The next morning, Mia's POV
I woke up, feeling arms around my waist. I saw that it was alekay. I blushed, but then I relaxed and smiled. I started to pet his head and he purred in his sleep. I giggled quietly at the sound. Later we found out that he was doing the right of passage. But he thought it was a dance fight instead of a regular fight. So he lost, me, his parents and himself were banished from The Pride. I went back to teach maconga a lesson. When I got there he started calling me princess and all that and that's when I got really ticked. 🎵"Cross my heart and hope to die. I don't need another guy.. to fight MY battles.. to overshadow me. Don't you know I'm dangerous, fire burning in my blood. I got this handled!! I don't need 'rescuin'. It only means that you went up in the ranks. Cuz you'll never compare to a true king or queen." I explained. Everyone went 'OHHHHHHHH!!!' since I just roasted him. Later we found out that the watering hole was dried up and that Alekay was volunteering to find out what happened. I didn't want to lose him again, so I was going to confess how I felt for him before he left. "Alekay! Alekay, wait!" I shouted, catching up to him. He noticed I was chasing after him so he stopped. "Listen before you go, I wanted to tell you something." I explained my reason for stopping him. He looked confused at first, then said that I could tell him. But instead of saying it I just kissed him on the lips as a way of saying that I loved him.

Alex's POV
I couldn't believe it. My own Crush was kissing me before I went off the Reserve. I wrapped my arms around her waist, and kissed her back. I guess that she loves me too. When we finally needed air, we stopped kissing and we looked into each other's eyes. "I'll be back, I promise." I said. "You better come back." Mia said. "I will." I said as I was walking away. I wasn't too far when I heard Mia scream. "I LOVE YOU ALEKAY!!!" Mia screamed. "I LOVE YOU TOO MIA!!!" I screamed back. I walked away, knowing that I had someone I loved, waiting for me.

Accompanied by a group of seasoned warriors, thus far Tal has gotten by on his own meager magical talents, but when one day he wakes up to find himself back in his bed of the night before, he is faced with a challenge he must conquer alone. What to expect: This story was born of an attempt to create in world lore reasons for many of the mechanics and tropes of D&D, but you do not need to know of them to enjoy the story. It's a single POV time loop story with slow paced progression fantasy elements. The story is not one of fast-paced power ups and non-stop action, but as it progresses, the action picks up. There is a lot of magic system exploration on a system built to unify the diverse magic of D&D into one cohesive magic system. The setting is an original world with familiar races and monsters but with new unique origins and motivations. The average chapter will be 2-5k words long, most being around 3k but there are a few less than 1k, due to the nature of the story telling device I used. Book 1 is complete. Posting is on hold until I finish book 2. Book 2 progress: The rough draft is done at 141656 words as of 7/9/2022. I need to reread and edit it but Im aiming for resuming chapters in September.

Far in the future, humans have thoroughly colonized space through the use of floating colonies and artificially replicating the Earth whenever possible. Most of these endeavors have gone well, with humanity spreading across the universe like the seeds of plants floating in the wind. Yet still there lurks the great mistake, the endless station of Mobius, a megastructure which hasn't ceased its building in over a century. Dante, a man living in this megastructure, is tasked with the recording of stories told by criminals, particularly those who travel between strata. One day, a prisoner is captured claiming to be Captain Pluto, an infamous criminal thought to be fictitious by most scholars. Even more curious, he claims to hail all the way from Stratum 56, a location so far away from Dante's Stratum 999 that it would take lifetimes to traverse such a distance. Dante must discern whether or not the story is false or true, and the longer he lets Captain Pluto speak, the more difficult his task becomes. *****Average chapter length will be 10k words give or take. This isn't a very serious story for me. I'm writing this to blow off steam. Updates will happen infrequently because of this, and it will most likely be unpolished unless I begin to take it more seriously.

We all want to believe we are heroes of our own story - unless we want to be the villain, of course. At the end of everything, the Final Reaper decided he hadn’t been a hero. Driven by a desire to right the wrongs he was subjected to, he killed everyone who wronged him or his people - which turned out to be everyone that wasn’t killed by someone else first. He'd won - but it was a hollow victory. Eventually, Order’s Voice found a way out. If the only existing being would agree to give up most of his power, the Voice could reset the multiverse to an earlier time with a few minor changes. Of course, the Voice couldn't ask it that way. It could only ask if the Final Reaper was willing to start over from when Earth was first brought into Order. It was an easy decision, and yet it wasn’t. Was he willing to go through eons of pain again to not be alone? Yes. In a heartbeat. Not that his heart beat anymore. Now it would. Perhaps he could even be a hero, this time. When he landed in his old body - more or less - on Earth, the Final Reaper once again became Thomas. He was both and neither. He needed a new name for a new life. Serenity. ------------------------------------------ While this is technically a System Apocalypse story, it's a System Apocalypse that is designed to have a large percentage of the population survive and prosper. There are a lot of problems that come with the appearance of the Voice, and it's entirely possible to lose. Earth has some special opportunities, but also special challenges. The first time around, Earth won the first round and lost the second. Serenity has ten years from when the Voice arrives to prevent that from happening. It will be a group effort; Serenity can't win alone - which is difficult for someone who's been alone for as long as he has. Of course, that's only his second priority. ------------------------------------------- Updates Daily A note on the nonhuman lead tag: He isn't human, and hasn't been human for a very, very long time (or maybe not long at all, depending on how you count it). He still thinks of himself as human, either way. The content warnings are mostly to give me room to write; this fiction is not intended to be edgy, but once in a while a character will swear or someone will get seriously injured. While we're not going to space itself any time soon in the story, people from elsewhere are coming to Earth and Serenity will visit other planets. Plus, I like space imagery.
