《Have Hope》10

Alex POV
The girls and I were out shopping and exploring the city with our free time. It was me, Pinoe, Allie, Kelley, Ali, Julie, Alyssa, Emily, Christen, Mal, Sam, Jess, Rose, Lindsey, Crystal, Abby, Terina. Becky and Carli had stayed back to talk to Jill.
We had broken up into three groups and were all at different shops. I was in the group with Allie, Kelley, Ali, Pinoe, and Christen.
"So are you going to tell us what happened between you and Y/n, and why you guys are always flirting now?" Pinoe asked, looking through a rack of shirts.
"Why do you guys even want to know so badly? Nothing happened anyway. And we're not flirting!" I said firmly.
Pinoe narrowed her eyes. "Mmm whatever you say girl."
"Look, whatever you guys are thinking about Y/n and I, it's wrong. I'm straight and in a relationship. Besides all we did at the park was talk and play soccer. That's it."
"Speaking of Servando, how are you guys doing?" Christen asked, her tone curious. I sighed, this having become a sore topic since the start of our millionth fight.
"Not great. We got into a fight last week because I brought up Y/n and he got all jealous and angry and accused me of cheating on him with her. I literally brought her up complaining about her to him, why would I date her???"
My friends exchanged smug glances. "What?" I asked, feeling left out and lost.
"Nothing. Just...try to keep an open mind." Ali said to me with a wink.
"What's that supposed to me?" I asked as we left the shop. Before I got an answer, suddenly three very sweaty skateboarders rode up to us. And guess who was in the lead? Y/n. And guess who was also shirtless? Y/n.

She, Tobin, and Ash hopped off their boards and tucked them under their arms.
Kelley whistled. "Damn, you guys look fine!"
Christen and Ali nodded in agreement, eyeing their girlfriends. My eyes were glued to Y/n-well....her abs. Okay, so maybe she had great abs. And arms. And a v-line. And tattoos. But that doesn't mean anything! I can admire someone's looks and not be romantically attracted to them. Besides, Servando has all of the same things.
Y/n was currently dressed in black ripped jeans, vans, and a black Nike sports bra, with her red Champion shirt hung from her waist band. Ashlyn and Tobin were both wearing backwards hats, while Y/n's short, wavy black hair fell into her eyes. She pushed it back from her face and smiled at me.
It was like one of those slo-mo high school movie moments. The sunlight hit her in all the right places, making her bright blue eyes sparkle, and her perfect white teeth shine. Her dimples were prominent, making the whole thing even cuter.
"Hey guys." She said, making my knees weak.
Pull it together Alex! She's your friend! You're just confused because she reminds you of Serv!
"Hey, you guys have fun?" Allie asked nonchalantly. It's pretty funny to see how she was the only one in the group not affected by the sight before her. Ali and Christen were practically drooling, Pinoe seemed to be in shock, and even Kelley couldn't take her eyes off Y/n; probably because she reminds her of Hope.
"Yeah, we hit some big hills." Tobin said.
Ash nodded. "Pretty awesome. It's fun riding by the beach."
"We did almost get busted by the cops for skating on private property though." Y/n said, snickering.
"Were you guys careful?" Ali asked, both her and Christen going into Mom mode.

"Yes Babe, we were careful." Ash reassured her, pressing a kiss to her head.
"Toby come here." Christen said, wanting a kiss. Tobin chuckled and Y/n patted her on the shoulder as she walked to Christen. Now it was just Me, Kelley, Pinoe, and Y/n. Kelley and Pinoe were both still frozen and drooling, so I guess it was just Y/n and I.
"How is shopping?" She asked me, and I was finding it very hard to focus.
"Uh..what? Oh! It was good." Y/n nodded, her million dollar smile on her face. "What's up with them?" She asked, gesturing to Pinoe and Kelley, who were a few feet behind me, standing on the side walk store front next to Christen and Ali who were talking to their girlfriends.
I laughed at my friends and turned back to the rookie. "I think you broke them." I joked.
"Oh shit, my bad." Y/n chuckled.
"You guys good?" She called to them.
"Hah?" Kelley asked, coming out of her trance.
"What?" Pinoe said, looking at Kelley. They immediately started whispering about something.
"Oookay then." The taller girl said, shifting her attention back to me.
"You have any plans right now? We still have about an hour before dinner." She said, checking the time on her phone.
I shrugged. "No, not really. We should probably all drop our bags off back at the hotel if we're going to do anything." Y/n nodded. "How about you guys?" I asked, secretly hoping that she'd stay with us. I don't even know why though.
"Ash, Tobs, and I are going to skate a little bit more." I felt disappointed, but I didn't show it.
"Cool. I'll see what the girls wanna do, you guys have fun." She grinned and winked at me.
"Yo Ash, Tobs, you guys ready?" She called over to our friends. They nodded and kissed their girlfriends goodbye, and for some reason, a part of me wished Y/n would kiss me goodbye. But only on the cheek, because she's just my friend.
I walked over to my shopping group and we watched the three girls ride off. "Be safe!" Christen called. Ash flashed her a thumbs up, and then they were gone.
"Y/n is so hot." Kelley mumbled.
"Yeah man, I might go for her." Megan said.
"Dude, you're dating Sue!" Ali said, swatting Pinoe.
"I know, but maybe we can work out like a three way kinda deal."
Ali rolled her eyes, and Allie laughed.
"Ugh, she reminds me of Hope." Kelley grumbled.
"Everyone with black hair or blue eyes reminds you of Hope!" I scolded her.
"Or abs. Or tattoos." Christen added.
"Basically anyone who breaths." Pinoe said, making Kelley glare at her.
"Come on, we still have some time to shop."

Across the Realms [Dropped]
Disclaimer: I'll leave this on here for anyone to read. The last time I uploaded a chapter was nearly a year ago, and to all the readers who still kept their trust in me after I came back from my umpteenth hiatus, I am sorry. I will not carry on writing this; I started off without the correct foundations of a novel, nor commitment to fully finish it and I do not want to lie to you all once again. Maybe one day, I may decide to re-write the novel, with a new basis or at least a comprehensive starting point with many of the narrative errors cleared up; but, till then, this is goodbye. And, once again, thank you for the motivation you gave me. Even now, I see many emails come through with people commenting. Goodbye. A child blessed by the Astral. An unprecedented destiny. Watch his path, as he marches up the stairway of Heaven. A March of a Sovereign. [Adventure, Wuxia, Martial Arts, Fantasy] This is a Qihuan novel; it has eastern and western fantasy elements. More often than not in Xianxia or Xuanhuan there is a severe lack of character development, being a western writer I'm changing that. My characters, from my totally unbiased view, feel fleshed out and actually have emotions. This is my first attempt at a novel, I'm writing as a means to better convey my thoughts. I will, hopefully, steadily improve chapter-by-chapter. I'm very open to feedback and constructive criticism. As one can see this is a cultivation novel, so you know how this goes. I've decided to jump-start the whole rags-to-riches scenario. He is strong from the start and is given the utility to do so. *The cover art is not my own, all rights reserved to the owner. I will take it down if necessary. *The style of the recent chapters is comparatively different than Chapter 1.
