As the group pressed on, they came across a sign.
Ruby: well it seems we're going in the right direction! Mistral is through those mountains, while a village named, Kuroyoi.
Pyrrha: which way should we go?
Ren: That village was destroyed years ago.
Vader: I would recommend we go through the mountains, but...
He pointed at a storm gathering above.
Vader: That snowstorm would be problematic.
Qrow: We should loop through the village, it would take longer, but it would take longer if we try to risk the mountains.
The group agreed Nora and Ren looking at each other wearily, no one else noticing this but Ahsoka.
As the group continued walking, Ahsoka slowed down to talk with the two.
Ahsoka: When Vader mentioned the town, I could sense your anxiety, is something wrong?
Nora: What? No! We're fine...
Ren: The village was our village.
Ahsoka: I see... if you want, we can change direction if your not comfortable going that way.
Ren: No it's fine, we can swallow our emotions till we get through. Right, Nora?
Nora: Sure...
Ahsoka: All right.
Ahsoka then walked to the head of the party informing him of Ren and Nora, he nodded and they picked up the pace.
As they entered the town Vader spoke.
Vader: We will not be stopping, this village is uncomfortable for some people so we will continue and make camp once we're a considerable distance... away.
Vader's voice trailed off, he and Ahsoka sensing a disturbance in the force, Drawing their lightsabers they turned to face what was coming.
Jaune: What's happen - ?
They then heard the roar, making Ren and Nora's eyes widen. A claw slams into the ground, Din crouches grabbing his pulse rifle, while Vader and Ahsoka activate their lightsabers.
Ahsoka: You changed your color.
Vader: I purified it technically.
Then the beast rounded the corner, Ruby covered her mouth out of shock. It had a horse-like body with a human torso sticking out of its back.
Ren: The Nuckelavee.
Nora: It's back.
Maul and Oscar continued their walk, coming across a small village. As they walked through Maul sensed something.
Maul: I sense increased aggression from the residents of this village, why is that?
Oscar: Well in this world, there are humans and Faunus, human-animal hybrids, some humans are racist to them, treating them like animals, they must think you're a type of Faunus.

Maul: Hm.
People were standing on their porches staring at Maul and Oscar. Someone got brave and threw a bottle at Maul.
Man: Get out of our town!
Maul simply raised his hand, stopping the bottle mid-air, including the liquid that spilled out the top. Clenching his fist, the glass shattered and the liquid fell to the ground.
Maul turned and kept walking with Oscar trailing behind him. The townsfolk staring at them in shock.
Maul: if they try anything else I will respond with my own hostility. Now... what is our plan to get to Haven?
As they walked out of the town, Maul turned his head, seeing Oscar's eyes flash, signifying that Ozpin had resumed control.
Ozpin: We are currently walking towards a shipyard where there is free transport to Haven.
Maul: Very well.
Maul looked back at the town, narrowing his eyes, the townsfolk hiding out of fear.
Maul: Let's not waste any more time.
Vader: Din! Aim for its eyes!
Din: Which ones?! It has two heads!
Din said aiming from the horse head to the man's head, before firing at the horse's head. It neighed and reared itself back, using that, Vader and Ahsoka rushed forward, slicing off its back legs.
It fell over, using its front legs it stabilized itself, The arms became tentacles Vader sliced one, but it regenerated fast enough to smack him, using the other arm, Ahsoka used both her blades to defend herself but was eventually overpowered.
Nora: Ren?
Ren snapped out of his shock and looked over to see Nora holding his hand.
Nora: Are you alright? If you're scared it's alright.
Ren: No, it's just... (his eyes became filled with rage after remembering what the Grimm had done) I want to kill it.
A Raven and Crow flew overhead, with a puff of smoke, they both transformed back. Landing on the horse head, they stabbed their swords into the head. The Grimm roared in pain, Pyrrha ran forward, summoning a large sword with the maiden power, she sliced into the Grimm's body causing it to roar once again, a tentacle lashed out at Pyrrha, but it was stabbed by Jaune's sword.
Pyrrha: Thanks, love.
Pyrrha said quickly kissing Jaune on the cheek, causing him to blush, he was about to reply he was smacked by a tentacle sending him smashing into a ruined building, his aura shattered.

