《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 17-Normal Again

I had to stay in the hospital for two more weeks. My body slowly adapted to the normal temperature again, and I regained my strength. My classmates visited me when they could, although they were busy with school. I knew I'd have a lot to catch up on, but I was happy to get back to training.
"You should be good to go." The nurse said as she took out my IV and heart rate cord.
I thanked her and tried to stand up from the bed. My legs were a little wobbly, but other than that I was fine. My mother walked with me to make sure I didn't fall, but I made it all the way to the car without tripping.
We went home and I went inside. It pretty much looked the same, except for the stack of papers on the counter. I guessed it was all the schoolwork they had sent home.
"I'm gonna go upstairs and get some rest." I told my mom.
She nodded and went off to the living room. I grabbed all the papers and went upstairs. I sat down at my desk and started to work on everything.
A few hours later, my mom called me down to eat. I put aside what I was working on, and headed downstairs. I sat down at the table.
"Are you feeling any better?" She asked as she served up the food.
I nodded.
"Have you taken a look at the work yet?" She asked.
"Yeah, I started it." I told her.
We began eating. We talked a bit more, and I finished my food. I took care of my dishes and went back upstairs. I continued to work on everything.
After a while, I started to get tired. I looked out the window and realized it was already pretty dark out. I put everything away and changed into something more comfortable to sleep in. As I laid down, I thought about what would happen tomorrow. I slowly drifted to sleep and the world became a black abyss of dreams.

I woke up to my mother calling me.
"Y/n! Wake up! It's time for school!" She yelled up the stairs.
I grumbled and rolled over in the bed, but I miscalculated the distance and hit the floor.
"Ow!" I exclaimed.
I sat up and rubbed my head.
"Are you up?!" My mother called.
"Yeah!" I yelled back.
I got up and got ready.
"Hurry up!" My mom yelled.
I sighed and finished shoving everything in my bag. I ran downstairs.
"Bye Mom! See you later!" I called before grabbing a piece of toast and leaving.
I rushed out the door and hurried down the sidewalk. I saw Ura waiting at the corner for me.
"Hi y/n! Ready for school?" She asked.
"Yep! I finished almost all of my work last night, so hopefully it'll be enough to get me through the day." I responded.
"That's good! We've been a lot of training lately though, so you'll probably have to catch up in that too." She added.
I nodded. We kept talking as we walked to the school. I was happier and didn't think about everything bad that had happened.
It was good to be back.
