《Seven Facts Of A Hunter》Chapter 30

The conversation had grown silent, Sam obviously stressed. His hands were clamped tightly in his hair, causing it to stand on end slightly. Dean glared angrily at the table, his hands folded into fists on the table. At this point you were the only one not growling or glaring angrily at the table.
Finally having had enough, you refused to hold back any longer "At this point I'm the only one not growling or glaring angrily at the table and I'm the one he's after for god sakes."
Dean looks at you with a sigh as Sam released his hair "It's because you're more laid back."
You locked eyes with Dean "And I know I have no right to be considering almost all of the bad stuff that has happened while I've been here has happened to me. Its like all the crap thats suposed to hit the fan, isn't reaching it's target since I'm standing in front of it. Taking all the crap and damage and bad stuff, I have no right to be calm but ya know what? I am! I am uncaring about how I now have both angels and demons on my ass." You throw your hands into the air in surrender.
Sam's hand rubbed your back soothingly, his eyes giving you an apologetic look "Hey, maybe if we take an easy case we can get our minds off of some of this."
Deans back straightens as he leans forward in shock "Are you insane! That will just make us moving targets!"
"I can help with the angels." A familiar voice called from behind you, catching everyones attention and causing all of you to turn. "What?" You ask to Castiel who is slowly making his way towards you.
"Do you mean...?" Sam stopped and looked at him.

"It would keep her out of the angels radar, and make it easier to move." He tells him informativly.
"That would make things a lot easier for us, but I still don't like the job idea." He scolled Sam accusingly.
"Wait a minute." You stopped them in your confusion "What the hell are you talking about?"
"Oh she doesn't know about the rib thing? Sam you explain I'll get the x-rays." Sam nods and turns to you.
"X-rays? What is he gonna do to me?" You point at Cas, who remains silent and watches Dean look for the pictures.
"Castiel engraved special symbols along our ribs. It makes it so that angels can't track us, kind of like being under the radar." He explains.
"Ah ha!" Dean calls a few rooms over.
He enters holding a large yellow envelope "Here we go." Sam claps his hands together as Dean opens it and hands the X-ray to Sam.
You watched Sam hold it up to the light, your eyes following the sheet where you saw the symbols etched into the bone "Holy crap." You mutter quietly.
Dean smirked proudly "That's mine."
"Well if it is you need to work on breaking your ribs less often." You examine the sheets against the light "I can also see that your heart has stoped before, along with evidence of a heart attack..." you add.
Sam gives you a confused look as Deans eyes go wide "The hell?"
"The muscle structure around your heart is slightly different from normal cardiovascular tissue, it's hard to explain but the exposure to multiple tramatic events on your heart show really easily in these." You turn to another one and hold it up.
"When did you get a medical degree?" Sam asks amazed.

"Once apon a time I wanted to be a med student, and my birth mom was a nurse, so I was taught to read on med books, eventually I read alnost all of her college med course books." You smile proudly at Sam and set the sheets down.
"Well damn Sammy, I think you have some competition college boy." Dean jokes.
You turn to Sam "You went to college?"
He looks down slightly embarrassed "Yea, I just finished Stanford and was getting ready for law school."
You look at him surprised "Stanford! Holy crap you have to be super nerd to go there!" Dean scoffs, earning a glare from both you and Sam "Stanford was my dream school."
"Trust me it's not as magnificent as the rumors." He smiled at you.
Dean broke the conversation "Alright, Cas can etch ya when we find a case." He turned to Cas who nodded before disappearing. "Alright, let's get busy."

The Undead Revolution
This was my first attempt at writing a story, in hiatus indefinitely. This story follows Silvy, half-elf, a rare race despised by both humans and elves. Having never met her father, the first years of her life were spent together with her mother, who had to leave her native village because of the blasphemy she had committed by giving birth to Silvy. At the age of eight, Silvy became an orphan and was left to fend for herself. Her mother had died of illness, Silvy’s life turning upside down: the child went from living in a modest but cozy home with poor but daily meals to live outside the walls in the slums, where crime was commonplace and food was scarce. Luck had yet to abandon her completely though, because a group of orphans like Silvy decided to help, integrating her into their group and teaching the tricks of the trade; that is, stealing and swindling. But fate had not yet finished playing with her. Kidnapped and frightened, her life will turn upside down again when she awakens as undead, but still able to think clearly.

A lot of new content has been added to the early chapters since the end of May. The first chapters are still under construction and editing, but all the major changes are done. I was a webnovel junkie for a long time, but I found it hard to find novels with solid characters, decent plot, philosophical underpinnings and a fully painted world to keep me going. I've taken from every genre I've liked to make a story that satisfies my own cravings for a good story. If you like the story or have suggestions please leave a comment or review. I hope this novel is fun, provocative but above all fun. Enjoy. Yours truly, James Paul Addington PS I will release at least two chapters a week, or one really long chapter. Concerning the tags: The story is primarily Fantasy with Wuxia influence in some elements. Romance won't happen for the first two arcs or so (roughly 40 chapters), I want to build the world before I do that. Tragedy is because of an event that occurs in the book, not the tone of the book. The book is more lighthearted. Slice of Life doesn't occur till the third arc (the romance happens during that arc as well). Magic will also show up more in later arcs, but appears throughout. Reincarnation it's not a reincarnation like in the traditional sense, but it has a similar concept.
