Alam kong nahihirapan ka na
At hindi mo kailangang lumaban mag-isa
Alam kong ayaw mo nang mahirapan pa
Bakit hindi ka pumikit at kausapin siya
Magtiwala ka
Hindi ka niya iiwan tulad ng iba
Nandito rin ako at sosoportahan kita
Hindi ko sasabihing tumahan ka na
Dahil alam kong hindi mo na kaya at ang sakit-sakit na
Ayos lang na umiyak ka
Ayos lang kung napapagod ka na
Pero sana lumaban ka
Huwag mo nang intindihin ang sinasabi ng iba
Hindi mo kailangang patunayan ang sarili mo sa kanila
Dahil hindi lahat ay naiintindihan ka
Huwag kang magpaapekto sa kanila
Tandaan mo na ang sarili mo ang pinaka mahalaga
Kapag kailangan mo ng kasama
Nandito lang ako
Hindi ka nag-iisa
Sasamahan kita

Keiran's brother disappeared through a bright flashing light when he was younger. Years later, trapped in the inferno of a castle under siege, his only escape is rushing towards a similar light. He finds himself in a cold dark prison cell. His captures are aliens that kidnap lesser beings and force them to fight in an arena for their amusement. Those that show promise are injected with nanobots to create stronger combatants for more entertaining games. How will he get back home, and more important. Is his brother still alive? I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to read my work. Everything posted here is mostly the first draft for a book that I am work on. When complete it will have between 30-40 chapters & roughly 70k words. I'm very new to writing so hopefully over time you will see an improvement. This is also a side hobby so new chapters may be slow I"m sorry. Work and my family take priority. Thanks again for your time and please leave feedback as that helps me improve my writing.

[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] "You have to survive, Adam. You have to win." This is not a story starring Mary, because Mary is already dead. She bled out on her front doorstep following a sudden three-day absence. Seven years have passed, with her little brother—Adam—now standing at eighteen years of age. Following his sister's death, he lived the life of a delinquent, wandering the grimy streets of the city of Steeldale. All it amounted to was years of street fighting experience, no proper home and an uncertain future at a second-rate university. Unbeknowst to him, the day before university, he will be thrust from Steeldale into a brand new world. It is a world where a cherry red sky gazes down upon a fragmented continent, on which civilisations from other worlds have been dumped like refuse. The souls of man leak from their fingertips, coalescencing into superhuman powers and horrible fleshy monstrosities. Tribes of refugees clash against each other, attempting to carve out a place in this unrefined space. With no choice, Adam must traverse this dangerous new world, with Mary's shadow following him every step of the way. This is my entry to the April 2021 Writathon. Do they side with the insane god escaping the organic clockwork of Death, the god who wants to destroy that evil, or perhaps, a third option? Content Warning: This will depict substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, and will likely become an ongoing list of content advisories. This is going to be an adventure-centric story, not a battle fantasy. It's got elements of LitRPG and standard isekai, but not for the MC. He's got a different path to follow, one without power-leveling and harems.
