《Stuck With Him: Kai Parker》21

"Riley, Riley wake up." I heard Damon say and I felt my body shake. I groaned and opened my eyes to meet with his blue ones.
"Damon." I said. I lifted a brow as I noticed myself laying on the floor. "Why am I on the floor?"
"Because-"
"Did I get another memory of Kol?" I asked. "But I don't remember it this time. How-"
"Look who's finally awake." A voice interrupted. My head snapped in that direction and Kol waved. "Damon I have it from here. You can go."
Damon kissed his teeth but helped me to my feet before leaving. Kol walked over to me and kissed my cheek. "Hello kitten."
"What are you doing here?" I asked confused.
Kol just grinned, sipping his glass of bourbon. "You'll find out."
I raised a brow.
"Why did Damon leave?" I wondered, running a hand through my hair to fix it. Kol shrugged. "Did something happen?"
"I assume." He winked. "Tell me kitten-"
"Riley." I gritted out with a sigh.
He sighed. "Riley." He said, coming closer and trapping him between him and the wall. "Why is it that you pass out when you remember a memory about us?"
I tensed slightly as Kol raised a brow. "I don't know." I mumbled. "It just happens, besides we've been over this." He nodded and sipped his drink. "Where are the rest of your siblings?"
Kol looked at me. "Klaus and Elijah are on they way back to New Orleans whilst Rebekah has gone to chat to that human."
I raised a brow. "Who?"
"Matt." He said. "But i chose to stay here and watch you."
I frowned. "Watch me for what?"
Kol kissed my forehead with a smile. "To test something, kitten."
"Don't call me that, my name is Riley."
"Last time I checked, it was Raquel, you know my girlfriend's name."
"Last time I checked, we weren't together." I muttered under my breath, though he heard and glared.
"Time will tell, kitten." He simply said, sipping his drink.
"What does that mean?"
Kol smiled. "That's a surprise."
I frowned. "I don't like surprises."
"I know."

"Ri." Someone said, hugging me tight. I stood there with confusion and raised a brow. Jeremy stood behind the guy hugging me, looking relieved. "Ri, I didn't die."
"What?" I asked. I looked at Jeremy. "What's going on?" I mouthed.
Jeremy's face dropped and I got even more confused. "Ri." The guy said, finally getting off me. He smiled, a cute smile. "I didn't die."
"And?" I shrugged. He raised a brow and kissed my forehead.
"And it means we can have a repeat of this morning over and over again."
"What happened?" I asked. The guy tilted his head to the right slightly. It was a simple gesture but really cute. "And who are you?"

He rolled his eyes. "Funny Ri."
"Why are you calling me Ri?" I asked. "My name is Riley. Not Ri. What a stupid name."
His smile fell and he cupped my face, bringing it inches from his. "No." He forced me to look at me. I took that moment to fully look at him. He had memorising blue eyes with dark brown hair styled in a messy yet perfect way.
I continued to examine, staring at his perfect features until my eyes fell upon his lips. They were full as if he bit them a lot and luscious pink. "Riley." I met his eyes. "You're lying aren't you?"
"Lying about what?" I asked. "The fact that you are way too close in my personal space?"
The corner of his mouth rose was a smile formed on his lips. I had to admit, he was very attractive but something told me, trouble followed him.
"Riley, you know who I am." He said slowly. "Don't you?"
I shook my head. "You must have me mistaken, I don't know who you are."
I watched his grin go and sadness filled his amazing eyes. "You don't remember me?"
I moved him off me. I thought, seeing his eyes full of hurt and anger.
Kol chuckled. "This is just too precious." He said, making everyone look at him.
"What did you do?" The guy questioned, his tone harsh and emotionless.
"Well I myself did nothing, oh who am I kidding?" Kol said. "She doesn't remember you Kai, her memories gone, never coming back."
The guy, Kai, glared his hands clenched in fist as his eyes darkened a shade emphasising his anger. "You son of a bitch." He swore at Kol.
"I'm with you on that, my mother was a bitch. But you've already had your own family issues haven't you Malachai?" Kol smirked.
My eyes widened and I took a step away from Kai, who looked mad. Jeremy stood next to me. "Riley." I looked at him. "Do you not remember him?"
"Who Kai? I just met him." I shrugged. Jeremy mumbled something under his breath but I never heard it. "Did you save Bonnie?"
"Yeah, just in time." He glanced around. "Hey, where's Damon and Elena?"
I shrugged. "I'm not sure, he went somewhere."
Jeremy muttered something but I didn't catch on other than the words, 'Kai' and 'memories'.
"Riley." I jumped a little to Kai's voice and looked at him. He looked hurt and vulnerable. Kai walked over to me, his arms wrapping around my waist.
"Don't touch me." I said, moving his arms off me. "We have just met."
Kai shook his head. "No, no, Ri. Please say you remember me."
"I..."
"Riley, I think you should read this." Kol interrupted, handing me an open newspaper. The date was 1994.
I wondered.

