"Ugghh, who the hell is trying to wake me up at 9 in the morning!?" I groaned. Opening my one eye I switched off the alarm and went to sleep but I knew it was only for some seconds because after that.....Smack! A pillow landed on my face and I groaned again.
"5 more minutes Jess!" I yelled grabbing the pillow on my face and covering my ears with it. Maybe it will serve as 'soundproof to Jess's yelling'.
"Okay. Sleep as long as you want to. I am going to head out for work, without you." Jessica shouted. Oh for sleep's sake, bring the volume down.
Don't get me wrong. I love Jessica with all my heart and she is my best friend. Heck she is the closest to what I can call as family. Talking about family, how can I forget Jake? Jake is my other best friend but unlike Jess he doesn't live with me in this small rented apartment.
Being an orphan is definitely hard but I am happy to stay like that. At least partially. Okay enough with my riddled thoughts, if I continue for a second longer everyone will go crazy.
"Earth to Eva! If you don't wake your ass up right now, I am going to eat pizza without you." Jess yelled breaking me from my chain of thoughts and slumber.
"No!" I cried.
"I am awake see." I said and hurriedly-almost-stood up on my bed only to fall on the floor because my legs got tangled with the sheets. Oops.
Don't judge me. I love pizza more than anything else.
"I can see that very clearly my best friend" said Jess rolling her eyes. Her chocolate brown eyes were something which I have always admired. Her brown silky hair were almost of the same length as me. She had the perfect hourglass figure which was currently latent with the layers of comfy clothes clad on her.
"You love me anyways" I said with a smirk as I gathered myself and got up from the floor. That hurt. Jess looked at me playfully and shaking her head took off from my room to get ready.
Then I quickly got freshened up and put on my waitress dress. It was a pale pink color attire with white lace. It is very easy to imagine, it's something you might see every other waitress wearing. If you ask me if being a waitress was something that I dreamt of becoming then the answer is a straight no. Ever since I gained consciousness, I have only dreamt of becoming a dancer. Had the situations and circumstances been in my favor, I would have achieved my dreams but sadly life isn't in anyone's control. Except for the almighty of course.

Shaking my head, I went to the kitchen to find Jess already ready. She is fast. But not as much as me. I have the record of getting ready in 95 seconds. Yeah, being lazy teaches you that.
"Lets go I am ready". I said and we both took our things, locked the apartment and left for work. The café we worked in, wasn't really far from our home. It was just a 15 minutes walk. Neither of us actually had a car, so it was better to walk then to spend money on taxi or cab.
And honestly the best thing about being with Jessica is that I don't have to be embarrassed or pretend to be someone else in front of her. She was in many ways like me too. Her parents are still alive but they are divorced. She stayed with them till she 15 years old but when the family arguments started turning violent and abusive, she left home. She is the person who never takes shit so that explains her escaping the 'hell' as she calls it. Two years back, she got the news over the phone that her parents were divorced now and she had the choice to stay with anyone of them. But Jess being Jess declined the offer and said that she was 18 and as a adult was allowed to do as she pleases. Thus she continues to live in with me. Yes, she is actually one of the most mature and strongest people I have met in my entire life.
On our way to the café, we stopped at the pizza shop and had pizza in our breakfast. And it was heaven. Of course it was. We quickly finished up, paid and after that we arrived at the café.
*
"It's a Monday morning so there are going to be many customers coming to have coffee as a cure for lack of sleep. Extra work for today." Jess said, and I nodded at her groaning. Nevertheless the arrival of the first customer, made us separate out and get on with the work.
It was around 7 in the evening when it seemed like no one was going to come which meant our shift was over. Barista café was not a very popular stoppage, but being in a busy spot we had quite a lot of customers every day. The staff consisted of 10 waiters and waitresses combined. It was not much but enough.
We were starting to finish up when suddenly the door of café opened. I looked around to see that everyone was almost done finishing up.

"I will take care of them you finish here." I announced as I turned around to see who was there but the person in front made my jaw almost drop. In front of me was a well built, tall and muscular man with sharp jawline, chiseled hair and sparking grey eyes that resembled dark yet mysterious clouds. Uhh..why does this match the description of the hot males I have ready about on wattpad?
He was handsome, no doubt, and he seemed a little bit familiar. Maybe he is a childhood friend of mine or maybe a serial killer whose photo I saw on streets or even worse he is.....
A sound of clearing throat broke my chain of thoughts. I raised my head above to lock my eyes with the beautiful grey one. I envy those eyes, too damn much.
"If you are done ogling then shut your mouth and get out of my way." The man said harshly catching me so off guard that I almost jumped. I gathered myself, cleared myself and quickly got aside. He went and sat on the farthest and most secluded table. I straightened myself and went to take the order.
"What can I get for you sir?" I asked politely even though he wasn't deserving.
Stop judging Eva. He may be a coconut. Hard exterior, soft interior.
Or maybe not.
He ignored me and continued looking down into his phone. Even while looking in the phone and not doing anything he looked hot. Up close, I could see that he had grey eyes with golden flakes, a sharp jawline and a frown on his face. He was wearing a suit which screamed that he was rich. I was busy checking out when a voice interrupted.
"I parked the car Ace. The café needs a larger parking area man." Said a boyish yet manly voice. I turned around to find another handsome man with brown eyes who was dressed in casuals, with a smile which showed his dimples and made him look cute.
"Hello beautiful" he said to me and gave a wide smile. I gave him a small smile and muttered a small 'HI'. Then I repeated myself again and asked about the order. The brown eyed man said with a smile "A cappuccino and a black coffee without sugar please". I nodded and went to get their orders. Why was it so hot back there?
The brown eyed man seemed nice and gentleman kind of person but the grey eyed one which I guess was Ace, was rude and arrogant as hell. Shaking my head, I prepared their orders and quickly came back with the orders ready. When I went near them they were whispering about something but suddenly stopped when they saw me coming. I kept the orders and asked "Anything else I could serve, Sir?"
"Umm no that's all. Thank you, and call me Ryder." The brown eyed man said with a smile. I gave a smile and was turning around to leave when Ace or whatever said "Hell you should have some standards Ryder, at least flirt with someone of your league and not a waitress." and scoffed.
How can anyone be so rude ? is he on periods or is he high? or better is he a run away patient of an asylum? maybe possibilities are there who knows?....
I tried to ignore but it hurt. "I am really sorry for him. He just had a bad day." Ryder said. I smiled and said "It's fine. Do tell me if you need anything else" and with that I turned and left. Ryder was apologizing even though he didn't do anything and that jerk didn't even look apologetic.
After a while Ryder came and paid for the order.
"Thank you for visiting , Ryder. Hope to see you again" I said with a genuine smile. He smiled and turned to leave but then turned around. I looked at him in confusion.
"Can I have the pleasure of knowing your beautiful name miss?" said Ryder.
"I am Eva Johns, pleased to meet you" I said with a polite smile. He said "The pleasure is all mine Eva. Hope to see you again." And with that he turned and left. The jerk had probably left before.
"You idiot, talking to two of the hottest billionaire bachelors all alone" Jess said from behind and hit me playfully and smirked. I looked at Jess in confusion and asked
"Were they billionaires?"
She looked at me with a look which said you-should-be-in-an-asylum. I shrugged and said 'let's go home I am hungry', and with that we left for home.