Pyrrha: Jaune!
Pyrrha was then smacked by another tentacle sending her flying back, sliding to a stop before Ren and Nora.
Ren: Come on.
Ren and Nora charged, Ren went straight to the beast while Nora ran over to Din who was still shooting the Grimm.
Nora: Din! Give me a boost?
Din: You sure?
Nora nodded, Din charged the end of his pulse rifle and touched her with it, she yelled as purple veins lit up around her body.
Nora: Thanks!
Nora slammed her hammer into the ground, exploding it, she launched towards the Grimm, spinning incredibly fast. Her hammer collided with the horse head, the momentum decapitating the monster.
The horse's body collapsed, causing the human portion to roar, as its legs and head began regenerating.
Nora: What?!
Ahsoka: It's regenerating!
Proving her point the Nuckaleeve stood back up using its legs. Ruby using her semblance she flew into the air, taking aim with her rifle she fired at its head. A tentacle shot up taking the bullet wound, it turned and Roared at Ruby.
Ruby: What? It's head! Aim for its head!
Din shot the eye of the Grimm, causing it to cover its wound with its tentacle. Ahsoka and Vader jumped at the same time, but both saw each other and froze not wanting to hurt each other, using this the Nuckaleeve hit both of them with its tentacles sending them to the ground.
Ren jumped on one of the tentacles, using the momentum, he launched toward the head, drawing a dagger, he stabbed into the head. Causing it to flail in pain launching him from the Grimm. Nora luckily caught him.
Vader focused his rage and unleashed a stream of lightning exploding the head. Ahsoka stared in shock before looking over to Vader with concern on her face.
Vader reached out with the force, pulling the dagger from the ground. Catching it, he walked over to Nora, who was setting down Ren.
Vader: I believe this is yours.
Ren: Thank you.
Nora: It's dead Ren.
Vader: Yes...good job killing it.
Vader replied, Ren, letting out a sigh of relief leaned on Nora who's face turned red but helped carry him.
Vader walked over to where Pyrrha was helping Jaune to his feet, repairing his aura with the force, Jaune was able to stand up by himself.
Vader: Alright, everyone else in stable condition? Good... let us continue.
Vader began to turn away from the billowing plume of smoke the large Grimm was emitting whilst it was disintegrating. Hearing a wiring noise above him, he placed a hand on his lightsaber but removed it when he saw the bullhead.
Pilot: Hey! Are you guys alright?
Ruby: How did you find us?
Pilot: The smoke, this village was abandoned long ago so we thought something was up. Wanna ride to mistral?
Vader: Yes.
The two pilots put the bullhead down, the group eagerly climbing aboard, all eight of them. As they relaxed into their seats, the pilots took off flying towards the city of Mistral.
Ren sat next to Nora, grabbing her hand she turned to him quizically.
Ren: Nora... Thank you for being there for me.
Nora only nodded and layed her head on his shoulder.
Maul: is this the ship yard?
Oscar: Uh... I don't know.
Ozpin took over Oscar making his eyes glow.
Ozpin: Yes, get in the ship in front of you.
Maul stepped into the ship first, then extended his hand to Ozpin who took it, he hoisted him into the ship.
Maul: Who owns this ship?
???: We do.
Maul turned around, seeing several Faunus he assumed, each wearing similar apparel.
???: Why are you on our ship?
Ozpin: This is a public ship.
???: Yeah well, we say it's ours. So, get. Off.
The white fang member said getting needlessly close to Maul. With a twitch of his hand, each Faunus was launched out the door as it was closing.
Maul: Now it is our ship.
Maul sat down in a chair, Ozpin sitting next to him as the ship launched, taking the two of them towards Mistral.

Black Meridian
Here's a fact about humans: They are intelligent, versatile creatures with a tendency for murder and vice. Zeta, a swordsman from a villa at the summit of Greenwich Mountain, has heard many stories about the "Sigma World," the colloquial term for any and all things superpowered in the world. He's also heard of the many tragedies, as well as the many wonders humankind has created in its history, even if he has yet to see it in person. Following the philosophy of his teacher, Gin Kagan, Zeta intends to become a "Servant of Humanity," in an endeavor to protect mankind from its gravest threats, from power-hungry sigma-users, but most importantly, from itself. He's going to need a lot of allies to pull that off, even if he doesn't understand that just yet. This story is originally published at www.sigmacentral.wordpress.com. Politics, war, looming apocalypse, a tiny dash of kingdom building, and a minor bit of crafting. There is a bit of a progression element as well as both environmental and cultural exploration. The story follows two youths more directly influenced by aforementioned Elder beings than most. Neither lead cares for politics but certain situations force them into participating, forcing them to make decisions that shape their morality.
