《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 57-Back Home

I woke up to the sound of talking throughout the room.
I must've fallen asleep again after the doctor left. I tired to sit up but immediately regretted it as pain shot through my body. I winced and stayed down. Todoroki, Midoryia, and Iida were all up now, and looked over as they heard me moving around.
"Are you feeling ok, y/n?" Todoroki asked.
I nodded.
"I'm just glad we're all alive. I wasn't sure what I would wake up to when I passed out in that alleyway, or if I would wake up at all." I responded.
They nodded. There was no way we'd forget the pain and trauma we'd gone through. Even though I wasn't there for all of it, just hearing about it gave me shivers.

A week has passed since I first woke up in the hospital.
The police had come in and talked to us about the situation. We had agreed to stay silent to avoid punishment, although Todoroki got a little riled up about it at first.
One by one, the others left the hospital. Their injuries weren't as bad as mine so they left earlier. First Iida, and then Todoroki, and then finally Midoryia. Todoroki said he would go back to the internship and Endeavor, which left me to wonder what they were doing while I was still stuck here. Midoryia apologized about me having to stay alone for the remainder of my hospital stay as he left.
Thanks to Stain, the rest of what would've been my internship was spent recovering from multiple stab wounds and broken bones. Recovery Girl came every day, to try and heal me, but I only had so much energy. She was actually surprised at my lack of willpower and excessive tiredness.
The rest of the class wasn't allowed to visit me, so I spent most of my days sleeping, eating, and healing. When I was finally permitted to leave, it was already Sunday. I was taken back to the dorms where everyone else was back from their internships. That was how I ended up standing in front of the door, ready to go inside.

I opened it slowly and stepped inside. I saw Ura and Mina sitting in the common room together, talking. It was later in the evening, but I went over and sat down with them.
"Hey y/n! Wow it feels like it's been so long since I last saw you!" Ura exclaimed as I took my seat.
I nodded, still tired from finishing my healing today.
"Oh wow. You look really bad. Like ready to pass out bad." Mina pointed out.
Ura elbowed her and sent her a glare. I just sighed. I didn't really blame Mina for the blunt observation, she was probably right after all.
"It's fine. I probably do. It was...a rough week." I sighed.
"I can imagine. I mean, especially since you were working with Endeavor." Ura replied.
Not exactly, but I didn't correct her. I didn't want to have to explain everything to them, or in other words the lie the Chief of Police had given us to tell.
Mina and Ura struck up a conversation about how their internships went. I just listened for the most part, but would throw in an occasional question or remark.
It was nice to be back.
