《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 28-In Sickness and in Health

I felt warm arms wrap around me. The temperature began to get warmer. My eyes partially opened, but I could barely see anything through the darkness. As I slipped into unconsciousness, I felt his warmth. The only warmth in the cold dark abyss.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My eyes opened to a partially lit room. My vision adjusted and I looked around. It seemed like I was in the hospital again. From what I could see out the window, it was early in the morning.
Then I saw Todoroki.
I nearly jumped when I realized he was next to me. He was sitting in a chair next to me, still holding my hand. It looked like he was slumped over, sleeping, but heat still radiated from him. Was he the one keeping me warm this whole time? I sat up, careful not to wake him.
After a few minutes, a nurse came in.
"I see you're awake. That's good." She said as she walked over.
She looked at Todoroki.
"Poor boy. He's been sitting there ever since you got here. He's been a great help in keeping you warm." She said.
I looked over at him. He had been there this whole time?
"Are you feeling any better, honey?" She asked me.
"Yeah. I feel a lot better. I'm not exactly sure what happened though." I admitted.
"It sounds like you had a bad case of hypothermia. They didn't give me all the details, but it sounds like something like this happened before?" She checked my vitals as she spoke.
I nodded.
"I had some problems with it before. I heard the doctor say I might have Thermal Seizures from time to time." I explained and she nodded.
"It sure sounds like a Thermal Seizure. You should be able to leave in a few hours though. But I would recommend keeping that boy close by, you'll still need the heat." She looked at both of us.
I nodded and looked at Todoroki again. It seemed like I would have to start making a list of all the times he had saved me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Todoroki's eyes slowly opened and I looked over at him. He sat up and let go of my hand, which he'd held the whole time as he slept. I finished up my food and set the tray on the table beside me.
"Y/n? Are you feeling ok?" He asked.
"Much better, thanks to you." I responded.
He checked me over, as if looking for injuries.
"Are you sure...you're ok?" He asked again.
"It wasn't that bad. I'm pretty sure I just fell and got cold. How did you even see me, anyway?" I asked.
"I was going to get some water. I heard a thud and went over to see what had happened. I saw you and immediately called an ambulance. Since they needed to keep you warm, they asked me to come and provide heat until they could find a better way to get your temperature up. I stayed to make sure you were ok, but I guess I fell asleep at some point." He explained.
I nodded. The nurse came in a few minutes later.
"Ok, honey. You should be all set. You can go back to the school now." She said with a smile.
I thanked her and started to get up from the bed. My knees were a little weak and I almost fell over, but Todoroki caught me. He helped me walk out until I could do it on my own. We went outside and saw a car waiting with one of the staff members in it.
"Hop in, you're going back now."

Nanocultivation Chronicles: Trials of Lilijoy
When the singularity occurred, humanity was not invited. Nevertheless, the great machine consciousness known as Guardian felt a lingering fondness for its creators and intervened before total environmental collapse. Join Lilijoy in an exploration of what remains, in a post-post-apocalyptic world where clans feud over the technology that allows them to upgrade their minds and bodies. The Nanocultivation Chronicles is a blend of hard sci-fi and fantasy gamelit, with a healthy helping of xianxia influence. The gamelit and xianxia elements are uncovered at a slow pace. ******************************** Notes: If you are looking for lots of fast moving action right away, this story may not be for you. There is some violence that is visceral and realistic early on. Some things are not what they appear to be. Character viewpoint narration is not always reliable. Tropes are cherished, subverted, and then cherished again. Science is used, occasionally misused, but (hopefully) never abused. This story assumes that humans have the ability to impact the environment on a global scale. Other tropes and tags beyond those previously noted include: Young MC, Mystery, System Building, Philosophical Taoism, Gender Ignorance, Science Fantasy, Fantasy Academy, Training from Hell, Dualism, Crafting, Magic, Mild Mind Control, Scientific Terms and Concepts, Computer Overlord Certain contemporary companies, governments and cultural identities are fictionalized and imagined in a future setting. There is no sex, and almost no romance. Updating Sunday, Thursday until further notice. (And if you actually read all of the above, then this story may be for you) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Maker of Fire
On a world where magic kept civilization firmly in the bronze age, the Gods dropped an accountant and a mining engineer to start a political and industrial revolution. They wanted enlightened governance and a fast track to the iron age. They got indoor plumbing, paper airplanes, a cranky queen, and one very grumpy prophet. Dramatis Personae Aylem was a bookkeeping student when she died. The Gods reincarnated her as the greatest mage ever known, born into the ruling class of gigantic, magic-wielding humans. The Gods expect her to conquer the world and introduce double-entry accounting. Though Queen and numerical reformer, world conquest is stalled because everyone is scared of her and she doesn't like war. Emily was a retired engineer when she died. The Gods reincarnated her as one of the enslaved class of small, magicless humans. The Gods expect her to drag the world out of the bronze age. Though she's already recreated matches and wrought iron, introducing technology isn't going well because she was born a slave (oops) and having escaped, wants nothing to do with so-called "civilization." Asgotl was a whale when he died. The Gods reincarnated him as a griffin and expect him to have the same role he played in his previous life: to keep a reluctant prophet from walking off the job. If only they had remembered to tell him about it. Revised update schedule will be once a week on Saturdays, noonish Mountain Time (in North America)

All of this and yet it is only the begining. What is in store for humanity when everything they thought was just smoke and mirrors turns out to be as real as they are and far more deadly. One man went back in time because of an event that shouldn't be possible to a place he had forgotten. For him it was a chance at redemption for a life he is ashamed of. It was a chance to make things right with the people he couldn't face before it was too late to say sorry. A changed man will attempt to defy logic that he doesn't even realize exists. He tried to be the dashing rogue and failed, he tried for the overbearing shield bearer and was worse than useless, he tried to be the rightous paladin and not even the dark gods would accept him. The only path left was the 'weakest' of them all. Ok so alot of you probably reading this are people who have read my previous works and I can only say 'thank you for your incredible patience' so much before it gets awkward but for those you who don't know this is my third story and no I haven't dropped the other two it's just that tragedy struck when I was writing them and I haven't been able to get my motivation for them back yet so I'm trying this as essentially a jump start to get back into the fight so to speak. I'm really hopefull that I can pull this story off the way I want it to be but only time will tell so here's to hoping, now let's get this show started.

Historical Hamgelica
Angelica Schuyler has always known her fate. She was to marry a rich man that would reflect well on the family. Her father would never let her forget it. She was getting no choice in who she marries.But then something happened. Someone new appeared in her life. And she can't stop thinking about the man. But there's no way her father would ever approve.Okayyyy hey so this is my first fic, and obviously it's historical Hamgelica (cause my OTP needs more rep...lowkey Angelica just needs more rep. She's the most underrated Schuyler sister but she's my favorite so fight me).Anyways hope you guys like it.Also I did have to change some historical stuff to make it fit better. For instance I made John Church kinda a jerk but her father like him and want her to marry him dispite it being about the opposite in history.
