[ VI ] Chapter 6
Trying on a silk blouse, I sighed as I looked into the mirror. This hugged my curves way too much. I was currently trying on clothes, deciding what to wear, just after I came back to my very luxurious hotel room from shopping. Taking the blouse off, I took a black shirt and slid it on. Nodding in acceptance, I then grabbed the white outer-layer.
Fixing my makeup, I applied more lip-gloss to make my lips look more polished and full. Oh what wonders makeup can do to your face.
Just then, my phone beeped.

The human is dead.
-Rose.
My un-beating heart froze at that text. The human? Isabella? I don't tap into my files in my brain, but just now, I wanted to. After an entire year of not doing it. Wanting to keep it that way, I decided to ask Rose what happened. Surely the Cullens and the Quileutes are protecting the borders.

You're joking. What happened?
-Vienna.

I don't know. Alice said that she saw the human jump off
a cliff because she was suicidal or something. Don't start
blaming me because it was Edward's idea to spread out
and move away from Forks.
-Rose.
Move away? Spread out? Is the Olympic Coven no more?

Wait. What? Does that mean that the Olympic Coven is
gone? Where are you all if you've spread out? Emmett?
Is he with you? What about Alice, Jasper, Esme, Carlisle
and Edward?
-Vienna.

Yes, Emmett is with me. I don't know where the others
are. Alice and Jasper might be in Paris, Esme and Carlisle
may be in London. As for Edward. . . well I think he's in
Brazil. Or Italy. I dunno

-Rose.
What. What the hell happened in these few months? Deciding to look at it, I closed my eyes and shuffled through the event. Bella cut her finger, drawing blood. . . Jasper attacked and Edward threw the both of them back. . . You idiot. He decided to move the family away because Carlisle wasn't aging as he should and because he wasn't a normal boyfriend. I snorted. Isabella went through extreme depression and tried killing herself but survived because a wolf saved her. . . Intriguing.
I almost dropped the phone when Alice called me. I was so lost in absorbing the information into my primary mind that I was startled when the phone rang. Picking up, I heard Alice start screeching, as per usual.
"Genevieve, go to the Volturi and fetch Edward. Now!"
"How the fuck should I know where the Volturi are? Besides, I don't take kindly to orders!" I hissed, gripping the bedpost so hard that I heard the wood splintering beneath my fingers.
"It's in Volterra, the largest tower which happens to be the Clocktower. That's the entrance. Please hurry!" She hung up.
Growling, I shoved my phone into my pocket before half-running to the elevators so I could get to my car.
Arriving at Volterra at around 8PM, I parked my Volvo safely beside the sidewalk before getting out. Now where the fuck is Edward? Looking around, I saw very beautiful, old-renaissance-like buildings towering over me.
Spotting the clocktower that Alice mentioned in the distance, I hesitated. Why should I do this again? Because you're a nice person. My subconscious hummed. Right now she is helping herself to some popcorn and watching the show.
I groaned to myself and blurred towards the tower, all the while staying in the shadows so the humans that were out late for work wouldn't see me and report me to the police. During the entire short trip, my mind was slowly filling up with anger at Edward for his stupidity, his immaturity and his lack of knowledge.

Slamming the clocktower door open without a second though, I walked past the receptionist who had beautiful brown hair and a pretty face. "Ah, signora!" She called, standing up immediately, but then sitting down stiffly once she saw my red eyes. Good, she won't intervene with me slamming Edward's face into the hard marble.
As I half-ran through the dimly-lit corridors, I realized that the Clocktower was actually a castle. Amazing artwork hung off of the walls every few yards and the stone walls were intricately decorated with words in latin.
There were several different corridors I could go through and several staircases leading to different parts of the castle which made me a bit confused, but I followed my gut and continued to go straight.
Eventually, I came to two large-ornate doors and I heard Edward's muffled voice drifting through them. Halting, I waited patiently outside, planning my attack. I heard several voices inside, probably belonging to the almighty kings; Caius, Marcus, and Aro. Now normally I would have bursted through the doors as if I owned the place and tore Edward's miserable head off myself but I didn't want to get my head torn off.
When the doors opened and a dead-looking Edward stepped out, I immediately shot forward and took him by the neck, slamming him onto the wall beside me just as the large doors closed. "You fucking psychopath!" I screeched, letting out all of my anger.
Edward blinked his golden eyes at me. "Genevieve?"
"No, I'm the Grinch." I snarled sarcastically, tightening my hold.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, but before I could answer, he continued. "Ah, have you heard? Bella passed away. Charlie is arranging the funeral." Edward added sadly, looking past me.
Lifting him away from the wall before slamming him back with much more force, I ignored the breaking wall and slapped him with my other hand. No reaction. "Will you kill me? End my suffering? I won't apologize about our previous conversation."
I stared him down for several minutes before releasing him and running a hand through my hair. "You. Drive. Me. Crazy." I growled, resisting the urge to burst into the room beside us and beg the Kings to kill him.
He smiled half-heartedly, apparently enjoying my frustration. "I know." His eyes hardened. "But that doesn't change my decision."
"Mrrg. Urrrg." I muttered, pacing slowly. Stopping, I punched him so hard a crack formed on his face. "That felt better." I sighed.
"What the hell was that for, Genevieve Vienna Montgomery?"
"Oh don't you use my full name on me!" I hissed, my anger rushing forward like a wave again. "You still don't know do you?"
"Know what?"
"Isabella is still alive."
"She is not." Edward sulked, slumping against the wall as the crack healed. "Rosalie told me that Alice saw her jumping off a cliff."
I clenched my fists and rolled my head. "Who do you trust, a seer or a person who actually knows things?" I growled.
"Alice is my sister, why wouldn't I trust her?" He retorted sullenly.
Letting out a deep breath, I took him by the neck again and slammed him down to the ground. Me beating him up was so satisfying. "You don't say those things to a woman!" I screeched, "More importantly one who knows how to kick your ass!"
Just as I pressed my heel into Edward's neck, the door beside us opened. A very displeased-looking girl with blond hair in a bun stared back at me with cold indifference.
"Master Aro wishes that you two come in to see him."

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer?
