《Son of the Dark (Male Sith Reader X Female Jedi)》Chapter 8: The Jedi Council

We had arrived in Coruscant in secrecy, a covert operation under the guise of the Jedi. I had arrived at the temple landing pad as two of their guards approached me. They both simultaneously activated their yellow lightsabers. Aleera stood just right behind me, holding her hands to her hips.
Guard: "Hark, Sith. Why don't you have cuffs on?"
(Y/N): "If I did, I'd still be out of them."
Aleera: "C'mon (Y/N) now is not the time to be smug."
(Y/N): "Fine then, get on with it."
Aleera smirked while rolling her eyes, motioning for me to follow.
I had personally never even seen what the Jedi Temple looks like, but looking at it now is an aesthetic astonishment. The halls had a plain yet sophisticated feel to it, no fancy decoration needed anywhere.
Guard: "Keep moving, monster."
The guard behind me snarled, I only grunted in response. Surprisingly Aleera let me keep my lightsaber when she captured me. A huge level of trust especially for a Jedi, we had begun to make it to the upper levels when we passed by a teacher and his younglings.
Youngling: "Who is that?"
One of them asked, the older Jedi made sure to step in front of him giving me a stern glare. Blocking the younglings from me, like I was about to cut down and slaughter all of them without a second thought.
Youngling 2: "The Force feels... wrong, around him."
(Y/N) "I'm not gonna hurt them, Master Jedi."
I stared back, Aleera sensed tension rising and urged me forward. The temple guard followed as the group of younglings walked in the opposite direction from us.
Aleera: "(Y/N) please no more confrontation, okay?"
She pleaded. I sighed.
(Y/N): "Fine..."
We eventually made it through the entire Jedi Temple before headed to the council room, passing multiple Jedi who gave me stares. Like that old teacher, some were out of spite, some were out of curiosity but most of all, fear. One of the guards already left us to attend to other duties before we came in, leaving one left to watch over me.
The three of us entered the large meeting room, which oversaw almost all of Coruscant in the dying sunlight.
Aleera: "Masters..."
She bowed in respect.
Aleera: "I hope I haven't kept you all waiting."

Yoda: "A problem, it is not. Young Viola. Come now."
The Grandmaster of the Jedi Order motioned, the Force was extremely strong around him. I sensed the concern all around me, Aleera stood by my side while the Temple Guard left the room. She looked at me with her green eyes, nodding slightly.
Yoda: "Young Sith, what is your name?"
Master Yoda asked. I saw no reason to be rude so I responded quickly.
(Y/N): "Darth (S/N)."
Windu; "The Sith had all been but destroyed centuries ago. We have no record of another one of Dooku's apprentices other than Asajj Ventress. So how is it you suddenly appeared almost out of nowhere?"
Mace Windu asked.
(Y/N): "I am the descendant of generations of Sith who served the ancient Sith Empire. Dooku found me after the Seperatists raided the planet I was living on. He told me all about the Clone Wars and offered me a position in his Droid Army."
Windu: "And you accepted it."
Said Captain Obvious.
(Y/N): "I had no other choice, there was no way I was gonna get out of Serenno alive so I took it."
Yoda: "Clouded by the Dark Side, you are not. Know, can I? How one can control the Dark Side with such mastery?"
(Y/N): "Grandmaster Yoda, with respect. The usage of the Dark Side does not make me evil."
Yoda: "Crave power you do, deep down. Know this I do, but do you?"
(Y/N): "Yes, I do have my... spontaneous moments. But, I'm no killer."
Obi-Wan: "I think Master Ar' Gai would beg to differ eh?"
Everyone else just stared at him, Obi-Wan cleared his throat, before shifting in his seat.
Obi-Wan: "Too soon?"
I snickered at this, drawing the attention back to me.
Windu: "It would seem so, Master Kenobi."
Windu assured, soon we were ushered out of the council room by the Temple Guard earlier who returned. It was only for a few minutes while the masters discussed my fate.
Aleera: "So, you were indoctrinated into the Way of the Sith?"
She asked curiously. I nodded back.
(Y/N): "Yes, one just needs to understand how to control it and what to use the Dark Side for. Whether it be for Self-Gain or Destruction."
Aleera: "Strange, my master taught me that selfishness is a path that can lead to destruction. You're the first Sith I've ever met and yet I sense you are fine with yourself."

