I wake up to a knock at the front door and the guys are about to leave.

Felix: "Come on Ember, we are going to school."

Ember: "Alright."

I grab my bag and follow them. When we get to school, we head toward Mr Bates' classroom, but I get stopped by Sean.

Sean: "Hey Ember. Wait up."

I stop and the boys stop too. I turn around and see him.

Ember: "Hey Sean, what's up."

Sean: "I heard you got hurt yesterday. Are you alright?"

Ember: "Yeah, it was just a twisted ankle. I'm fine now."

Sean: "Well that's good. Do you want me to carry your bag for you?"

Felix: "That's alright, we are taking very good care of her."

Ember: "Thanks Sean, but it's okay. I'm all good."

We then continue on our way to the classroom. We sit in the 5 seats that Mr Bates prepared for us.

Mr Bates: "I'm very disappointed in you 5, I mean what were you thinking? We have made every effort to make you feel welcome."

Andy: "And we appreciate the efforts Mr Bates."

Mr Bates: "But at every step of the way, your behavior has indicated that you do not want to be a part of this community."

Jake: "No really, we do want to be part of this world."

Felix: "More than anything."

Sam: "Not all of us."

Felix: "Sam"

Sam: "Some of us are sick of playing these whack games."

Sam gets up and leaves.

Mr Bates: "Beg your pardon?"

Jake goes after him to try to get him back.

Andy: "I'm sorry, he's really upset."

Felix: "He misses his girlfriend."

Andy: "Honestly, I know it's taken us awhile to adjust-"

Felix: "But from now on, we will be model students."

Mr Bates: "Yes, well, one more outburst like that, and you'll be cleaning graffiti off the desks for the next month. Or 3."

Ember: "We are truly sorry Mr Bates."

Felix and Andy get up and leave and as I go to leave, Mr Bates stops me.

Mr Bates: "Hey Ember, how is your foot?"

Ember: "It's a lot better now, thank you. I guess it's what I get for not stopping the boys in the first place."

Then I leave. I go to my locker and when I open it, a bunch of papers fall out. I bend down to pick them up and I open a couple as I go.

And the rest are all similar or the same.

Madison: "Well someone's popular."

Ember: "Hi Madison. I don't know how this even happened."

Madison: "It's obvious. You're a hot girl and guys want you."

Ember: "Can you help me? I twisted my ankle yesterday, so this is hurting me."

Madison: "Of course. Stand up before you make it worse."

I stand up and she hands me the love notes as I put them in my bag. When we are done, I take out my binder and shut the locker.

Ember: "Thanks Madison."

Madison: "No problem. Let's hangout soon."

Ember: "Okay. It would be nice to get away from the boys for a little bit."

Madison: "Your life must be hectic with those 4 all the time."

Ember: "Yeah, it is a little bit crazy."

We laugh together.

Madison: "So is Felix taking care of you?"

Ember: "Yeah, him and the other 3 are being as helpful as erratic teenage boys can be."

Madison: "Even though you and Felix are cousins, you 2 would make a cute couple."

I blush and then we go to our next class. She sits with Kyle and I sit with Felix. When the bell rings, we pack up to go and I go up to the roof. When I get up there, something seems off and I can't help but feel like I need to be back inside. I go in and see Jake and Andy running.

Ember: "Why are you tw-"

Andy: "Let's go."

They grab my arm and I am running with them now.

Andy: "Sam, what are you doing?"

We see Sam with a hammer in his hand and the talisman on the table.

Sam: "This thing is why we're here."

Jake: "Mate, what are you talking about?"

Sam: "Mia told me."

Andy: "What's Mia got to do with it?"

Sam: "The talisman is why we're still here."

Andy: "Mia doesn't know anything about magic. Does she?"

Sam: "Well if I blitz this thing, we'll all go back to our real lives."

Andy: "The talisman's protecting us, Sam."

Ember: "Sam, just put the hammer down and let me take the talisman."

Sam: "No you don't understand. Mia's right. You'll see."

Sam raises the hammer and as he swings it down, I yell, "Don't!" The talisman breaks and we cover our ears as it releases an earsplitting sound and breaks into 4 pieces.

Andy: "We're still here."

Jake: "And defenseless."

Ember: "Nice job Sam."

Sam: "What have I done? Have I just killed us?"

Jake: "I hope not."

Andy picks up the pieces.

Sam: "Okay Sam, get it together. Can this be fixed?"

Andy: "Felix would know."

Sam: "He's in the old classroom at the back of the school with Mia."

Andy: "Let's go."

We run to the classroom. We see Felix being cornered by the demon. Sam tries to break Mia out of the demon's grip and Felix gets around and runs out of the door and I go with him. He grabs my hand and we hide together.

Sam: "Felix, Ember?"

Felix has a fire extinguisher and I don't speak either.

Sam: "Felix."

Sam then pushes the curtain and finds us.

Sam: "Didn't you hear me?"

Felix: "Well you're not exactly my most trusted bestie at the moment."

Sam: "This change your mind?"

He holds up the talisman in one piece and I look very confused at it. Felix takes it.

Felix: "You got it back. Why is it sticky?"

Andy: "Probably the glue."

Felix: "What?"

Sam: "There was kind of an incident."

Then demon Mia comes in.

Felix: "Perfect timing."

I get ready to run, because I don't believe that glue can fix a magical item. When Felix does the spell, it doesn't work and Sam blasts Mia with the fire extinguisher.

Andy: "Run!"

We all take off running. We go to the workshop.

Felix: "Let's make a run to Phoebe's."

Jake: "We'll never make it across the road."

Andy: "We have to keep going, she's gonna catch us."

Ember: "On the bright side, this is our PE session for the day." I mumble sarcastically.

Sam: "Not if we catch her first."

