Sun's POV
The boat ride to Poni was nice. Lillie seemed to enjoy the sights of the ocean as we made our way to the island. Our hands got really close to each other's. The boat's seats were pretty close, after all. Finally we made it to Poni Island.
Lillie hopped off the boat first, but before I could follow, Gladion stopped me.
"Wait up." He said before I got up.
"Yeah, whatcha need, Gladion?" I returned.
"Uh..." It sounded like he was having a hard time saying what he wanted to say.
"Um, Take... Take care of Lillie for me, okay?" He finally said.
"O-Of course!" I replied.
"Don't try anything funny, got it?" He said.
"Yes, of course!" I said back. Gladion laughed.
"You know. Thinking on it, if it's you, it probably wouldn't be that bad. Better than it being Hau, that's for sure." Gladion said, grinning.
"What do you mean?" I said.
"Oh, nothing. Take care. And remember what I told you. Don't try anything." Gladion said, giving me a stare down while gesturing me off the boat. Gladion had a different aura than last last night when we talked. But what was he talking about?
I walked out onto the docks to meet up with Lillie.
"Sun. I'm OK. You don't have to worry. I know what I have to do now." She smiled.
"And... I don't know. Maybe it sounds strange, but... I'm kind of excited." She said, blushing a little bit. I could see it clear as day now that she no longer had her big hat. She looked so amazing.
A woman with what looked like pink paint on her face walked up to us. She had long hair flowing on the sides of her face, as well as paint splotches on her shirt, similar to her face.
"I'm Mina. I'm the local captain." She said. Mina then began to talk about her trial, but we then told her that we're not here for that. We asked for where the Kahuna was and she told us to find Hapu along the Ancient Poni Path. We thanked her, and started to make our way there.
On the way, I battled a few trainers. Lillie supported me through them all, of course. She healed my Pokemon and rooted for me on the sidelines as we moved along. Finally we made it to the path to find Mudsdale waiting there.
"Wow... Pokémon Trainers really do amaze me. It seems like a hard path to walk, and even so, you don't let yourself be held back by the fear of seeing your Pokémon friends get hurt... You just keep striving forward together..." Lillie looked down, thinking about something probably. "Together..." I heard her say under her breath.

"Oh! Been a while, Sun. And you brought Lillie along, too?" Hapu said, walking out of the hause next to us.
"Yes. It's good to see you, Hapu!" Lillie said to her.
"You look different...like you're ready to go all out in something now." Hapu said, studying Lillie.
"Thank you, Hapu. I've finally discovered what I need to do. So this is my Z-Powered form!" Lillie smiled.
"Ho! Then you do your best, Lillie." Hapu returned.
Hapu then explained how there was no kahuna on Poni, but told us to follow her to the ruins. There we saw Hapu being granted the title of Kahuna. Hapu was now the kahuna of Poni Island. Hapu then told us about Solgaleo, the Legendary Pokemon, and the Alter of the Sunne. She also told us of a flute, counterpart of the one we already have, located on Exeggutor Island. She said that we have to use both flutes at the alter to give Solgaleo power.
Just like that, we were on our way to Exeggutor Island. We made it back to Seafolk village and met a man who was willing to take us to the island. We sat in the back of his Magikarp boat and waited to arrive. The boat was kind of small, so me and Lillie had to sit pretty close to each other. I could feel the warmth of her body more and more as the air got colder along the sea. We were so close to each other, I wish i could've hugged her right then and there.
Finally, we made it to Exeggutor Island.
"Hah... Here we are at Exeggutor Island!" The captain said as he began to dock the ship.
"I heard that his place used to be a trial site, though that was a long time ago now.
You go on. Good luck to you both!" He said, grinning.
"Let's go find that flute! Right?" Lillie said with her adorable smile. She then ran ahead onto the island. The captain nudged me playfully.
"Heheh, good luck, kid." He said, turning to me and winking. I felt my face blush.
"We'll s-see you later!" I said nervously. He laughed in return.
I went to go catch up with Lillie, who was inspecting what looked like a palm tree.
