It has been a hard few weeks, and I was getting a little used to working at a bar without seeing or talking to Vince.
Since it was a random Sunday that Chelsea and I didn't have work, we decided to try out going to the gym. We didn't know if we wanted to be members of a gym, but we wanted to at least give it a try.
"Which gym should we even go to?" Chelsea asked, googling the different gyms around the city.
I looked at her phone, pointing at the one nearest to us. "How about that one?" I suggested.
"Sure. That'll work too." She laughed.
We walked over that way, then went inside, heading toward the guy at the counter.
"Hey, we're here for the first time. We just want to check things out," Chelsea said to him.
The guy nodded, and told us we can have a free trial. He gave us a few sheets of paper to fill out.
After we filled it out, we gave it to the guy. Then, we went into the locker room to change into our gym clothes.
When we were done, we tried to figure out what we should do first.
"What about treadmills?" Chelsea suggested.
"Yeah, that sounds good," I said, nodding my head.
We went over to the treadmills.
I pressed one of the buttons several times, and it made me run. It came so suddenly that I didn't realize, then fell on my face.
Chelsea gasped, quickly turning off my treadmill. "Are you okay?" She asked.
I winced, rubbing my head. "I'll be fine," I reassured her, feeling embarrassed as she helped me up. That's going to leave a mark.
A few other guys, who happened to be attractive, stared at me, giving me a strange look.
"Did you still want to do that? Unless you want to do something else?" Chelsea asked.
"No, we can still do this. I'll just be careful," I answered. "It only hurts a little bit."
"Okay." She nodded. "As long as you're okay."
We went back on the treadmills. About ten minutes later, we got off, then walked out of that room to go to the main gym room.
Chelsea and I went to do different stretches, and lift some weights.
There were a few people that were in the room, but then my mouth dropped open when I saw Vince walk in.
I quickly went to the furthest part of the room, turning my back.
Is that him?
Chelsea gave me a confused look, then looked over at Vince, having her mouth open in shock. She stood there frozen.
I tried motioning her to come towards me, but she wasn't looking my way.
Luckily, Vince went in the opposite direction, where the bigger weights were.
"Psst!" I said to Chelsea, still trying to get her attention.
After the third time doing that, Chelsea finally noticed me. She grabbed her cell phone, then a few seconds later, I received a text that said:
Unfortunately, my cell phone was on full volume, and my text tone exclaimed, "Pikachu!"
Vince whirled his head, looking in my direction, even though I dodged quickly. As soon as he saw me, he glared, shaking his head.
"Hey, Vince," Chelsea said to him, glaring. "Stalker much?"

"He wasn't stalking us, Chels," I butted in, quickly coming toward them. "Sorry." I muttered to Vince.
"So where's hickey guy?" Vince asked, crossing his arms.
I rolled my eyes. "It's not what you think," I muttered. "We both got drunk, and then that happened."
He raised an eyebrow in annoyance. "I thought you didn't party and get drunk anymore."
I sighed, feeling uncomfortable. "That's because of the whole breakup thing that happened. It happened because of some unknown twisted person that wanted to break us apart by spreading lies."
He sighed. "I'll just come here a different day." He turned around to walk away, but then I grabbed his arm.
"Wait." He turned around, and then I sighed. "Just please let me explain everything."
"I'm sorry, Anastasia, but I don't believe you, especially after I saw a random guy at your house. There is no evidence of truth." He tugged away from my grip, and walked away.
I turned to Chelsea, bursting into tears again. Just as I thought I was getting over him, it all came back to me as if it happened yesterday.
"It's okay," Chelsea reassured me, giving me a hug.
I tried ignoring the stares from muscular guys giving us weird looks, but it made me feel so uncomfortable that I needed to get out of there. "I'm sorry, Chels, but I have to go," I said, quickly running out of the room.
Chelsea quickly followed after me as we ran all the way outside.
As we were running outside, we were unknowingly catching up to Vince. I gasped, slowing down as I realized Vince was less than five feet in front of us, walking towards his car.
By that time, I thankfully stopped crying. "Let's follow him," I whispered to Chelsea.
"Yes, an adventure!" Chelsea quietly squealed.
I was almost hoping she would try to be logical and talk me out of doing that, but that would be something Jesenia would do if we were talking.
We quickly hailed a taxi right in time as Vince pulled out of the parking spot. "Follow that car," I urged the driver.
The driver gave us a confused look, but didn't ask or say anything as we drove off behind Vince.
We drove behind him for about ten minutes until he parked his car next to Havens Enterprise.
"We'll stop here," I said to the driver, giving him money. "Thank you so much."
"You're welcome," the driver mumbled.
Chelsea and I got out of the taxi, and slowly followed Vince behind a small crowd.
He stopped right in front of his building as his phone rang, and Chelsea and I stood next to the stairs outside. He fumbled through his back, then reached for his cellphone. "Hello, Rebecca?" He answered into the phone. There was a pause, then he continued, "Yes, I will be able to make it to dinner tonight. It's at Thai Villa, right?" Another pause went by, then he said, "Chloe Roberts will be there?" He sounded indifferent, sighing. "I'll see you all later." He hung up his phone, then starting scrolling on it.
"Who's Chloe?" Chelsea asked me with a confused look.
I shook my head. "I don't know..." I said in a quiet and serious tone, frowning.
"Well, we're going to find out."
My eyes widened. "Chels, I don't know-"

"Let's just see what happens." She shrugged. "Then, you will know if you have to finally move on from him or save your relationship."