Then we hide in a car and wait for demon Mia. When she passes us, we quietly get out and go around to the other side of the second car. Jake throws a piece of metal and Sam gestures for us to follow him. We quickly go and I am the first one to get under and out on the other side, then Andy and Jake and as Felix is halfway through, he gets grabbed by the legs.

Felix: "She's got me, help."

Jake grabs one of his arms and Andy & I grab the other. We try to pull him free, but can't."

Sam: "Lose your pants."

I let go of Felix and take his belt off of his pants while the guys pull him and he slips right out of his pants. The door shuts and they help Felix up. We run to the other door to help Sam and find him with Felix's pants.

Sam: "I don't know what's worse, being chased by a demon or seeing you in your undies."

He gives Felix his pants.

Ember: "Definitely being chased by a demon."

Andy: "Alright, let's not celebrate prematurely."

Then we start walking away.

Sam: "I'll catch up, I can't leave Mia."

Jake: "I'll come with you."

As Jake walks back with Sam, Felix stops him.

Felix: "Why do you have a unicorn?"

Jake: "Mike gave it to me."

Felix: "A guy gave you a unicorn?"

Jake: "What's wrong with that?"

Andy: "Come on."

Felix, Andy, and I run away. We go to Phoebe's and Felix puts his pants on and then I hand him his belt.

Felix: "Thanks."

Ember: "You're welcome. Now I'm gonna set up the blow-up mattress."

Andy: "You still have one?"

Ember: "Yeah, I didn't want to leave all 3 behind, but I could only fit one in my bag."

Andy: "Oh."

When we go in, we go straight to the back and I inflate the mattress. I also put all of the love notes in the trash.

Felix: "So who gets to sleep on it?"

Ember: "Whoever doesn't have a bunk bed. Although there is also that thing that you slept on last night."

Felix: "I'd rather share with you."

Ember: "Okay, you and I can share the mattress. Now since Phoebe doesn't cook, I'm gonna go get food."

Felix: "Wait, I'll go with you. I needed to talk to you anyhow."

Ember: "Okay."

Andy: "I'll wait here."

As we walk to the store, Felix strikes up a conversation.

Felix: "Yesterday on the bus, why did you tell Madison that I had a girlfriend?"

Ember: "Because I didn't think you liked girls like her."

Felix: "I think there's another reason."

Ember: "And what might that reason be exactly?"

Felix: "Do you like me?"

Ember: "Of course I like you Felix."

Felix: "Not as a friend. As more than a friend."

Ember: "Oh, well, yeah. Madison made me realize that I do. But I know you like Ellen."

Felix: "I don't like Ellen like that. She's just my best friend."

Ember: "Oh."

Felix: "I actually do like you, like that. I was kinda jealous when Sean kissed your hand."

Ember: "So what do we do now?"

Felix: "I was wondering if you would like to go out with me?"

I nod my head and kiss his cheek.

Ember: "Did you by any chance, hear what I told Madison about my last boyfriend?"

Felix: "Yes, and I promise I would never do that to you."

Ember: "Good, because I don't know what I would do if you did."

He kisses my cheek and then we go into the grocery store. We grab a pack of 24 Dasani water bottles, 2 fresh tomatoes, a head of lettuce, a jar of mayonnaise, a pack of bacon, and a loaf of bread.

Felix: "So BLTs for dinner?"

Ember: "Yup. I may not know why you guys made that BLT reference a couple days ago, but I'm willing to let you guys have an actual BLT now."

Felix laughs.

Felix: "It was a joke on what happened when you went on a walk."

Ember: "Oh, okay."

We go to the check out.

Cashier: "Your total is $49.81."

I hand the cashier a $50.

Ember: "Keep the change."

Felix grabs the bags and we leave.

Ember: "Okay, now I have $4,119 left."

Felix: "Wait, what? How do you have so much money?"

Ember: "Relax, I didn't steal it. My family is rich. I never really tell anyone, so people don't use me for my money. Madison and I went on the excursion with $2,500 each, for in case of an emergency. She had me hold onto her money, so when we came to this world, I started out with $5,000."

Felix: "So you actually got all of that stuff with your own money?"

Ember: "Yeah."

Felix: "I can't believe it hasn't cost over $1,000 yet."

Ember: "Me too."

We go back to Phoebe's and make BLTs for everyone. When the guys see the BLTs, they cheer for me and Felix.

Sam: "You guys are awesome."

Jake: "Sweet."

Andy: "I'm not even gonna ask how you got all of this stuff."

Felix kisses my temple and then we eat our BLTs. Later Sam sleeps on the top bunk, Jake is on the bottom bunk, and Andy is looking through a book with a candle for light while I am sitting on Felix's lap as he flips through the pages.

Andy: "Okay are you 2 together?"

Felix: "Yes."

Ember: "We got together this afternoon, on our way to the store."

Andy: "It's about time. I'm done for the night."

Felix: "We won't be far behind."

Andy puts out his candle and lays down.

Andy: "You know, demon Roland and demon Mia had the chance to kill the rest of us multiple times, but they only seem to be interested in you, Felix."

Felix: "I suppose, the demon targets the greatest magical power and the most interesting."

Andy: "True explanation. But still, see you in the morning."

Then Andy falls asleep.

Ember: "You really are the most interesting."

He laughs lightly and kisses my cheek. He looks at the book and then opens his diary.

Felix: "That's the connection, and this is our way home."

Ember: "You finally found it."

Felix: "Yeah."

I yawn and put my head on his shoulder.

Felix: "Why don't you go to bed?"

Ember: "Because it wouldn't be fair if you were the only one to stay up all night."

Felix: "I'll be fine. Just go to sleep. I'll join you in a few minutes."

Ember: "Okay. Good night."

I kiss his cheek and then go to bed.
