《Stuck With Him: Kai Parker》13

"Salvatore brothers, who is Kol?" I asked that next day when I came downstairs for breakfast.
Stefan dropped his phone in his hand and Damon spat out his bourbon onto the floor. My eyebrows fused together and Stefan looked at me. "What?"
"Who's Kol?" I repeated. "I had this like dream thing last night. There was a guy, his name was Kol, and he gave me this." I held up the necklace to show them and the brothers exchanged a glance.
"Well it's a dream so he's obviously made up." Damon told me, standing up to get himself a fresh glass of bourbon. Stefan left the room.
"But it didn't feel like a dream." I told him, bringing my knees to my chest. "I swear it felt felt. And this isn't the first time."
"What does that mean?" Stefan wondered, walking back with a cloth to clear the mess Damon made on the floor.
"I used to get these little memory flashback things, when I was with Kai in the prison world." Damon almost choked on his drink and Stefan scratched the back of his neck. I fused my eyebrows together and looked at the both of them. "What aren't you telling me?"
"Well you see." Damon began, sitting back down. He set down his glass and clasped his hands together. "You aren't actually Riley." I pulled a confused look. "You're more the girlfriend to Kol Mikaelson." He said rather quickly and picked up his bourbon again.
My jaw dropped and I looked at Stefan, who shrugged with a nod. "I'm what?" I asked. "What? Please elaborate."
Stefan took a deep breath and explained. "Look your real name is Raquel, Raquel Collins-"
"Raquel Collins?" He nodded. "Bonnie told me about her." I paused. "Well me."
"You moved here from England when you were sixteen. Your parents had died and you were going to live with your aunt-"
"My parents are dead?" I couldn't help but feel sadden by this news, even though I couldn't remember them. Stefan gave me a sympathetic smile. "What about my aunt? Is she alive? Maybe I could ask her-"
"Riley." Damon said softly. I looked at him. "Your aunt died when were eighteen, it was cancer."
My heart sunk and I blinked away my tears. "So I have no family." I said, swallowing the lump in my throat.
"You have us." Stefan assured me, his hand on mine. "We met you in high school, immediately you clicked with Elena, Caroline and Bonnie."
"Then why didn't you or Bonnie tell me that you knew me?" I asked Damon, turning my attention to him.
He sighed. "We didn't know whether it was your or just our imagination." Damon said. "You'd been dead for two years."
I gulped. "How did I die?"
Damon let out a small chuckle. "You were curious and always put your nose where it didn't belong." He said. "Riley, you're a witch if you didn't already know and you were powerful."
I sighed. "But I don't understand." I huffed. "Why can't I remember?"
Damon finished his drink, putting down the glass. "Well you see, Kol came into the picture along with his other weird siblings. You two became close, very close."

"So he's the one I've been seeing in my flashbacks."
Stefan shrugged. "It's possible." He said. "The two are you were inseparable."
"What happened?"
Damon snorted a laugh. "You, being the curious idiot you are, interrupted his mother as she did a very important spell."
I slowly nodded. "And....."
"So she got a pretty mad, you see she never liked you in the first place."
"Why?"
"She thought you were taking her son away from her." Damon answered. "Then she swiped your memories but before we could do anything, she 'killed' you." Damon finished, pouring himself a fresh drink.
"But instead I was put into a prison world."
Stefan nodded. "I guess so." He said. "It all happened so fast, one minute you were there, but you didn't remember us, and the next you were gone."
"You should've seen your lover boy." Damon tutted. "An original mixed with a heartbreak is a dangerous thing and hundreds had to pay the price of it."
"Is he still murdering people?" I wondered, wrapping my arms myself.
Damon shook his head. "His brother, Klaus, managed to dagger him."
"So he's dead?" I asked, unsure of how I should feel by this.
"Not exactly." Damon said. "He's just stuck in a box, until someone takes out the knife in his chest."
"Where you two ever going to tell me this?" I asked the brothers. They exchanged a glance.
"Honestly no." Stefan spoke. "We didn't want throw this onto you, especially since that you just got back from a prison world."
"But what about Kol?" I wondered. "Won't he find out by this?"
Damon shrugged. "I can't promise he won't find out because the possibility is there." He said. "Not to mention, his family knows a lot of people and witches to locate you or bring you back."
I ran my hand through my hair. "How old am I?"
"I think you're suppose to be twenty one, but due to the prison world you're nineteen."
"Oh, I thought I was eighteen." I said. "I found a piece of paper with eighteen on it."
"That's how long you were with Kol." Stefan told me. "Eighteen months, it was your anniversary the night you 'died'."
"Oh." I glanced back down at the necklace. "But if I'm a witch then why couldn't Kai take my magic? I mean he siphoned Bonnie's magic away."
"That I have no idea." Damon replied, shrugging and Stefan looked lost too.
"Wait so......" I paused and groaned resting my head in my hands.
"What's wrong?" Stefan asked.
I held my head in my hands. "I may have kissed Kai."
"Gross." Damon cringed.
"Well you never stopped it, Damon." I pointed out. "You saw how close we were and never did anything."
"Riley, I was close to losing my mind." He said. "I was still partly convinced you were another feature in that hell."
I just sighed and stood up. "I'm going for a walk." I looked at the brothers. "Thank you for explaining to me. But keep calling me Riley."

