Louis closed the door as soon as Harry stepped in to the room. He hesitated for a second, his hand still pressed to the door as he took a deep breath before turning around to face the intruder.
"So, uh.." Louis looked to Harry, seeing the boy was swinging his bag in his hand. Louis smiled. He could tell that Harry felt awkward- which for what he had seen over the years- was unusual. He had always seen Harry show nothing but confidence. So seeing him like this, was abnormal. "I believe this belongs to you." He finally took a step towards Louis, who still hasn't moved from his space by the front door.
"Yeah." Louis chuckled, taking the handbag from the others grip. "Thank you." He paused before walking in to the living room. He could sense Harry following behind him so he began to speak again. "Not being rude, but why are you here? Ashton said that he would drop it round." He plopped himself on the sofa and looking to the boy who soon followed his actions, sitting on the opposite side of the sofa.
"Right." Harry chuckled. "The boys- Ashton, Luke, Cal and Michael all crashed at mine last night, after the party. I was tidying the living room- where they stayed- when he was on the phone to you and.. I remembered what happened in the kitchen and I felt like it was my role to come and apologies." He paused, looking to his lap, where his hands led, then back up at Louis. "I promise you that I'm not usually like that. It really was the alcohol."
Louis looked down to his bag, feeling a little disappointed with the fact that Harry didn't mean his actions. Harry noticed the expression the boy held and he felt the need to slap himself.
"No, no, no." Louis looked up. "I didn't mean it like that- I would so much kiss you- wow, did I really just say that." Both boys cheeks turned a deep shade of red. "I meant, if I wasn't drunk and you hadn't been drinking. If we were in a different situation... And I had your consent I would have.. Am I making this worse for myself?" He chucked, still looking to the smaller boy.
Louis shook his head, unsure of what he'd say if he had opened his mouth.
"What I'm trying to say is; if neither of us were drinking and we knew each other better, then maybe.." He trailed off not knowing where his little speech was going.
"I understand." Louis laughed. Looking down to his lap and fiddling with his handbags handle as silence slipped into the room.
Both boys sat not know what to do. Harry changed his sitting position so that he was no longer facing Louis, but facing forward. And Louis kept his eyes trained to his painted fingernails and bag.
Harry knew what he wanted to say to Louis, he just didn't know how to say it. He couldn't find the correct words in his vocabulary but he knew that if he didn't ask now, he would never be able to find the time again. He'd never catch Louis alone like this, at least not for a while.
So once he had picked up the courage and the silence became too much, Harry opened his mouth and spoke. "So I was wondering.." Louis looked up, his blue eyes slightly wide. "...if you would like to get to know each other." Harry shifted, his body now facing Louis.

Louis' eyebrows creased.
Harry sighed, looking down and smiling. As he spoke again, he looked back up. "Would you like to maybe go on a date?" Louis' eyes widened and his mouth dropped open. Harry wasn't sure if he should laugh or run at the boys reaction.
His stomach was fluttering with butterflies, which had never happened in this kind of situation before. His eyes scanned Louis, still waiting for some kind of reaction. A positive one would be the preferred.
Louis closed his mouth, just to open it and close it once again. "I-" he paused. "Uh.. Yeah. I mean sure." Harry let out a puff of air he never knew he was holding in. And he smiled. His dimples showing and his cheeks glowing. Louis loved the sight.
"Great." Louis gave out a small giggle. "So uh," Harry reached into his back pocket, pulling out his phone. "Do you wanna give me your number, and I'll text you... Or something?" He looked up from where he was typing in his password, his eyes brows raised in a questionable manor.
Louis giggled for a second time, sliding closer to Harry on the sofa. So close that Louis' criss-crossed legs were touching Harry's thigh. Harry was still watching Louis as the boy snatched his phone out of his hands. He admired the way Louis' eyelashes looked even longer from the light shining up at him. The room was slightly dark and even the silhouette of Louis looked great in Harry's eyes.
He snapped out of his daze when Louis looked back up at him, a soft smile planted on his pink lips. "Here." Louis spoke, his voice coming out more as a whisper.
"Thanks." Harry grinned, looking down at Louis' hands and taking the phone. He looked back up, still grinning. "I uh- I best go." He stood from the sofa, stretching out his legs before turning to see Louis stood close behind.
"Thank you." He smiled. "For bringing my bag over."
"S'no problem." Harry smirked.
Once Louis and Harry had said their goodbyes, Louis was left alone in the flat. He spent the rest of the night, snuggled up on the sofa watching re-runs of old Disney shows whilst his phone sat in the corner of the room, switched off and happily charging.
-
When Louis woke up, he was being shaken and screamed at by his room mate. "What are you still doing here?! You're an hour late for first period!"
Louis jumped up from the sofa, rushing to the bathroom, not saying a thing to Megan. He was lucky to had managed the ways on how to do a five minute make-up routine, otherwise, he would have been at least another hour late.
Twenty minutes later, Louis was dressed, his bag over his shoulder and was already out of the door. He rushed his way down the stairs and out of the block of flats before doing the same thing, all the way to the college building.
Don't ask how he did it, but Louis had made it just in time for second period; Music. He walked into the loud classroom only to receive a glare from Luke. "I'm sorry!" Louis whined sitting down next to his best friend.
