《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 31-Obstacle Course

"On your mark...get set...go!" Midnight exclaimed.
People immediately began to rush forward. I was pushed and shoved and finally decided to just float above everyone else using the cloud part of my quirk. Todoroki froze the robots ahead of us, but I immediately saw through his plan. I dropped to the ground and refroze them so no one would get crushed. I kept running and got to the vast chasm. I made a flat path of ice to cross but it broke into pieces a few moments later. Thankfully, no one else was on it when it fell. I kept running and didn't stop to look at the students behind me. I saw Todoroki and Bakugo ahead of me, and kept going faster. I came to the minefield and immediately knew what to do. I let my water rush ahead of me, short-circuiting all the bombs in my path. I was almost to the end when I saw Izuku soar over the entire coarse. I grumbled, knowing he would get there before me. He did, but I kept running. I reached the finish and skidded to a stop. I had been running on pure adrenaline, and my lack of breath had finally caught up to me. I doubled over, gasping. Todoroki finished right behind me, and then Bakugo. The rest of the students trickled in, and we were directed to the middle. I caught my breath and stood with everyone else. Ura saw me and came over.
"Nice job y/n!" She congratulated me.
"You were awesome too." I smiled.
"All right contestants. You made it through the first round, but now you have to battle head to head! You must pick partners to battle with against other groups. For this event, you have to take headbands from the other teams to earn points. The headband's point value is determined by the place you finished in the obstacle course. The first place headband is worth ten million points. The other values will be listed on the board and on your headbands. Choose your teams wisely, only the first four teams will advance." She explained.

People almost immediately began to form teams. I was suddenly glad I hadn't come in first for the obstacle course, it didn't seem like anyone wanted to be with Izuku because of his point value. Suddenly someone came up behind me.
"Y/n?" Todoroki asked.
I quickly turned around to face him.
"Oh gosh, you scared me." I said to him.
"Will you join my team for the cavalry battle?" He asked.
"Yeah, sure." I replied.
We also recruited Iida, Kaminari, and Momo before we assembled as a group. Todoroki began to explain the plan to us.
"Kaminari, I need you to use your electricity to attack and distract the other teams. Don't exceed your limit though. Yaoyorozu, I need you to handle defense, watch our backs and make sure we keep our headbands. I also need you to make roller-skates so we can keep up with Iida. I think your job is pretty obvious Iida, but we need you to handle transportation. Y/n, I want you to follow my attacks. Help Yaoyorozu and Kaminari, but back up my ice attacks." He explained.
We all nodded and got into formation. Midnight came onto the podium again.
"And now, let the Calvary Battle begin!"
