《His Precious Girl》Chapter Seventeen

The next morning I woke up to kisses being pressed all over my face. I stirred and opened my eyes to see Lee smiling at me.
"Good morning Precious."
"Morning." I mumbled and cuddled back in his chest to sleep some more.
He softly chuckled and ran his hand through my hair.
"I think you got a text message." He said while playing with my hair.
I turned around to grab my phone that was laying next to me and checked it.
I looked at the time and realized it was 8:34 and mom was leaving at 9:15 for her shift.
"I have to go home." I groaned and Lee frowned.
"What why?" He whined and I explained to him.
"Can't you at least have breakfast here?" He asked and I shook my head.
"No or else I'll be late." I said with a pout and he smiled and kissed my lips.
"Okay I'll drop you off after we're both ready." He said and we got out of bed.
After we got dressed and freshened up we made our way downstairs when something caught my eye.
I looked at the half open door of Kai's room to see that the sleeping bag on the ground was abandoned and that both boys were sleeping on the bed cuddling.
My heart warmed at the adorable sight.
"You coming?" Lee asked from the stairs and I snapped out of it and followed him down.
Once Lee started the car he settled his hand on my thigh just like last night and I smile putting my hand over his.
"Did you have fun?" He asked while rubbing circles with his thumb.
"Yeah you're family is great. And Kai and Nicolas are so adorable." I said and he nodded with a smile.
"Yeah I'm glad they found each other. Kai usually never brings friends over and only plays with a few kids at school so seeing him so close with another kid was good. And Nicolas seems so shy but he's really protective of Kai too and I'm glad someone's ready to throw punches for my little brother." He said and I hummed in agreement.
After a couple of minutes of us talking we arrived at my house. Lee gave me a toe curling kiss before telling me to text him and left with a smirk on his face while I was red as a tomato.

"Hey mom." I said as I entered the house and sat across from her.
She slid the envelope to me and I curiously opened it.
I blinked at the invitation card before looking at my mom.
"I'm sorry mom..." I whispered and grabbed her hand.
"It's okay. That's why they came to the house the other day right? To tell you about the wedding?" Mom asked.
"Yes." I said. They did come for the wedding but I wasn't about to tell her he proposed right here.
"Are you going to go?" She asked me getting up and setting her dishes in the sink.
"I don't know." I replied.
"You should sweetheart. This is your father and you should be there to share that moment with him." My mom said with a small smile.
I knew she was hurting inside but she would never let me know. It had been four years but she had loved dad more than she had even loved herself and he broke her heart.
"Okay." I nodded and my mom smiled hugging me.
"I have to go now I'll see you tonight." She said.
"Okay see you later." I replied and she left.
I ate breakfast and as I was about to go to my room my phone buzzed.
I was shocked to see Mira actually texting me after I gave her my number in class the other time.
Just as I sent the text the doorbell rang. I went to open the door to see Mira.
I stared shocked at her appearance. She was wearing a simple black dress that was wrinkled and her makeup was smudged. Her eyes were red and puffy I wonder if it was the hangover or if she was crying. Her hair was all over the place and she was holding heels in her hand. I glanced at her feet to see they had a few scratches.
"What the heck happened to you?" I asked as I ushered her in.
"Party last night. It was crazy." She shrugged and I narrowed my eyes.
"Where did you stay last night? And did you walk here?" I asked as we sat down.
"I passed out drunk there and I got a ride from a friend. I came here cause obviously I wasn't going to go home like this." She said.

"I'll get you some clothes and you can shower" I said.
"Thanks." She nodded at me.
I got her a pair of leggings and a sweatshirt and gave it to her along with a clean towel.
I went back downstairs to make her some light breakfast for her hangover and grabbed some aspirin.
Twenty minutes later she came back looking much better but her eyes were still red.
"Are you okay?" I asked and she nodded.
"Here take this and then eat with some food." I told her.
"You didn't have to but thank you." She said swallowing the aspirin.
After she ate she said she had to go and left in a hurry. I had a feeling something happened at that party but she wouldn't tell me.
I decided to text Anissa asking her how the party was.
I was confused.
From Mira's state I had imagined that last nights party would have been completely crazy but from what Anissa said it was only the soccer boys who got extra crazy.
I sighed and decided to just let the matter go since there was no point overthinking.
On Monday when I walked into school I stopped dead in my tracks at the sight before me.
The guy who was supposed to be suspended was at school having a heated arguments with Mira.
They were both getting angry and as the creepy guy approached Mira. I fastened my steps to get to them.
Just as Mira was about to push or punch him I grabbed her arm and pulled her to me.
"Hey I need to talk to you about something." I said with a cheery smile than proceeded to look at the guy.
"Sorry for interrupting but I really need her." I said with my brightest smile and pulled her away.
"What was that?" I asked her once we were a safe distance from the guy so he could no longer see us.
"None of your business." She snapped and walked away.
I ignored the hurt from her words and glanced back at the guy. He stormed out of the school with clenched fist and I gulped.
"Hey precious." Lee suddenly appeared next to me.
"You good?" He asked looking at my expression.
"Yeah." I told him. "Do you know the name of the guy that got suspended?"
"Vincent. Why?" He asked me with suspicious eyes.
"Just curious I never really saw him around until that fight." I didn't want to lie to Lee but I also wasn't going to tell him about Mira without even knowing the full story myself.
"He skips a lot so that's probably why." Lee informed me and I nodded.
"Can we stop talking about another guy now?" Lee whined and I chuckled.
"You have gym right?" I asked glancing at his gym bag and he nodded.
"Well you should go since the bell is going to ring . I'll see you at lunch." I told him.
"Okay fine." He grumbled and I laughed.
He wrapped his arm around my waist and pressed his lips against mine. After a few seconds he pulled away and smiled. I looked around to make sure no one was looking since I wasn't a fan of PDA and I kissed him again.
"Bye." I said once I pulled away and he beamed at me.
"See you later precious."
When Lunch came around I was stuffing my books into my lockers while Anissa was talking about how the teacher almost gave her detention.
"She said what?" Marcus asked as he and Lee came to us just as Anissa said how the teacher insulted her.
"She called me a stupid misbehaved teenager just cause I told her she keeps making mistakes correcting my SA." Anissa rolled her eyes.
"That bitch." Marcus muttered and we all laughed.
Suddenly phones started buzzing in the hallway and I could feel mine also vibrating in my pocket.
Curiously I took it out and my eyes widened at what I was looking at.