She analyzed, stepping closer to me in interest.
(Y/N): "And yet look at me now, I'm not such a bad guy and I don't hate today's Jedi. I just don't like what the Order stand for, hypocrisy angers me."
Guard: "Quiet, please."
Aleera: "Um, Guard. I'd like some time to talk with him. Please."
Guard: "But he's a Sith, they're master manipulators, you are not turning this girl towards your perversion of the Force."
The guard pointed.
(Y/N): "So much of you Jedi forget that the Force is omniscient, it doesn't care whether Dark or Light prevails."
The Guard just finally grunted and muttered something before leaving. Probably pissed him off.
Aleera: "So, this hypocrisy? What of it?"
(Y/N): "The Jedi call for freedom and balance of the Force, yet they restrict members of the order and only sought tradition over logic. Plus they destroyed all aspects of the Dark Side and pretend that it only stands for evil. Yet again, I don't hate the Jedi. I just hate hypocrisy. I'm not an evil person, I'm as human as you are"
Aleera had her hand to her chin, nodding slightly to my explanation of being a Sith.
Aleera: "You know (Y/N), I must say I agree with you somewhat."
(Y/N): "Excuse me?"
Aleera: "I joined the Jedi Order, because when my mother discovered that I was Force-sensitive, she was overly proud of me. I was satisfied with myself as well because I wanted to be a hero, now I'm just one out of many feeling-less Jedi who speak for peace and fail to deliver..."
She sighed.
Aleera: "I honestly kind of feel like a failure... I'm supposed to be this wise person who helps stop as many deaths as I can, yet I feel lost sometimes."
(Y/N): "...I know how you feel..."
I didn't know why I let that out, it just seemed to slip. Not like me at all. She seemed surprised, her green eyes staring in broad curiosity.
Aleera: "What do yo-."
The door opened again, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi stood there, he ushered us back into the council room.
Obi-Wan: "Come in kids, let's not keep the rest of the council waiting."
(Y/N): "Of course, Master Jedi."
Aleera: "What's (Y/N)'s fate? Master Kenobi?"
He turned and gave her a slight shake of his head. Aleera and I knew what that meant. Why must they condemn me?
Yoda: "Darth (S/N), by a decision concluded from the Jedi Council. Imprison you we must. Know of you, the public cannot."
Aleera: "Master Yoda, surely we can pardon him somehow? Make him work for the Republic?"
Yoda: "Young Apprentice, sadly. Let him free, we must not."
Yoda solemnly shook his head, I felt the slight regret in his words.
Windu: "It's the most logical course of action to take, should the people of Coruscant know about you. Rumors may spring about the Jedi harboring an assassin of Count Dooku. We're sorry for this course of action, but right now it is the one that makes the most sense to take."
Ki-Adi Mundi: "He did kill Master Ar' Gai. He was also going to reinforce the coming Droid Attack on the Wookies, now we'll have to find a replacement."
I did not resist once the guards came in, I held hate. But not directed towards the Jedi. Hate for Dooku, for him finding me by chance on a rural planet and practically forcing me to join the Droid Army. I know I have to do something about it, but I knew no options. Perhaps the Force might will something in my favor...
There's an imbalance in the Force, I can't see exactly where it is. But it's there and must be eliminated.
Overlooking the vast city beneath brought a sense of security, but in times like these a threat as ample as this one cannot be ignored and swept under the rug. Tapping the table brought concentration, that eventually turned into a hunch. That hunch morphed into a vision, a young boy in a cell, the Force is strong with him, exceptionally strong.
Grinning as I had finally found out the location of this threat, I turned my hologram on, what came up was a figure that wore a trenchcoat and carried twin blasters, his brown hair swayed as he turned to look as his end of the hologram.
???: "Greetings bounty hunter, I would like to request an assassination fee. Your target is a young man in Coruscant's prime prison, I'll pay a large amount of credits for his elimination."
He thought about it, then grabbed his hat and straightened it up.
Bounty Hunter: "This'll be easy, I've done it before. Pleasure doing business again with you Chancellor."
Palpatine: "Indeed, indeed it is..."

Re: Dragonize
After an unexpected turn of events, Drew must now survive in a world full of challenges with life-or-death stakes. Gone are the days when the biggest problems to face were awkward small-talk at physics department luncheons or mountains of lab work; this former physicist is now adrift in an unfamiliar land without any equipment. Now, Drew's only tool (if it can be called that) is a System, which provides constant reminders of all of the things that are still out of reach for a low-level being who's just arrived in a new world. Luckily, Drew has one powerful asset when taking on the challenges of this new world: surviving violent conflict is a lot easier when you have the power of a dragon at your disposal. Still, Drew has always considered violence a last resort. Why turn to fists (or claws) when a bit of quiet consideration might expose a better path forward? Maybe a life of quiet contemplation is still within reach for this former academic researcher. ...Or maybe not. It probably won't be a life of bloodless pacifism. Additional information for those who wish to calibrate their expectations (I'm adding this based on a few comments I received from readers who feel that the story is not what they expected from a dragon-themed story): Re: Dragonize is not a power fantasy -- or at least, it's not intended to be one. Re: Dragonize is a progression fantasy starting with a protagonist who must start at the bottom (or close to it), and work gradually upwards, making incremental progress with plenty of setbacks along the way. The protagonist, as someone coming from the world of academia, tends to be cautious, methodical, and contemplative. As such, expect this story to contain more than a few digressions as the main character takes the time to pontificate on a variety of topics ranging from Newtonian physics and horology to the nature of existence and the ethical dilemmas associated with being an obligate carnivore.
