summary:Waking up next to your boyfriend, Gilbert.
You still couldn't believe that Gilbert Blythe was yours. You had been together for a long time but you still sometimes had to pinch yourself.
You slowly opened your eyes as some faint sunlight's fell on your skin.
Through your dozy eyes you saw Gilbert sleeping peacefully next to you.
His one arm was laying gentle on your waist. You blinked a few times to let your eyes adjust to the light.
As you moved your hand slowly from around his waist you heard him grumble soft. You froze for a moment because you didn't want to wake him.
As he laid quite again, you moved your fingers to his hair and started to stroke it gently.
He awoke gently from your movement and smiled at you once he saw your face.
"Morning Y/n" – he said in a deep voice.
"Morning Gil" – you replied as you watched Gilbert stretch out a bit.
He then wrapped his arms again around you and pulled you close.
"I love you Y/n" – he said as he moved a piece of hair out of your face.
"I love you too Gilbert" – you replied as you cupped his cheek to give him a quick kiss.
He smiled like a fool, you then turned around to roll out of bed but he stopped you.
"Gilbert" – you called out as he pulled you back to him.
"5 more minutes, Y/n" – he answered in a deep voice.
You sighed and let Gilbert wrap his arms around you again.
Gilbert practically closed his eyes again as he let his head rest against yours.
A smirk appeared on your face and you grabbed a pillow as quite as you could.
Gilbert lifted his head as he felt something move, he had no time to say anything or react because you threw the pillow against his face.

Gilbert was first shocked by the sudden smack he got but that soon made way for a smirk of his own.
He pulled the pillow from underneath his head and threw it against you.
"oh no you didn't" – you said shocked while Gilbert was laughing his ass of.
You got on your knees and took the pillow again in your hands. You held it above you, ready to throw it on him as a pillow hit your face.
Gilbert was faster than you and had hit you before you could hit him.
Your hair was messy from the pillow and little feathers fell on top of your hair.
You blew some feathers away as they were falling in front of you.
Gilbert had fallen on his back from laughing too hard, you laughed and threw the pillow against his chest.
You wanted to go for another round but Gilbert stopped you by grabbing your pillow and threw it away.
He then grabbed you and rolled around in the bed with you a few times.
Both of you were covered in feathers and your hair was all messy from rolling around.
"You cheated, Gil" – you squealed as Gilbert tickled you soft. You couldn't stop laughing and your body made weird movements to avoid his ticklish hands.
"I'll stop if you kiss me!" – he asked you, still tickling you and trying to avoid your arms.
"Alright ... alright" – you said as you were already crying from laughing to hard.
Gilbert stopped and placed himself on top of you, you cupped his cheek as he pressed his lips onto yours.
His hands moved from your waist to your back as he kept kissing you passionate.
You felt him smile underneath his kiss and you smiled as well as you held your hands against his cheek, to feel him close to you.

He stopped for a moment to look at you, laying on top of you gave him a good view of you.
"I love you so much Y/n" – he said soft, like it was the first time he ever said that to you. he wanted you to know that you are the best thing in his life.
"Love you too Gilbert" – you replied as you touched his lips with a soft kiss.
"I love you so much I could burst into singing" – he said, getting up from you and sitting at the end of the bed on his knees.
"You wouldn't" – you said, sitting up straight and crossing your arms.
That little smirk you knew all too well appeared on his face as he opened his arms wide.
– he started to sing out loud.
"Gilbert" – you tried to say as you held your laughter.
– he gestured to you as he kept singing out loud.
You kept giggling as you thought his singing was funny and sweet.
He started to crawl closer and closer to you.
He grabbed your hands as he was close to you.
– he sang as he started to swing your hands from one side to the other.
– he sang as he moved his face closer to yours.
– you kissed him quick on the lips and he smiled like a fool.
– he kept singing as he pulled you out of the bed.
You were now standing in front of him as he still held your hands.
– he gently started to swing your arms back and forth to dance with you.
You laughed soft when he tried to dance with you like a fool.
– he started to pull you closer and turned you around.
You and Gilbert kept dancing like fool's while he kept singing out loud. If anyone would have seen the two of you they would have thought you were having the time of your life with your boyfriend.
Both of you slowed down and you placed your arm on his shoulder as you let your chin lean on your hand.
Gilbert let his head lean on your shoulder and both of you moved around slowly as he still held you.
– he sang soft as he released his face from your shoulder.
He then looked deep into your eyes – he stopped singing with this line.
Your eyes had gotten watery and you only noticed you were crying soft when Gilbert wiped a tear away.
"I love you Y/n with all my heart" – he whispered before he cupped your cheek and kissed you passionate.

When the mercenary lifestyle grows incompatible with the Kingdom of Evandis, he and his merry band of misfits set off west to seek those with a better proclivity for warfare and with much deeper pockets. At his side: a wandering barbarian who teeters on the edge of savagery, a girl who would have a heart of gold if she didn’t pawn it off to the nearest fence, a wannabe knight who is absolutely overcompensating for something, and the last person in the universe who should be anywhere close to magic. But, as most mercenaries find, the right decisions are quite an expensive luxury, and the wrong ones happen to pay very well. Then again, what are the value of morals to a hungry wolf?