I sighed. "We're following him around like losers. It's pathetic."
"Or smart."
I sighed again, rolling my eyes. "Fine, we'll go. It's not like we work tonight or have anything else better to do."
"Exactly." She nodded.
All of a sudden, my phone's text ringtone went off, screeching, "Pikachu!"
Vince looked up, still holding his phone, looking weirded out, as Chelsea and I quickly ran over behind a big bush nearby, ducking. I peaked, noticing him trying to around, but he didn't see anyone in sight. "Hello?" He said, but of course, we didn't respond as we stayed hidden.
After looking around for another minute, he walked inside Havens Enterprise.
Chelsea and I hailed another taxi to go home. We stayed at the apartment the rest of the afternoon, until we got ready to go to Thai Villa.
"I'm just warning you that this place may be out of our price range," I said to Chelsea as I googled the restaurant. "Vince typically eats at fancy restaurants."
Chelsea rolled her eyes, sighing. "I'm sure we can order appetizers...or even water," she said.
I gave her a small smile, laughing. Leave it to Chelsea for always coming up with a solution.
"Does my face look messed up?" I asked her after I put on foundation to cover up the bruise on my face.
"Yeah, I can barely tell," Chelsea reassured me. "Does it hurt?"
"Not as much now." I shook my head, grabbing my purse. "We should probably leave now."
Chelsea and I left the apartment to head to Thai Villa.
We got there in about fifteen minutes, and when we got there, we had to wait for a table.
I sighed as I looked around, realizing we were underdressed and stood out from everybody else. We wore hoodies, jeans, and sunglasses so we could disguise ourselves from Vince noticing us.
I stared at the place in awe. The place looked extremely fancy and exquisite like a palace. There were a lot of gold chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
"Your table is ready," the waitress said to us, distracting me from admiring the place. She lead us to our wooden booth, then handed us the menus.
Chelsea and I sat across from each other. The waitress took our order for our drinks, which were two iced cold waters. We figured that alcohol and seeing Vince do not mix well.
We waited a few minutes to figure out what we wanted to order. Surprisingly, most of the food wasn't as expensive as I thought it was going to be.
The waitress came by our table again. "Do you know what you would like to order?" She asked us.
"Yes," I said, nodding my head. "I'll have the chicken satay."
The waitress wrote down my order, then looked over at Chelsea. "And what would you like?"
"I'll have the spicy chicken wings," Chelsea responded.
"Alright." She wrote down her order. "I'll be back in a few minutes."
Chelsea and I kept looking around, noticing that Vince, Rebecca, and Chloe were not to be seen.
As the waitress came back with our food, I noticed Vince, Chelsea, and a young woman with long wavy brunette hair walking past us, and sat at a booth directly behind us.
Chelsea sat there, scrolling on her phone.
"Chels," I whispered, sighing when she didn't respond. I slightly kicked her leg, which caused her to jump.
"Ow!" She exclaimed, giving me an annoyed look. "What?"
"Vince, Rebecca, and Chloe are sitting behind us."
"Oh." She nodded as her eyes widened.
"Let's try to listen to what they're saying."
Since it was restaurant, it was difficult to hear what they were saying most of the time.
"So Chloe, how have you been?" I heard Vince ask her.
"I'm doing great actually. I've been traveling to different places the past three months on vacation, but now I have to go back to the real world and back to work," Chloe replied, sighing. "It was nice going to England, Ireland, France, Italy, and Germany."
"That sounds fantastic." He took a sip of champagne.
I couldn't hear the rest they were saying as more people came in and passed by.
The waitress came back with our food. "Do you two need any refills?" She asked us.
"Sure," I said, giving her the glass to refill.
"You can refill mine too," Chelsea said.
After the waitress filled up our glasses with water, she went over to Vince's table.
I tried to hear what they were saying, but I barely could. It looked like they were ordering food anyways.
As Chelsea and I were eating our food, Chelsea gasped, then chugged down a lot of water. "This is really spicy!" She exclaimed.
"What did you expect? It's Thai food, and you ordered spicy chicken wings," I said, laughing.
She gave me a look, waving her hands in front of her mouth. "Yeah, but I never had spicy chicken wings that were this spicy." She chugged the rest of her water, then started choking, which caused her to spit some of the water out.
My eyes widened, then I noticed from the corner of my eye that Vince was glancing at our table since Chelsea was choking on water. Thankfully, he looked away, and didn't recognize us.
It took Chelsea about twenty seconds to settle down. "It went down the wrong pipe," she said, clearing her throat and wincing. "Those wings almost killed me."
"You're fine, Chels," I said, slightly laughing. "Need more water?"
She shook her head. "No, I think I'm good."
The waitress came back to Vince's table to give them their food.
Chloe whispered something into Vince's ear, and they both grinned at each other. My face fell as I kept watching as they acted flirty with each other.
"I guess Vince moved on after all," I muttered, sighing.
"I'm sorry, Stace," Chelsea said, wincing. "At least now you know."
"Yeah..."
When we were done eating, the waitress came by our table, and then we paid for our food and left her a tip.
We quickly got up from the table before Vince could recognize us.
As we walked outside, Chelsea asked, "Did you want to continue to see what they're up to?"
"No. I already see what I needed to know," I said, sighing. "Let's just get out of here."
She nodded.
As we were trying to catch a taxi, Vince, Rebecca, and Chloe walked out, talking and laughing.
Our eyes widened, and we quickly walked away from them with our hoodies on our heads.
Thankfully, the next taxi we hailed stopped to pick us up, and then we went back to the apartment.
