to me in the next life then. I'll be waiting."
Hehe...hey y'all KEVDUSGIRGS Okay this took wayyyy too long to conclude but here we are. Literally probably more than three years...I'm so sorry. It took me so long just due to the fact that I am not proud of this book. It's really really cringe to say the least.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
