"That worked—"
Those words came out so softly yet it was full of excitement and enthusiasm. Taehyung looked up at Jeongguk who seemed to be just as happy as he was cause he was smiling back at him while he nodded furiously.
"Well, it did. It had to cause I taught you," he said, of course joking at which the older rolled his eyes however that smile still plastered on his lips, "No, because it was me doing the spell, dumdum."
"Okay so I really hope it works on my own scar," Taehyung said hoping to hell that this works and he gets rid of what reminds him of his horrible self in the past, the weak Kim Taehyung who wasn't there anymore cause he was so strong now and he knew how better he was and he was so proud.
"Go on, try." Jeongguk encouraged.
"With you staring at me like a hawk? No thanks." Taehyung huffed, looking away.
"Though it's alright however what really matters is your comfort, so now that you learnt the spell, you can go back and try it," the blond patted his back and Taehyung just wondered if Jeongguk was alright because he couldn't somehow believe that this is the same Jeon Jeongguk.
"Okay so now that we are friends and somehow you know this secret, it's not weird if you see me doing this but yeah don't you dare say anything, okay?"
"Yes, okay."
Seeing Jeongguk with his lips pressed together just to exaggerate the fact that he ain't gonna say anything to interrupt, Taehyung finally held his wand up.
Trying to clear his mind, he closed his eyes.
But all he could think of was all the moments from the past, the flashes of himself doing this, cutting his delicate, tan skin— he could picture himself so clearly.
With these vivid memories running around his mind, he couldn't focus well but still tried hard and cast that spell.
Jeongguk was anticipating the scar to disappear but nothing that sort happened as the spell didn't work at all this time.

"Try again." Jeongguk spurred.
"Yeah."
With that, Taehyung tried again, "Malalia hummus!" but again it was a failure.
That broke the brunet's heart as he already gave up and threw the wand on the bed only to face palm, not wanting to see the other his glassy eyes.
"Hey, it's alright, you can't master this in one day, go back. Just practice more and you will get this done soon." Jeongguk said with a soft smile on his mouth and Taehyung just nodded, still covering his face.
"Listen, Taehyung. I don't think it's anything else than just your thoughts, you can't just forget that incident and that's what's holding you back," Jeongguk explained, trying to reach out for the other's hand but retracted the moment, Taehyung pulled them down from his face.
"I think so too," the older one muttered under his breath, "Then most probably I can never do this because there isn't a single day I didn't think about this."
"No, you ca—" Jeongguk's sentence was cut off by the other abruptly in the middle.
"Do it for me."
"What? No, you said you wanted to do that." Jeongguk denied,. shaking his head sidewise while his eyes widened at the request.
"I wanted to do this myself but what I want more is this to be gone and that night Jeongguk, our circumstances were different and today they are favourable, so please," Taehyung scooted a little closer and Jeongguk stared at him in his eyes.
"Sure?"
"Just do it, arsehole." Taehyung giggled and blinked causing the other to see those fat tears rolling down his squishy, rosy cheeks. He wanted to wipe them away but no, he didn't because he thought, he still didn't get the right to do that, they still had a long way to go.
"Stay calm," Jeongguk spoke, grabbing his own wand laying beside the pillow and glanced at Taehyung who was looking at the scar on his right hand.
Jeongguk hold the other's hand and didn't waste any time and cast the spell that caused the older to squeeze his eyes shut.

"Malalia hummus!"
Taehyung opened one of his eyes and peeked from under his eyelid only to see the scar gone.
It was just plain tan skin and he didn't know how much less heavier it felt. He looked up at the younger who was smiling so hard that his bunny teeth were on display.
"Gone forever."
"Yeah, it is gone forever." Jeongguk repeated after, caressing the skin where the scar was supposed to be and then peeped at Taehyung who smiled, "Thank you, Jeongguk."
"No, thank you, Kim Taehyung."
There was a moment of silence between them as they both were looking everywhere other than each other. Things changed but none of them had any complaints at the moment.
"This sudden change is kind of hard to believe but it is certainly true and I am happy that we are on better terms now." Taehyung was the one to speak first and break the silence.
"No, this ain't a clickbait so you don't have to worry about all of these being a horrible prank or something because I wouldn't dare," the younger one clarified as he already got the hint that Taehyung was still doubtful of everything and this new start won't work out if he still holds onto his doubts.
"Yeah, I am trusting you so don't you ever, like ever break it cause this is the first and last time I would do that." Taehyung said, getting his fist out for a bro fist and Jeongguk laughed giving him what he wanted.
Even though, they settled but still they didn't have any issue to talk about, both of them thought about starting a new conversation as this silence was killing them and was also kind of uncomfortable.
"Are you hungry—?" Jeongguk suddenly asked, his eyes boring into his pajamas that had bananas printed on them.
"I, uh not really but also yes?" Taehyung replied, scratching his nape while he let out a nervous chuckle.
"I mean won't mind getting something down my throat, wait that sounds— okay you know what I mean!" Taehyung laughed internally berating himself for the arrangement of words he chose to use.
"I have wafer rolls."
"Yeah,"
"Please, we are so awkward, I—" Jeongguk laughed so loudly at this and Taehyung joined, "I know right."
"What was that? 'Are you hungry?' That's so awful Jeongguk, you suck." Taehyung mocked imitating the tone Jeongguk had while he asked that.
"At least I tried, you just sat there in silence."
"Please I prefer silence over that dumb question like it's fucking half an hour past two in the morning and you ask that—"
"Shush, I tried and that's what matters."
"Okay but no I am not hungry."
"Anyways, tell me what's the most horrible thing I ever did to you?" Taehyung added and Jeongguk didn't have to even think twice as he remembered that incident.
"It was your fault,"
"Yes but that doesn't mean you would roast my dick. That was just on another level. Holy Pishogue!" Jeongguk laughed after and threw himself on the bed while his legs were dangling down the edges.
"Your dick is perfectly fine, ain't it?"
"Yeah, I guess so?" Jeongguk said turning to his right side and looked up at the other who sat close, "Whatever we did in the past was so dumb but at least we are good now." Jeongguk whispered, giving the brunet a small smile that earned him one back as well.
"But still we have a long way to go, right Jeon?"
"Yeah, we do. This is the just the beginning."
Again silence.
Damn, they again felt that loss of words and this was kind of getting annoying.
"I will get going then, need some sleep, these past days had been so stressful honestly," Taehyung pulled himself to.his feet and Jeongguk sat up as well, "Yeah get some rest, Kim."
"I will, you too. Bye, arsehole."
