Trailing down the hall once more you could faintly make out the sound of talking coming from within a set of double doors, one out of the two voices sported a familiar French accent while the other just let out a series of whines.
Reaching out and softly punishing the door open you peered in spotting a familiar black haired teen sitting at the end of a large table, his turtle tutor stood before him on said table staring down at a piece of paper with a pencil in his mouth.
"Evening Polnareff, Narancia." Waving towards the two, the teen's expression right away lit up upon watching you enter. The pencil in hand was forgotten in an instant and he gave you an excited wave.
"(Y/N)!" Calling out your name even if you had already acknowledged him, the teen slumped down into his seat quickly after. "Math is hard and Polnareff is being mean."
Rolling your eyes at his statement and nearing the table you occupied one of the empty seats, eyes moving towards the turtle giving him a look, "He's voluntarily teaching you so I don't see a problem there." Pursing your lips, you held in a snicker seeing the teen once again release a loud groan.
Turning his head to face you Polnareff spoke, "What have you been doing all day?" Upon asking that he could hear you begin responding with a slight hum, moving as you spoke towards the basket at your side.
"Just avoiding all the weird people coming in to see Giorno." Beginning with that you tugged out two other flower crowns, placing a small red one over Polnareff's shell while reaching out to settle an orange on top of Narancia's head. "That and I didn't want to run the risk of seeing my parents."
Perking up at your last point Narancia knitted his brows together, "You avoiding them?" while asking that he reached up to fiddle with the flower crown bestowed upon him right away letting out a happy hum at the prospect of it being hand made.

"You could say that, I mean I haven't answered any of their letters or phone calls since Giorno became Don." Raising an arm and resting an elbow on the table you nestled your face into your palm releasing a sigh. "Don't really want to deal with that shit. Too much childhood trauma." Having added that you watched him give a nod sympathizing.
"So it's best to ignore the issue." Musing that afterwards and leaning back into your chair, your eyes trailed over the two as another hum left your lips. "But beside that how's learning going?"
"Awful."
Rolling your eyes at the one word answer, you reached out tugging the paper he'd been working on over, your eyes scanned the equation briefly recalling a few you'd seen Fugo teach him. The thought of the strawberry blond however brought a subtle frown to your face before it quickly dropped returning to a lighter half smile.
"This doesn't seem too hard, I mean are you listening to Polnareff?" Motioning to the turtle then looking back towards the teen he gave a nod yes before the man cut in.
"He whines a lot and argues with me." Quickly throwing the raven haired teen under the bus you held in a laugh, you were aware he was straight forward, but considering he was a literal ghost inhabiting a turtle- teaching someone math just felt so funny.
"Sorry about that then, Narancia's a bit-" One of your hands was raised resting against the side of your mouth, your next words being a mock whisper. "Of a handful."
Said teen once again whined, throwing his arms over the table's surface in a dramatic manner, "Gah you both are so mean, no wonder you get along." Huffing that out and turning his head he rested one of his cheeks against the smooth surface.
Purple hues trailed across your expression watching you once again stifle a laugh, your hand was raised hovering over your mouth while your eyes practically glittered from the comment.

Calming yourself down and reaching out a hand you rested it within the teens dark locks ruffling up the hairs just underneath the flower crown, the sensation of which drew out a subtle pink glow. "You've got this Narancia. Math isn't so hard when you get the hang of it, and hey if you need extra help I don't mind."
"You're a godsend, you know that (Y/N)?" Moving a hand up towards where yours was he lightly took your hand off his head holding it in his own.
Watching the interaction from his place atop the table Polnareff let out a soft hum, since being around everyone he could pick up quite easily how everyone felt about you. Most of which seemed like subtle crushes while others shined through more often than necessary.
He could see how each of the boys looked at you and how they interacted differently with you compared to with anyone else.
Though his observations did have to be cut short a good majority of the time when he had to attend some meet and greets with Giornos as second in command.
Even after just being a haunted turtle.
"Oh, Polnareff." Quickly catching the man's attention you continued speaking, your hand now being played with by the teen. "I'm planning to go out and explore the area at some point this week and wanted to know if you either wanted to tag along or wanted me to pick anything up?"
Being grateful that you thought of taking him along, he could only shake his head softly, "If you could just get some books or magazines that would be appreciated." Responding with that he watched you give a nod before pushing away from the table rising to your feet.
"Alright then, well, now that my job here has been finished I'll be on my way." Moving to pull your hand away from Narancia he let out a whine maintaining his hold on it.
"So soon?"
Bobbing your head down in response you motioned towards the basket, "Yep, I've got a few more flower crowns to drop off."
Wiggling your fingers around before your hand was eventually released, you reached out patting him once more on the head, "We live in the same house now, so I'll for sure see you around. You too Polnareff." Adding in the last bit you spared the turtle a little wave turning to make your way back towards the door and into the hall.
Watching you leave Narancia dropped his head back onto the table with a thud, a groan in annoyance leaked through his mouth before his head shifted upwards, chin now resting along the table's surface. His eyes right away met with Polnareff's, "Man. How do you tell a girl you like them?"
Blinking a few times at what the dark haired teen had asked Polnareff had to double check if that was an actual question or not. "You're serious? You don't know how to tell a girl you like them?"
A deep sigh left the teen, "Not really, I just get tongue tied. Like there's this fluttery feeling when I'm around her and yet I just don't really know how to talk to girls in general."
Nodding his head in an understanding manner Polnareff recalled his own days of being a young man, traveling around the world and meeting his own fair share of dazzling maidens. A nostalgic sigh left him, "I haven't exactly been in touch with the outside world for quite some time, but just being yourself was something I was always told."
"That and Chivalry isn't dead."

Primal Adaptation
The story of a little soul that ends up tangled in the games and bets of entities that utilize beasts of any primordial planet as a game avatar to make the Perfect Primal. This tale is not only its story because it will also share its destiny with the entity that will help it in its journey, and together they will rise from their particular situations one way or another. Primal Adaptation is a history with some RPG elements in it, but the MC can't look at a status screen or skill page because it's a beast through and through. I have implemented an evolution system for all the creatures of this story, where they grow or mutate depending on what they consume. In this tale, you won't find a Deus ex machina to give the protagonist power-ups. Everything must be learned and comprehended before its use unless it's something it gets immediately, or the abilities get understood by instinct. In essence, it is survival and gambit for opportunities, be it from one MC or the other.