"What's so special about this?" I asked.
"Nothing-"
"Just read the article love." Kol said and I nodded. Reading over the article, my eyes widening and I gasped, looking at Kai. "Is your name Malachai Parker?"
Kai sighed. "Yes."
"And you...murdered your family?" I shuffled away from him and felt Kol wrap his arm around me.
"Ri, it's not what you thin-"
"Stop calling me Ri!" I snapped. Kai purses his lips together and shoved his hands in his pockets. "You murderer!"
He never responded, staring at the floor. "Love, why don't you come wth me?"
I raised a brow. "No." I said, moving away from him and looked at the two of them. I dropped the newspaper on the ground.
"You need help." I said to Kai. "And you need to move on." I said to Kol, before walking away.
"Riley-"
"Don't." I interrupted Jeremy, leaving the house.

"Want anything?" Matt asked me, I shook my head but then nodded
"Actually, maybe just a glass of vodka." I said, tearing apart a napkin. "A big glass."
"Isn't it a little early Riley?"
I shrugged. "Damon always drinks."
"He's a vampire."
"Well I want vodka." I say. "Please or something alcoholic."
"Fine but only one drink."
I smiled. "Promise."
"Coming right up." He said. I grinned, getting out my phone. Missed messages from Liv, Damon, Stefan and Kai?
I thought, reading the messages from everyone.
Liv was apologising for being rude, but I didn't remember her acting rude.
Damon and Stefan were wondering where I was.
And Kai was begging me to call him back.
Rolling my eyes, I switched off my phone and put down. Matt soon arrived back with my drink and I smiled. "Bourbon for Riley."
"Just call me Damon." I toasted, before taking a big gulp of the drink.
In a few moments the drink is done and I smiled. "Another?"
"Riley-"
"No I'll pay, I have money." I said with a pout. "Please Matty, pretty please."
He gave me long stare before sighing. "I know I'm going to regret this."

"The groom's bride is a whore." I sang, giggling to myself. Matt shot me a look and I bit my lip to contain my giggles. I put on a straight face as he walked over.
"You're drunk."
"No." I paused and hiccuped. "I'm Riley."
"I didn't even give you that much to drink."
"I know so I asked him." I said, pointing at Steve, the other waiter. He waved and I waved back. "He has cute dimples."
Matt sighed, running his hand through his hair. "Riley my shift ends soon so I'll take you back to the Salvatore's."
"I don't want to go there." I whined, resting my head on my hand. "Please don't take me there."
"Why?"
"Because I don't want to see that Kai guy." I said. "He keeps acting like my boyfriend but I just met the guy."
Matt gave me a confused look, muttering something under his breath but I never heard it. "Just stay here Riley."
"Can I have another drink?" I asked, holding up my empty glass. "My glass is empty."
"No, you've drank enough."
I pouted and looked over at Steve. "Steve." I smiled as he looked over. "Can I have a refill please?"
"Sure thing, Riley." He replied, taking my glass.
"Thank you."
"Really?" Matt asked Steve. I looked down at the pile of napkin that I've made and blew it, watching the piece scattering around.
"Oh great." I lifted my head up Matt. He shook his head and glared.
"Well that isn't a pleasant introduction to customers is it Matty boy?" Kol said, taking a seat down next to me.
I rolled my eyes and he winked at me. "Hello Riley."
"Kol." I said, tearing a new napkin. "What do you want?"
Kol rolled his eyes. "Kitten."
"Don't call me that." I repeated for the millionth time. I frowned. "I'm not a cat, I don't have fur or a tail."
He laughed. "Is she intoxicated?"
"Yep." Matt said as Steve gave me my new drink. I thanked him and took a sip.
Kol ran his hand through his hair. "Well this isn't good." He said. "Riley, dear." I hummed, looking over at him. He smiled. "You're still gorgeous, even drunk."
"I'm not drunk." I said. "Matt is."
"Whatever you say Riley." He replied. "So I have a suggestion-"
"You leave me alone?"
Matt snorted a laugh, clearing a glass. Kol shot him a glare. "Kitten, you love me." He said. "But I was simply thinking that we start over."
"What?" I asked, sipping my drink.
"Like this." He held out his hand. "Nice to meet you, my name is Kol Mikaelson."
"Oh, I know a Kol." I smiled, shaking his hand. "Hi, I'm Riley. Nice to meet you."
Kol smiled. "So, tell me about yourself." I said, starting a conversation.
"Well, I'm an original vampire, about a thousand years old. Crazy good looking and charming." He replied with a wink, I giggled. "How about you, Riley?"
"I like this drink very much." I began. "And I have my bag Zeke umm.....I like this drink and pizza." I told him.
Kol smiled, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. "So, Riley. How about I take you out tomorrow night?"
"Can I have this drink?" I asked, showing him my glass.
He nodded. "Of course." He said, his hand trailing down my arm. "As many as you want."
I smiled. "Then I'll go."
"Perfect, I'll pick you up at eight kitten. Wear something casual." Kol kissed my forehead before leaving.
"You're actually going on a date with him?" Matt asked with a cringe. I looked at him.
"Well he promised me as many drinks as I wanted." I shrugged.
