As I expected, he started off with an ice blast. I easily dodged it tried to counter with my own blast of ice. It didn't really go in one direction, but more formed around me.
"You're getting better with your ice." He said.
I shrugged.
He sent another blast and I dodged again. I increased the moisture in the air and it make it so it was foggy. He couldn't see me.
"You should really use your fire." I said as I appeared behind him.
He started to turn around, but I was faster. I sent him off balance with a blast of water and then froze him.
"I could burn this whole forest down." He said as he melted my ice.
"And I could put it out." I responded.
I heard an explosion off in the distance.
"I feel bad for whoever Bakugo's partner is." I said.
Todoroki nodded. He had unfrozen himself.
"Again." He said.
We both got into position again. He started with another ice blast, it was faster than the one before. I met it with my own ice blast. This time it was more directed at him. He tried freezing me again, but I was smarter. I jumped and used my clouds to propel me forward. I twisted in the air and ripped off a piece of ice from his blast. I landed behind him and he turned around as I regained my balance. I held the sharp ice shard to his neck.
"When did you learn acrobatics?" He asked.
"At least I'm utilizing all of my quirk." I countered.
He narrowed his eyes.
"You really want me to use my fire?" He asked.
"I'm giving this my all, I think you should too. Besides, it's already two to zero. You'd better pick up the pace if you want to beat me." I told him.

"Fine. Let's go again." He said.
I retreated back to my original position.
Once again he started with an ice attack, but this time it wasn't aimed directly at me. There were two walls of ice formed on either side of us. I guess he didn't want me dodging what was coming.
Suddenly, he sent a blast of fire at me. I didn't think he had listened to what I said, but this wall of fire was headed directly for me. I made a split decision and sent a blast of water to counter. The air around us hissed as the two elements collided. The fire roared stronger, but so did my water. We both kept at it, but neither of us gained the upper hand.
"You're getting...stronger..." Todoroki said through clenched teeth.
"Same...to you..." I responded while trying not to lose focus.
I started to lose strength. The fire advanced inch by inch. I knew I couldn't take any more of this. My water faltered and I quickly put up a wall of ice to stop the fire from burning me. I heard the roaring flames die down and tried to take deep breaths.
"Are you ok y/n?" Todoroki called over the ice.
"Y-Yeah. I just need a little break." I tried to be heard over the icy wall.
I sank to my knees and tried to control my breathing. I heard leaves crunching as he walked around the wet and icy mess we had made. I saw him turn around the corner.
"You might have won this one, but you won't ever again."

Who Fixes Books Anyway?
On the pretense of a raise, the relatively new employee Pernie is called in to talk with her superiors. NOTE: This is a short story written for a class I took recently. As a result of deadlines, it does not possess the quality (or length) that I would like and is rather thrunkated. Perhaps sometime far in the furture I'll fix it up. For now, I have much more important things to work on, such as my other fiction.
