Y/N POV
I'm sitting on one of the benches in Shuris lab, scrolling through Instagram. I sigh of boredom and shut my phone off and watch as Shuri walks around fixing gadgets.
-Shuri, how much longer do I have to sit here? I whine. Shuri just laughs, grabbing a tool to fix something in a larger scale.
-Calm down, its only been 45 minutes! Shuri says amused. I whine again.
-But Shuriiii! I'm going back home in three days, at least let me know what you're working on! I say and pout like a baby. Shuri puts the tool down and turns around, smirking at me. She shakes her head when I try to stick my lip out further.
-Alright you big baby, come here, Shuri says and waves me over, making me smile and skip over to the desk with the gadgets on.
-This... she says and point to a gadget that's formed like half a globe.
-Is a fully body hologram projector, Shuri finishes. I nod interested.
-And That, she says and points to a couple of beads.
-Is kimono beads, Shuri explains. I nod again and look at her.
-But what do you need them for? I ask. Shuri smiles knowingly and grabs a bead, the other beads castle sticking to it, like magnets, them forming a bracelet like bond.
-They are for you... So we can see each other, even though you're in New York... Shuri says guiltily and something clicks in my head and fireworks explodes in my body.
-I'm sorry I've been so busy working on these, but I want you to have them with you on your way home so I don't have to pay for them to be shipped to you... besides, I don't trust the American mailmen... Shuri says, making me laugh in disbelief.
-Shuri! If you just had told me, I wouldn't have bothered you so much, I would've let you work! I say laughing.

-Yeah, but I wanted to spend time with you! Shuri says and I sigh. We stand in silence before I grab her hand in mine.
-Tell you what. I'll grab a chair and we can talk and listen to music while you work. Deal? I ask a smile easily. Shuri smile back.
-You have a deal...she says and leans in to kiss me.
-Princess, she finishes when she lets go. I giggle.
-Well, if we're being correct, you're the real princess here, I say and put my hands around her shoulders.
-Well, you're my princess... Shuri says and puts her hands on my waist. I laugh as she pulls me in for another kiss... but this one lasts longer.
Suddenly we hear an older man talk.
-Shuri, I thought this was your lab, not a date spot. We let go from the kiss, and see T'challa standing there, smirking at us.
-Oh shut up brother! Do you know how many times I've caught you and Nakia making out more than once in the throne room, Shuri smirks and I stifle a laugh.
-Yeah yeah... T'challa waves us off and walks out of the lab again. I shake my head and laugh.
-C'mon, help me finish these up so we can hang out and do fun stuff for the rest of your stay, Shuri says and lets go of me, making me focus on the task at hand.
The rest of the day was spent in the lab, me handing her tools and she explaining to me what she's doing. I found the whole day very... educational, so to speak.
Two days later:
We're walking around the city and eating some street food and I don't think I've ever been this happy.
-Shuri... I say, her humming in response.
-What do you want to do with our future? I ask. She stops eating for a second, to think, I suppose. I fiddle with my nails.

-Well... the stuff we built will keep us contacted and every time you get here, you can help me upgrade it, Shuri says and I smile.
-But... Uhm... Further down the line? She says unsure and puts away the food.
-I'd like to move in with you, somewhere nice with tech capabilities to continue work, but also a lot of space for us to be alone. Then, on a romantic, candle lit dinner, I'll propose and we'll get married 8 months later, to avoid wedding stress. And I want to get married with you... She says and smiles sheepishly. I can only stare at her in shock.
-I know it sounds cheesy, but I've been thinking a lot about this, and us. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Shuri says and grabs my hands. I can't help but sniffle from the tears building up behind my eyes.
-Well, that's one way to propose, I say and giggle and try not to cry. Shuri smiles.
-Well, I wanted to make sure that you have the same intentions as me with this relationship...? Shuri asks. I nod enthusiastically.
-I've never dreamed of anything else... I say and Shuri captures my lips in a sweep motion.
- You're the best, princess, I say.
-Well, you aren't half bad either, princess, Shuri says and I gladly kiss her again, just for the sake of it.
The next day:
Today is the day I go back to New York to start my studies again. I'm standing by one of my dads jets as he and T'challa are standing and talking about business a bit from me.
-I'm gonna miss you... Shuri says sadly.
-I'm gonna miss you too... But it's not like we're never gonna see each other again, I try to lift the mood.
-I'll be back before you know it, I say and place my hand on her cheek, kissing her forehead.
-I know, but it's always hard to readjust when you've left... I'll miss you beside me on the bed when we're sleeping... I'll miss your crazy dance moves and silly singing while cooking... I just miss... you, Shuri says and points to my whole body. I giggle.
-I'm gonna miss you a lot too... your witty comments and I'm gonna miss being in the lab with you, while you work at something far ahead of my understanding... I say and take Shuris hand.
-But were gonna be fine... We'll get through this, together, I remind her. She nods and smiles.
-You're honestly amazing, she says as she kisses me passionately. I smile into the kiss as I hold onto her for dear life. We part only when we hear someone clearing their voice behind us.
-It's time to go home princess, Dad says and walks past us, into the jet. I nod at him and let go of Shuri.
-And who knows, maybe I'll come visit you someday, she says, a smirk playing at her lips.
-I would like that... I say as we share another kiss before I pick up my bags and I walk into the jet.
-Goodbye king T'challa, it's always a pleasure meeting you, dad says as the engines start.
-It's a pleasure meeting you too mr. Stark! T'challa shouts over the engines at my dad. Dad waves as the door closes and we lift from the ground.

Demon Blade
Ryuken is your average 15-year old high schooler, living his life in an ordinary way, until he comes across a mysterious katana and is pulled into the world of unbelievable supernatural. An anime-inspired passion project of mine, sparked from my childhood love of shounen anime. I have big plans for this world but we'll see if I get to stick around long enough to finish it.Enjoy! Notes: 1. My writing style is mostly script-like with some 3rd person-ish narrative sprinkled in, and it is VERY dialogue-heavy. 2. It can be pretty slow, as I tend to focus more on characters rather than action. 3. Since the story is set in Japan with Japanese characters, I will be using Japanese honorifics whenever the characters are interacting with each other. To learn more about Japanese Honorifics, you can go to this website here. I apologize if I used them wrongly, or if I forgot to use them from time to time, or if it turns you off. 4. I don't have a fixed release schedule as I don't have time to write regularly at the moment. I may update tomorrow or next year. Who knows. I'm like your dad who's gone to the store for some milk. I'll be back. Cover Source
