Once again finding yourself seated in the corner of the L shaped couch you let out a sigh, everyone seemed to have recovered quickly from the aging stand and were now talking about their next course of action.
"As long as no one finds us, we should make it to Venice by tomorrow or the day after." Pointing that out from beside Fugo, Abbacchio crossed his arms nodding. The two were looking at what you could only assume was a mad.
Casting his gaze around the room Narancia pursed his lips together in though, "Man...everyone seems super bummed." Aiming that more towards the way Trish and Bruno were sitting his purple hues trailed to where you sat curled against the couch, back facing the rest of the room while your stand rested among your fingers. "I wonder if Bucciarati said something harsh to Trish or if something happened with (Y/N)."
Moving his own gaze towards the three Giorno shook his head, "No...I think Trish is just worried because Bucciarati hasn't told her anything and then with (Y/N) she just seems in though." Turquoise hues lingered over your form before moving back onto Trish. "She's very strong willed. She doesn't cry or complain at all."
Shifting in place and uncurling yourself, you moved into a cross legged position, your stand was still perched against your fingers lightly fluttering its wings before drifting towards the pink haired girl.
Shifting in her seat with a disgruntled sigh Trish's emerald hues focused on the golden insect which had drifted over landing on the armrest she was facing. Staring at the intricate detailing on its wings she slowly stuck a finger out, a small smile curling onto her lips after watching it hop over. Peering over her shoulder towards where you sat she felt comforted by the smile your own expression held.
It was almost like you could tell she wasn't really with it.
A sudden loud screeching noise caught everyone's attention and each set of eyes were trained onto the ceiling. Standing up from his chair Bruno spoke, "What just happened?"

Hopping up to his feet as well Fugo pointed towards the gunslinger, "Mista, you were keeping watch on the ceiling, weren't you? What happened?"
"Huh? Me? I-I haven't the slightest- I wasn't watching at the moment...huh? Maybe the truck stopped..."Trailing off and raising a hand to rub his chin, the strawberry blond let out a groan.
"You had one job."
"What? How was it my fault? The guy probably had too much to drink or something." Crossing his arms and insisting that you couldn't help but roll your eyes at the response.
"Must've been the or something part." Muttering that and resting your chin in the palm of your hand you didn't dare look towards Mista as you spoke, a part of you still couldn't properly register what happened on the train.
"Regardless of what happened, we'll need to find a way of transportation." Speaking up Abbacchio let out a sigh flipping open the map him and Fugo had been looking at prior to the truck stopping. "We should be around here and there's a parking lot not too far. We should be able to get a car there."
Coming to a quick conclusion on what to do the group was at said parking lot in no time, the sun had seemed to dip below the horizon leaving only the growing blanket of night.
Finding yourself sitting along the small cement walls surrounding the lot Giorno stood beside you, the two of you observing the other four.
Narancia let out an impatient groan resting a hand on the ground, "Let's just steal one already."
Fugo shook his head quickly at the statement, "Are you stupid? Word would spread in no time and go right to the enemy. Then they'll be waiting to ambush us!" Nodding along to what he was saying your gaze moved from the group towards the blood standing quietly beside you.
Not a peep left the man and he was fully focused on the conversation, that or he was thinking about something else entirely. "You look like you have an idea." Reaching out and lightly tugging at his jacket your gaze was now focused on him. "Come on share with the class."

A puff of air left the guy almost like a soundless laugh before he hopped over the concrete wall where you were seated, "Watch." Merely saying one word as he passed by, you did as you were told watching Giorno's stand appear. The golden colour of it reminded you of your own stand while some rounded purple ladybug designs were spread out across its body, similar to the blue brooches the blond had.
Approaching one of the cars parked in the lot the stand took a swing launching it into the air, the action right away caught the others attention and Fugo was the first to speak stepping over the concrete barrier, "Wh-what are you doing, Giorno?"
Turning back to address the question he raised his hand motioning towards the rest of the cars, "If we steal only one, we'll be caught immediately. But if we steal a hundred..." His stand once again zipped through the parking lot sending more cars up into the air before they crashed back down onto the lot. "If it isn't just a single car that disappeared, and if they're all found in pieces at different locations," The car parts around him glowed a bright golden hue before diminishing, showing an array of small frogs.
Quickly scooting off the wall and onto the ground you held out your hands watching one of the frogs hop onto it cautiously, raising the animal up to eye level you seemingly finished what Giorno was getting at. "Meaning it'll be harder for them to locate us and that should give us more time to get where we need to."
Raising to your feet still holding onto the frog, your eyes seemed to brighten at how clever the blond was, it also always seemed that as of late you could finish each other's train of thought."
Watching the other frogs scamper away you lightly placed the one in hand back down onto the pavement watching it join it's buddies. The other men standing along the other side of the wall each commented something intune with their characteristics.
Hopping over the wall almost effortlessly Abbacchio extended the turtle out towards Giorno, "You tell Bucciarati. Here." Effectively shoving the animal into the blonds arms the silver haired man turned away nudging you towards where the other four were heading. "We're going to go get a car."
Getting roped into watching Mista attempt to hotwire a car you decided to just sit on top of the hood. There was still an awkward rush of emotions whenever you were faced with the gunslinger, but at the moment the others were around occupying your mind.
Tapping your fingers along the hood of the car Fugo made a comment for the man to hurry up, but not really having the patience you slid off the car making your way towards the drivers side. "Ok, I'm tagging in. Get out." Jutting a thumb back and waiting for Mista to comply he stared at you for a moment.
"You know how to hotwire a car?"
Rolling your eyes at the question and reaching over to drag the man out from the seat you slid into the car tugging at the wires he held previously, "My family's crazy strict, of course I do." Inputting that and gripping the two wires you tapped the two copper ends together a few quick times before finally the engine roared to life.
Patting your hands together as though you'd just done a bunch of hard work a smile kept onto your expression, "Car's ready to go."
Staring at you with his eyes raised Narancia let out a low whistle, "Damn a medic and can hotwire a car. That's hot." A yelp quickly left the male after that comment seeing as the white haired man beside didn't appreciate the statement.
"Watch yourself Narancia."

The Core And The Wardens of Eternity
What is the Core, they asked me... It's the light that pushes the darkness away, a bastion of justice, a safe keeper of life. It grooms love and tolerance, embraces science, fights ignorance, sentences it to die a slow and tragic death. The Core... it's something that can't be destroyed for destroying it is to terminate the time and space itself. When the stuck-in-a-dark-age world of Zanria goes offline, the Core sends one of its experienced agents to find out what is going on and to try to reestablish a mysteriously severed connection. However, all his training and experience might come way short as the world sinks in war and chaos with different races and clans fighting for the Star of Bardan, the ward rumored to possess enough supernatural power to create and destroy entire worlds. *** I just changed the name of the series, from 'the Nexus' to 'the Core'. Somehow it just sounds more right to me. This is the first story, and it has a medieval fantasy setting. But, eventually, this is going to turn into Isekai series with elements of LitRPG. So, my future books might include worlds with advanced technologies that might be more in SciFi, including Steampunk, genre. The first book might start slow, but after a few chapters, it should all be properly set up, and by then you should get the feel of how it will all flow. Also, I plan to introduce different story threats that should spread out and criss-cross in the future. Hopefully, I will not complicate it too much, and that it will all read good. I am planning to continue to add chapters to the main storyline here, but I'm also starting a new story threat in the Core series called The Recordings of Raan. There is also a side story The Memoires of Eisen that's exclusive on Patreon for those who would like to support me.