Lillie's POV
I looked at what seemed like a palm tree but it was... Warm? I looked up to see the the leaves, but was met with a face above me.
An Exeggutor!
Sun jumped in front of me, gesturing me to stand back. I moved away as quick as possible and watched as Sun took care of the Pokemon.

"Are... You OK?" Sun asked, concerned.
"Oh! Yes, I'm fine!" I said to him.
"Phew... That was an Exeggutor, wasn't it? I think that good weather in Alola has let it grow a bit more vigorously than I'd prefer." I said, jokingly. Sun laughed at that.
We continued to stroll down what seemed like the pathway heading down the island. Sun took his time looking around to see what the island's wilderness had to offer. We walked until we there was what seemed like a small cave ahead of us. Just then, I felt a rain drop fall on my arm. Then another fell on my head. It was sprinkling.
"Oh! It's started to rain..." I said, but just as I said that, it began to pour violently down on us.
"The cave!" I said, pointing towards it. Sun nodded in response. We both ran towards the cave together, taking shelter from the rain.
We both sat under the cave's cover and watched as the rain fell from the sky. We stood close to each other as we watched.
"My skirt got a bit wet..." I said, inspecting my clothes.
"Looking out at the rain like this... reminds me of this one time when I was little." I said, looking out. Me and sun were really close to each other at this point. I could feel his warmth right next to me. It felt so enticing and so gentle... Like the... Sun, heheh. I wish I could feel his warmth embracing me.
"I'd seen it in a movie... this man singing and dancing in the rain. It captivated me so much that I had to try it for myself. My mother spotted me out in the rain, and she was so shocked that she ran right out after me without even bothering to get an umbrella..." I said out loud. I was sharing this with Sun now. I hadn't shared much of my past with Sun before, but he deserves to hear this. He deserves to know more about me. He must think my mother's actually insane from just his experiences...
"But... then she changed. And all she would think about was Ultra Space. And Null and Nebby... They both ended up suffering so much... and I couldn't do anything..." I turned to look at him. He was staring at me with such a caring, yet worried face. Sun really did care about me.
"But you know what, Sun? Whenever I feel like there's nothing I can do, you seem to show up and...you do something. Every time, you've shown me that it's possible... to do something." I smiled at him.
"Even the first time we met... Nebby was being attacked, and all I could do was look on in horror..." I said.
"And at Aether Paradise... all I could do was wait for you and the others to save me..." I continued. I looked at the sky for a moment. Looking at it, this is kind of romantic... Just me and Sun. Together in the rain on an island to ourselves... I'm... I'm going to tell him how I feel. That I... Love him...
"Whenever I'm in any sort of trouble, you're always there..." I said.
Come on Lillie, say it, tell him! Tell him!
"I..." I could feel me face getting warmer and warmer in a blush.
I can't! Nevermind, I can't do this!
"Um... Sun? What are you going to do...once you finish your island challenge?" I ask, dismissing what I was about to say.
"Oh, um... I think... I think I'll keep trying to get stronger afterwards. Why?" He replied to me.
"It must be nice, knowing what you want to do. I really admire that." I said.
"I think...I'd like to become a Trainer, too. And travel together with you, Sun..." I was turned away from him, but I was still worried that he may be able to see me blushing. I really did just say that...
Together with Sun... Forever... I could feel my heart skip a beat.
Sun's POV
Together... With... Me? Lillie wants to be with... Me? What does she mean by that? Does she mean, like, dating-together? Or like, friends together? What's happening?!
Lillie was facing away from me, but we were close enough to feel each other's warmth through the cold rain. I wanted to grab her hand and hold it right then and there. I inched my hand closer and closer to hers. The silence was getting more intense by the second.
Just as I was about to touch her hand, the rain stopped.
"Ah!" She said, reacting to the rain. I pulled my hand back to my side instantly as she turned towards me.
"Maybe there really are good omens sometimes, wouldn't you say?" She said with her adorable smile.
We left the cave and went to go get the Sun flute from the pedestal. We went back to the Captain and he boated us back to Poni Island so we could make it to our next destination, the Altar of the Sunne.
