In response, Vitaly threw knives at Alex, outlining his top half as Y/N jumped out of the way.
"I missed," Vitaly growled.
Everyone else was protesting Alex's and Y/N's idea.
"Circus has been same for generations! We make good, classic family entertainment," Vitaly insisted.
"But last few generations, families, not so entertained," Stefano pointed out.
The animals just stared at him, making him uncomfortable.
"That's right. Families not so entertained because you're just going through the motions out there. It's missing passion," Alex said.
"How one to have passion for stool poked in face?" Vitaly asked.
"Exactly! And by stool you mean chair, right?" Marty wondered, making Vitaly look at him weirdly.
"The fact is, you guys, you got stuck in a rut. You stopped pushing, you stopped taking risks. But those days are over. Because now we're going to completely change the show," Y/N said.
"Then it wouldn't be a circus, would it?" one of the puppies, Freddie, asked.
"Circus is not about the acts you do. Circus is in here," Alex told them, pointing at Freddie's chest.
He immediately looked down his dress.
"How come Freddie gets all the circus?" another puppy asked as he looked to, which earned him a punch to the face by Freddie.
"That's so not what he meant," Y/N replied, trying not to laugh.
She noticed Vitaly giving her a small smile at her efforts to not laugh.
"Circus is about following your passions, wherever they take you!" Alex continued.
"You cannot change circus. There is long tradition!" Vitaly remarked.
"That's what everybody thought, Vitaly, until those French Canadians came along, drunk off their maple syrup and cheap pharmaceuticals, and completely flipped the paradigm," Y/N explained.
"Now they play Vegas. Fifty shows a day in 52 separate venues. And one of them completely in the nude," Marty added.

"Yeah, that's right. And you know how they did it?" Alex asked.
"Take off their clothes?" Stefano guessed excitedly.
"No. They got rid of the animals," Alex answered.
"Say it ain't so!" Marty exclaimed, hugging the elephants' trunks.
The others gasped at this.
"Well, you know what I say to that! I say they can take the animals out of the circus, but they cannot take the animals out of the circus!" Alex stated.
They all looked at him, really confused.
"I mean, they cannot...I think you understand what I'm saying!" Alex said, a little less confident with a cough.
They were still confused, shaking their heads.
"They may be able to take you out of what you know, but they can't make you change who you are and what you were raised to believe," Y/N clarified.
They all understood except King Julien.
"We don't need humans because we got passion. What does a human say when he's passionate? He says, 'I'm an animal!' Well, we are animals!" Alex replied more confidently.
Everyone started cheering and Sonya roared.
"We'll make an all-animal circus! Because if we follow our passion, we can go anywhere," Alex replied.
"Anywhere!" Marty added.
"We can do anything!" Alex continued.
"Anything!" Marty exclaimed.
"If we do it together!" Alex finished.
"All of us!" Marty did as well.
They cheered at that, knowing this could be a success.
"Can I hear you say 'fur power'?" Alex asked.
"Fur power!" Gia cheered.
"Take our circus back and we'll do it together!" Y/N cheered.
Then Melman and Gloria got to talking about an act.
"You and me, baby! An act together!" Gloria said excitedly.
"I love it!" Melman agreed.

"We can do that funk and groove dance thing!" she said.
"Dance?" he asked uncertainly.
"This thing right here. Look," Gloria demonstrated then cheered as she ran off, "Me and you! We got this!"
"But I can't dance," Melman confessed quietly.
"Fur power!" the circus animals chanted.
"Chanting is fun! Chanting is fun!" Stefano did his own chant.
Gia laughed in delight as Vitaly threw a knife into the ground, frustrated.
"I do not trust this lion," Vitaly grumbled.
"Vitaly, I may not trust him, either, but I am tired of sitting and standing and rolling over," Gia replied.
"It is great tradition of sitting, standing, rolling over," he pointed out.
"You know our circus is in trouble. This could be our last chance. But we will not do this without you," she told him.
"Circus always stay together," Stefano chimed in.
"And if you trust anyone of them, I know it's Y/N. Will you still take that chance with us?" Gia wondered.
Vitaly looked at them as they gave him pleading eyes. He then finally released a sigh.
"Okay. I do one hoop," Vitaly agreed.
Gia squealed and hugged him with a giggle.
"I want a hug, too!" Stefano exclaimed.
Vitaly laughed with pride as he hugged the jaguar and sea lion and spun them around. Y/N saw this and smiled, knowing Vitaly really was a softie in the best way possible.
At that moment, Dubois got her men out of the hospital and was ready to hunt the gang down.

"I'm Screwed" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This story uses the system derived by Puddles4263 in Randidly Ghosthound. I've incorporates the Path's system into the leveling of this story. Some of the beginning paths will be similar or the same as I thought that the starting paths were very logical on how a system should start. The stories will be completely different as the characters and story arcs will be completely different. Again, thank you Puddles for allowing me to use your system, really appreciate it! I also wanted to thank ProFound Magician. Has a lot of insight into a story development and as his system is based on Ghosthound, I saw a some beginning stage skills that should be thought of in a character just starting out. If you haven't yet read Ghosthound or Genesis System you're in for a real treat when you do! Thank you both I hope my use is seen as an homage in the beginning. Hopefully my story can live up to the system.