"That doesn't cut it. Do you know how long I waited for you this morning. I buzzed the buzzer for so long too. Why the fuck did you not wake up. I called you but even your phone went straight to answerphone." Luke huffed, pushing out his bottom lip and pouting. Showing Louis that he felt rejected.

Louis' eyes popped open and he rushed to get this bag off this back, throwing it on the table and sifting through the insides.
"What now?!" Luke asked the rushing boy.
Louis groaned, leaning back in his chair and glaring at his open bag. "I've left my phone at home." Luke laughed, pushing himself up in the chair and sitting with his back against the wall.
Just as Louis was about to speak up to Luke, the teacher announced that it was time to preform their projects and Louis began to instantly feel nervous. After all the praise Louis got for his voice from the rest of Luke's band, he had agreed to him and Luke both singing the song. However, he was now regretting his decision.
His throat felt dry and his hands were clammy, gripping his jean-covered legs tightly to take his mind off his name being called soon. The teacher was making her way down the register, calling out all the pairs of people.
Eventually though, she called out, "Luke, Louis. Your turn." And Luke was already at the front of the class, fetching his guitar.
Louis made his way to the spot next to Luke slowly, really not feeling sure about this. Once he took his seat and the teacher announced that they could start, Louis looked to Luke.
Luke reached over and picked up Louis' hand, squeezing it tightly before going back to gripping his guitar. Louis breathed out shakily. Muttering a small "okay" to Luke, letting him know that he could now start counting down.
"1. 2. 3. 4." And so the song began. Louis looked down through out most of the performance, only looking up at his final verse. His eyes scanned nobody in particular until they reached the very back of the classroom. Sat there, in a dark blue jumper and tight black skinny jeans was Harry.
Their eyes locked and Louis suddenly felt as if Harry was the only one watching. As weird as it sounds, that made him feel even more comfortable. He would have thought it would do the opposite but obviously not, because his smile was fighting it's way off of his lips as he sung the last remaining note.
The class all clapped their hands- Harry included. Luke and Louis both did a small bow to show their appreciation. The boys were sent back to their seats and were told to "not forget" to collect their grade at the end of that lesson. Louis smiled shyly to the ground as he made his way back to his seat, walking close to Luke.
At the end of the lesson, once everyone had preformed and the bell had rung, Louis hung back with Luke, not wanting to be the first to get the grades. "Just relax will you. It went great." Luke laughed standing from his chair.
Louis groaned, standing snd tucking his chair underneath the table. When he looked back up to Luke, he noticed the boy was looking behind. Louis spun around, only to walk right into a chest. He heard a low chuckle emit from the body and he knew instantly it was Harry. He looked up at the boy shyly.
"He's right , y'know. You have nothing to worry about." Harry's hands had wrapped themselves around Louis forearms when the boy had turned, saving Louis from stumbling backwards. The two boys stayed quiet just looking at each other for a minute until Luke coughed from behind them. Harry looked up over Louis' shoulder and smiled to the blonde (who smiled right back).
He looked back down at Louis as he spoke. "I uh- just wanted to ask if you got my message..?" Louis pulled a face, making him look like he had just eaten a lemon or something of the sorts.
"I'm so sorry. My phone was put on charge and I had forgotten to turn it on. And then I was late this morning- because my alarm didn't go off- so I forgot to pick it up. I'm sorry." Harry chuckled and Louis' face softened.
"S'okay. S'all good, I thought you were ignoring me or something." Harry gave a halfhearted laugh before taking a step back and adjusting his bag on his shoulder. "Just text when you get home, yeah?" Louis nodded his head and smiled as Harry walked off.
"Wow." He turned to face Luke. "That really just happened." He laughed when Louis punched at his arm softly.
"Shut it, you."
The boys made their way to the teachers desk where they were to find out their grade. "Ah, boys." The older lady looked down at her sheet and Louis could feel his hands create a moisture once again, his nerves getting the better of him. "Before I give you your grade, I just want to ask.." She looked up, "who was it that wrote the song?"
Luke looked over to Louis who spoke. "We both did." He announced. However when the teacher opened her mouth to speak, Luke butted in.
"Actually... Louis did most of it. I just helped with a few rhymes here and there. Other than that, Louis did the rest." Louis looked over to Luke with a smile on his red painted lips.
"Well, Louis. I want to congratulate you on such an amazing song. Keep it up and you will defiantly be going places." Louis flushed a deep red shade. "It really was a great song and I had no idea you had that in you.. Amazing." She paused again. "If you don't mind me asking, where did you find the inspiration..?" She placed her elbows on the desk and leant froward as if the stood up boy was about the tell a story.
Louis fiddled with his fingers. "A-A boy." Was all he managed, his confidence completely gone as he awaited his grade.
"Very well." She laughed, leaning back once again. "Okay, so I guess you'd like your grade..?" He looked up over her glasses, seeing the two boys nod their heads viciously. "Congratulations boys, A*."
Louis screamed, turning to Luke and hugging him, jumping to wrap his legs around Luke's waist. The blonde laughed, along with the teacher as Louis fixed his head in the space of Luke's neck. "I told you you'd do it." Luke laughed, holding tightly to his best friend waist.
"We did it." Louis breathed, laughing loudly after out of pure happiness.
