Y/N POV
I've been here about 2 months now. I've gotten used to the time difference here from home.
My friends and I want to try a cat café in town, and I thought I'd buy home some take away food. Me and Aaron has gotten close. He's like and older brother to me, and I tell him everything. I also haven't seen his nephew at all these months, even though I know he's been visiting. I open the door, already left my friends by the elevator, so they don't run down the whole apartment. I walk into the kitchen that is connected to the living room, just to grab some spare change. I hear that Aaron is in there, because he has one of his playlists going in the surround system.
-Me and my friends are going to a cozy cat cafe in town, and I'll buy some take away home afterwards, is there something special you'd wanna- I say and turn around, as I see a guy sitting there next to Aaron. He has curly hair and beautiful brown eyes... Hold up.
-Y/N, this is my nephew; Miles. You're the same age, Aaron says and pats Miles shoulder.
-Heh, Hi Miles, sorry for that earlier, ehm... I say and my face turns warm.
-It's alright Y/N. You can buy whatever, it's fine, Aaron says.
-And Miles, are you eating here? You want something? I ask, unsure.
-Yeah, uh, I'll take whatever. The same as uncle- Aaron, I mean Aaron, he says. I smile.
-You wanna join me and my friends to the café? I ask.
-Yeah, uh, I mean, I'm allergic.... he says. I look at him.
-... To cats.... He finishes. Aaron scoffs And Miles hit him.
-Well, it was nice meeting you Miles. See you guys later, I say and walk out of the apartment, meeting my friends and going to the cafe.
Miles POV:
I hear the door close after the girl.
-WHO, was THAT? I ask my uncle beside me.
-It's my exchange student. She's going to live here for a year and a half, he says.
-Haven't I told you this already? He says teasingly.
-Yes you did, but you didn't warn me about her being that attractive!? I say. Aaron laughs at me.
-I don't know your type! He then says.
-That! That is my type! I say and point after her. Aaron smirks at me.
-Ask her out, he says.
-Are you CRAZY? I can't ask her out! I say.
-Why not? Aaron asks.
-She's an EXCHANGE STUDENT! I say.
-Yeah, so? Aaron asks.
-Eh, you won't get it, I say.
-Look, Igor a fool proof move, Aaron says.
-Just, do what I do, he says. He places a hand on my shoulder, looks weirdly at me. Oh no, not again, I swea-

-Hey, he says. I laugh at him.
-I'm not going to do that!? I say and Aaron laughs at me.
-Can't you just do something normal for once? I ask, pretty pissed that he thinks that I'm going to do that.
-Yeah Yeah. But it's boring! You want to make her think of you all the time. That move will make her never forget you! Aaron says. I scoff.
-Yeah, sure, I grumble.
I think about it. About her. The way her voice had interrupted mine, talking with such passion... oh, who am I kidding? I'm head over heels for her!
Later, Y/N POV
I have two big bags of food in my hands. I walk up to the apartment door, but I can't open it.
So I carefully knock on the door with my full hands. 'I hope they heard me'.
Suddenly the door opens. And there stands Miles. I smile at him.
-Hi, I say. He backs up so I can walk in. I try to rush to the kitchen, so that I don't drop the bags. When I try to let got, my fingers got stuck to the bags! No no no! Not when they're around!
-Hey, are you ok? Miles asks. I look at him in shock, thinking that Aaron would have said something.
-Ehm, Yeah, just got a bit tangled up, I say as I awkwardly laugh. I relax my hands and I let go of the bags.
-So, here's the food, take whatever you guys want, I say as I walk back to the hallway to close the door and hang my coat on the hangers.
When I get back to the living room, the boys already packed up the food and placed plates around the table. I sit on the floor, since I get back pains from sitting and eating on the couch.
After a while, Aaron decides to break the ice.
-So, Y/N, how was school? He asks.
-It was great. I got a bit concerned though. The police came into class and told us to be very careful. A guy that calls himself the "spider killer" broke into the school last night, I say.
-Oh wow, really? Miles asks.
-Does the police know why he broke into the school? Aaron asks concerned.
-The police says that it's because apparently someone in school was important to spider man. Well, that's what they guessed, I say. I could see Miles and Aaron glance at each other every now and then as the dinner went on.
A month later:
Miles is over for dinner again. This time Aaron cooks.
-So, What kind of school do you go to? I ask him.
-I heard that you're some kind of genius, I say.
Miles POV
My face turns warm and I laugh awkwardly.
-Well. You could say that, I say. I could feel Aaron's eyes judging me from the kitchen.

-I go to Brooklyn visions academy, I continue.
