《The Bookstore》Chapter 3

Kirishima watched as the barista hurry away in confusion.
"So where is this special friend?" Katsuki smirked at him sipping on his coffee.
"Shut up, oh wait there he is," Kirishima waved at Izuku as he approached them.
Katsuki's eyes widened when he saw him.
It was Deku.
Katsuki tried to say something but nothing could come out of his mouth.
He hasn't seen him since middle school and he sure has hell grown.
Katsuki had always tried to find where Izuku went to school or something like that.
He wanted to apologize everything that he did when they were in middle school but he never got the chance.
He heard that Izuku changed schools because he moved away, well that's what the teachers informed them.
Something inside Katsuki's gut told him that it was probably something to do with all the shit he had to go through each day
Izuku looked quite different than when he was in middle school, he was taller and had a few piercings.
He still had the same hair but it was pulled back into a low ponytail, probably to keep the hair out of his eyes.
Seeing him made Katsuki remember the crush that he had on him back in middle school, he quickly shook the thought out of his head.
Izuku had a blank look on his face and didn't say anything as he stared at Katsuki.
To his confusion he took out a whiteboard and started writing on it, he turned it over to show Kirishima and he smiled.
"Katsuki, meet Izuku, he's the new friend I told you about," Kirishima said in an enthusiastic voice.
"He's deaf but he can still read lips so you don't need to worry about sign language and stuff," Kirishima explained.
Katsuki just sat there, saying nothing, just staring at Izuku.

"Deku?" He finally makes out.
Kirishima shot him a confused look, Izuku started writing on the whiteboard and showed it to the both of them.
"Hi Katsuki, it's been a while." it said, Izuku's face had more of an annoyed look now.
"Wait do you guys know each other?" Kirishima asks looking at the two of them.
"Oh, yeah, we knew each other in middle school," Katsuki explains.
"Yeah we 'knew' each other" Izuku wrote, the words he had written were obviously sarcastic.
Katsuki read the words but didn't really register them, his mind was too filled with different thoughts.
He didn't know what to say, should he say "How have you been?" and try to rebuild their friendship again.
Something that Katsuki really wanted to ask was why he was deaf.
Did it have something to do with what happened before he moved schools.
Was it his fault?
Katsuki started to feel really guilty at this point.
"Well I have to get back to work now see you later Kirishima, bye Katsuki," Izuku wrote down before quickly hurrying away.
"Hey, um, I was wondering if you had Deku's number?" He asks him.
∼∼∼∼∼∼∼∼∼∼∼∼
Izuku was really frustrated, the look on Katsuki's face just kept playing over and over inside his head.
The look of fucking guilt.
It seriously pissed him off.
He couldn't focus that day so he asked his boss to give him the rest of the day off.
When he got back to the dorms he saw Akio sitting on his head watching something on his phone.
Izuku threw his whiteboard down on the ground, probably a little too hard.
Akio flinched taking his eyes off of his phone.
He looked down at the whiteboard that he just threw and then back at Izuku who was now grumbling something under his breathe laying on his back staring at the ceiling.

He felt his phone buzz from underneath him.
Izuku grumbled even more as he replied Akio's repetitive messages.
Izuku regretted the message as soon as he sent it.
Izuku looked over at Akio who was now staring at him with a crazed look on his face.
Izuku dug his own fucking grave, now Akio was going to keep bothering him, well might as well tell him the whole story if he's gonna keep going at it.
Izuku glared Akio from across the room and flipped him off.
Izuku looked over at Akio who was stunned, his mouth slightly opened.
Akio wasn't processing anything at the moment, as much as he was a fan of Dynamight he also care about Izuku.
What Izuku didn't know was that Akio thought of Izuku as his best friend and care about him as if he was his own brother.
He would hear people whisper about him being deaf and quirkless all the time but he never really said anything about it.
Not because he didn't want to, it was because he couldn't.
Akio's quirk wasn't strong at all, he could go to a random country, someone could speak a random language to him and something in his brain automatically processes what they are talking about.

Ryan doesn't remember much about his life before becoming a dungeon core. Only that he had a bit of a disagreement with the church -- something to do with a beheading?