"Of course Riley." Stefan said. "We're here if you have anymore questions."
I smiled. "Thanks Stefan." I gave Damon a nod before I left the house. Walking down the road, I inhaled a deep breath and ran my hands through my hair. "My life is messed up."

"Riley." I hummed and looked over at Liv. She rolled her eyes. "Finally, I've been calling you for ages."
"Sorry." I shook my head. "I was just thinking."
"About being with an original and not remembering him?" She guessed, I raised a brow.
"How did you know?"
"You told me."
"I did?"
"Woah, you're forgetful."
I snorted a laugh. "I know."
Liv grinned. "Okay, well you need to get more ice because we're running low." I groaned and she shoved my arm. "You're so lazy."
"You're so lazy." I mimiced while I walked away.
"Heard that."
I laughed. "Don't care."
Shivering, whilst I entered the freezer, I grabbed a bag of ice. I gasped when the cold bag touched my skin. I grabbed the bag by a corner and tugged it out of the freezer.
"Damn ice." I muttered between pants because the bag was heavy. I kicked the door shut and somehow tripped over the air. I fell onto the ground and in the process, popped open the bag of ice.
Ice splattered onto the floor and I laid on the ground. I let out a whine and sat, seeing the mess. I shot the ice a glare and shook my head. "Stupid ice."
I picked up, what I could, before throwing the ice away. Mopping away the mess, I put down a sign mainly to remind myself so I wouldn't trip again.
Getting bag of ice, I decided to carry it back into the front of the bar. Only it was empty.
I put the ice away and looked around. "What the....." I frowned. "Liv?"
"Riley?" I heard a croaked voice reply. My eyes widened and I followed the voice. I gasped when saw an injured Liv. "Liv, what happened?"
"That little magic sucking." She said to herself, while I helped her to her feet.
I wondered. He was the only person I knew, who had the ability to absorb magic from others after all. I dismissed that thought though.
"Let me call Luke." I said and I helped Liv sat down on a bar stool. "Are you in any pain?"
She shook her head. "I'm alright, I'll be fine." Liv muttered something else but I didn't hear.
"What was that?" I asked, looking from my phone to her. Liv shook her head, so I shook it off and called Luke. "Hi Luke."
"Riley, always a pleasure." I smiled, he always said when I spoke to him.
"Actually my name is Raquel." I corrected.
"What?" He sounded surprised. "You remember?"
"Not exactly, I just had a thorough talk with Stefan and Damon this morning."
"Oh, okay." He said. "So what do I owe the pleasure?"
"Something happened to Liv."
I heard something smash from his end. "What?"
"She's fine." I assured him quickly, before he overreacted. "But I think somebody stole some her magic."
"Holy shit." He said. "Riley meet me in her dorm in ten."
"Alright, see you in ten."
"Likewise." He hung up and I put away my phone. I looked at Liv, who seemed a little better but her skin was paler.
"Come on Liv, let's get you to your dorm." I draped her arm over my shoulder and we left the bar. I used her keys to lock the bar.
"You're not driving my car." She said, when we reached her car.
I rolled my eyes. I couldn't drive, I tried one time and failed. Instead of driving, I almost killed Stefan and I, but it was fun.
"Well you don't seem in shape too." I reminded her. "So it's me or we walk."
Liv paused and shook her head. "No I'll drive."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm good Riley." Liv stood up straight and got out her car keys from her pocket.
We both got into her car and I sent her a look. "You better not kill me."
Liv laughed a little. "Actually, you'd kill us Riley."
"Touche." I laughed, while she started her car.

"Bye." I waved to Liv. "Thanks for the ride home."
"It's no problem, Riley." She said, looking around. "It's feels weird being back in Mystic Falls."
"I wondered how the spell was reversed."
"At this point, I'd rather not know." Liv said and I hummed.
"Good point." I got out of her car. It was late and I was back at Damon and Stefan's original house, now that we could be in Mystic Falls.
When we reached Liv's dorm, I spent a while with her and Luke to make sure she was alright. In return, Liv dropped me off at the Salvatore's home, Stefan texted me the new address so I didn't get lost.
"Goodnight Riley."
I waved. "Goodnight Liv." And with that she drove off into the night.
I let out a deep breath, walking up the path to the door. I knocked on the door and adjusted Zeke on my back.
Stefan opened the door. He raised a brow and he looked outside with confused written on his face. I clicked my fingers in his face but he didn't respond.
"What the hell? Stefan?" I called, confused as well. "Stefan, hello. Riley here."
I punched his arm and saw him touch his arm I had hit. "What the hell?" He muttered, looking from his arm to me, but apparently not at me.
I thought.
"Stefan!" I repeated, waving my hands in his face. "Hello I am right here."
"Damon did you hear the door knock?" Stefan called, looking back. Damon stood in the hallway and stared right at me.
"No."
"Damon!" I called, waving my arms around.
"Maybe it was just me." Stefan shrugged and shut the door.
My jaw dropped and I scoffed. "What the h-"
Suddenly a cloth is over my mouth and nose interrupting me. I struggled and forced myself to hold my breath.
However, not matter how much I fought. The chemicals were in my system and the person was much stronger.
My body went weak as my eyes shut and everything faded into darkness.