-Oh wow! Y/N says.
-That's cool! Is it hard to be without your parents for 5 days a week? Y/N asks.
-Eh, well, you get used to it, I say, trying to act cool. I could see her eyes glimmer with interest.
Y/N POV
-So, like, what do you do? In school I mean? I say.
-Well, right now we have a laboratory thing. We're supposed to showcase how our assigned elements react to other elements, he says.
-Wow. That sounds a lot more interesting than what I do in school, I say.
The rest of the night, I spend with Miles. We talk about school and stuff. It's 10, so he has to head home.
-Well, it was nice getting to know you a bit more, I say.
-Yeah, uh, same, Miles say.
We stand in awkward silence.
-Well, I'll see you next week then, I say awkwardly, and begin to close the door.
Miles POV:
C'mon dude! Say something!
-Eh, wait, Y/N? I say before she closes the door.
-Yeah? She asks.
-Would you maybe wanna... go to that cat cafe with me tomorrow? I ask.
-Aren't you allergic? She asks. Dang...
-I uh.... No, I'm actually not allergic, I say and scratch my neck. We just stand there in silence for a while.
-So, do you mean as in... like... a date? Y/N asks.
-Uh... Yes. I mean, no! No.... I say.
-Oh, she says and looks disappointed. God I'm so stupid! Why couldn't I just say that it was a date!?
-Unless... you want it to be? I say. She smiles at me.
-Really? She asks. I nod.
-Then it's a date, she says.
-See you tomorrow then! Uh, two... o'clock? I ask.
-Two o'clock it is, she says.
-Bye, She says.
-Heh, bye, I say as she closes the door.
.
.
.
YES! I got a date! I got a date!
Y/N POV
I close the door, and with a stupid grin on my face, I sit down on the couch. Aaron stands and is doing the dishes.
-So... you're good eh? He asks.
-Oh shut up! I say. He laughs.
After one year.
Me and Miles have been dating for almost a year now. We've had our first hug, shared our first kiss and.... had our first times.
After everything that has happened this year, I couldn't be happier. I'm sitting at home, watching a movie with Aaron And Miles.
Suddenly my phone rings, and I look at the caller ID. It's mom!
-I'm just gonna take that in my room, I say and answer as I walk to my room.
-Hey mom, I say and close the door.
Miles POV:
I can hear Y/N sound very concerned.
I can hear her open the door.
-Bye mom... see you, she says. She comes out into the living room and hangs up. Then she begins to cry. Aaron pauses the movies and I rush up to her.
-Hey, what's wrong baby? I ask, drying the tears on her cheeks.
-M-my grandma died today.... A-and my mom want me there for the funeral in two weeks, she says and breaks down. Wait... Leave? Well. Of course she needs to leave, her grandma just died.
-B-but I can't leave! I have half a year left! She says.
-Y/N, it's going to be ok, I say.
-I'll talk to the school principal, I'm sure they'll understand, Aaron says.
-Really? I can go home? Y/N asks.
-Yes... Yes you can go home! I say and she cries on my shoulder. How will I ever survive without her..? Family is everything and I just want to see her happy... She's going home...
Three days later Y/N POV:
It took me three days to pack it all and come to terms with grandmas death. I'm holding my cabin bag in one hand, my ticket and passport in the other. I look towards the security lane. I turn around, looking at Aaron, the man who became a brother figure to me. And Miles, my boyfriend and my love. I begin to cry as I hug Aaron.
-Bye Y/N, take care, he says.
-Don't say that... it's more of a 'see you later', I say. Aaron laugh a bit. I then look at Miles.
-I brought some candy, that you can have on your way home. A-and one of my hoodies, so you have a piece of me with you home, he says and hands me a plastic bag. I look at him.
-Oh Miles... I say and hug him, crying uncontrollably on his shoulder.
-I'm gonna miss you baby, he says weakly. I sniff.
-I'm gonna miss you too, I say we let go and I look him in the eyes. I grab my suitcase and turn to the security once again. I take some steps forward, and I can hear the guys leaving.
'Oh dammit...'
I let go of my suitcase, running towards them, grabbing Miles arm. He stops. I just look at him. Tears had been falling from his eyes. I kiss him. He kisses back and we pull apart.
-Take care you two... and don't do anything stupid while I'm gone, I say, laughing a bit. Aaron nods at me. I turn back once again and walk into security.
Miles POV
I see her disappear behind all of those people.
I wish her well, and that she makes it in time for the funeral. Aaron puts his hand on my shoulder, and we walk towards the cab area.
Will I ever see her again...?
