《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 30-Start of the Festival

The rest of the week passed by in a blur. More training, and more classes. I learned new techniques and improved my control a little, but nothing too substantial. Everything went by so fast, and before I knew it, it was the morning of the Sports Festival.
I hadn't gotten much sleep, and ended up wandering downstairs at about 5am. I walked into the common room and saw that a few people were actually sitting together and talking, Mina and Ura included. I sat down with them.
"You're up too, y/n?" Ura asked.
I nodded.
"I couldn't get any sleep! I just couldn't stop thinking about the Sports Festival today!" Mina said.
"I know. It feels so surreal doesn't it?" Ura agreed.
We all talked together until more people started to come down.
"In the mood for breakfast?" I asked.
"Maybe you won't burn half of it this time." Ura joked.
"Like you would do any better." I rolled my eyes.
We both laughed, we liked to argue just a little bit sometimes.
"There's some frozen waffles in the freezer, so I might just toast some of those for everybody." I said.
Ura nodded. I went into the kitchen and got the waffles out of the freezer. I started heating some up for anyone who wanted one.
"Thank you y/n." Iida sat down to eat.
"No problem." I smiled.
We all sat down and ate together, talking and laughing and trying to shake off the nervousness for the upcoming event. After a while, we got up and a few people took care of the dishes. The rest of us left to get ready. I changed into my PE uniform and headed down to the arena with Ura.
"I guess this is it." I said as we neared the student entrance.

Ura nodded.
"This'll be a big moment. I guess we just have to try our best!" She said cheerfully.
I smiled and nodded. We walked in together and headed over to our waiting area. There were students from other classes as well as our own gathered there. We walked over to talk with Iida, Tsu, and Izuku.
"Nervous?" I asked them.
"I'll probably break more bones..." Izuku replied.
"I hope I do well." Tsu said.
"We will all do our best." Iida waved his arms around.
I nodded. We talked for a little longer until we were called into the arena. Midnight talked for a while and then I was surprised that Bakugo had volunteered to speak. But then of course he just made a speech that seemed to fit his ego perfectly, after all he only announced that he would beat everyone. We were told to line up at the start, and people jostled for positions. I didn't really care where I started from, but I ended up being pushed towards the front anyway. Present Mic was talking about the obstacle course but I didn't pay much attention, I was mostly focused on not getting elbowed in the stomach. I thought I saw Ura for a second, but then someone else blocked my view. I saw Midnight on the podium, it looked like the race was about to start.
"On your mark...get set...go!"

My guild was transported to another world, but I'm just the Illusionist Enchanter
Skyforge, the virtual reality game of the 22nd century. The NPCs were mostly boring cookie cutter characters, but at least the political and military aspects were amazing. A great guild could build their base any way they wished, take over territories by converting the landstones and lead great armies in massive wars - or wager everything in the great arena. Well, but I'm just an enchanter with a secondary illusion skill tree. In other words, I'm totally dependent on my guild. But since thanks to this guild I could play the way I wish I don't mind. After we were all sent to another world I kind of regretted not being able to play god with the others.
