《Dimitri's Promise》Chapter 3

A few days have passed since the birth of their son and Dimitri couldn't be happier. However, he was nervous since tomorrow was Thursday. He was pacing the room, trying to decide on how to tell this to Rosalie. He knows she won't attack him, but he knows how she is when she freaks out. She'll make some squeaking noise before passing out. He bit his lip and finally decided on just winging it, but he would make sure she wasn't holding the baby. He sighed and walked out of his office, following Rosalie's scent until he found her sitting in the family room.
She was eating a sandwich while talking to Catherine, Felicity, and Rachel. He awkwardly cleared his throat, shifting a little on his feet. His mate snapped her head up, almost immediately her eyes lit up and a beautiful smile appeared on her face. She gently handed her son over to an eager Catherine before running over and kissing him.
He chuckled, "Missed me already?"
"Well, you didn't sleep in the bed last night because you decided to do patrols with Xavier." she grumbled, feigning hurt.
He raised an eyebrow before kissing her once again, "I'm sorry."
"Never do that again unless I can come with you. That way, I can help protect you."
"Yes, Luna."
She scowled at him as he smiled innocently at her, he knew it bothered her when people called her luna. She liked it better when they called her Rose or Rosalie. Except with him she liked it when he called her baby girl and not luna. It made her feel as if he was below her and she didn't like that one bit. She had dealt with being called alpha her whole life when all she wanted was to be called her nickname or full name. She was thankful when her new family had called her by her name and not by her title, even when they found out she was an alpha.

"I have to speak with you, in private." he stated, suddenly seeming nervous.
The other women gave him a curious look as Rosalie asked if they could watch Elijah for a few minutes. Catherine nodded, Rosalie thanked her before following Dimitri back to his office. Once the doors were closed he took a deep breath.
"My parents are coming tomorrow afternoon." he stated, preparing himself for her to freak out.
Her eyes widened and her face paled, but she didn't make a sound nor did she pass out. Instead, she walked over to him and smacked him on the back of the head.
"Ow! What was that for!?" he groaned.
She put her hands on her hips and narrowed her eyes, and at that moment, he knew he was in trouble. "What was that for? You tell me the day before that your parents are coming! I've never met them! And do they even know about us?" she fumed.
He gulped before laughing nervously, "Well, now they do..."
Another smack.
"Damn it, woman, stop it!" he whined.
She rolled her eyes, "Oh, stop acting like a baby."
He continued to scowl at her as he rubbed the back of his head, but Rosalie wasn't having it. Instead, she walked around and stole his stash of reese's. His eyes widened as she smirked and shoved one in her mouth, he growled and lunged at her. She laughed as she sidestepped him, causing the alpha to slide across the desk and fall onto the ground. Along with all his papers, the phone, the stapler, the laptop, and pens.
He winced as he slowly sat up and rubbed his shoulder, guilt formed in her chest as she saw the pained look in his eyes. She sighed and placed the chocolate down before kneeling beside him.

"You okay?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.
He nodded, "Yeah."
"Good, you're stupid for lunging at me. You know how fast I can be." she scolded.
He rolled his eyes, but smiled at her anyways. He leaned in, placing his lips on her's, he kissed her with passion. She responded by a small moan, but he knew he had to hold himself back. They made out for a few more minutes until Rosalie mumbled about needing to get back to the baby.
"We're going to try having him sleep in his room tonight, right?" he whispered against her neck as he sucked and kissed it.
She nodded, "Y-yes."
"Good, because I want you...badly."
"I know."
After their heated moment in his office they fixed themselves up and left, he quickly walked up to their room. Ranting about needing to take a cold shower as Rosalie walked into the family room with a smirk. The women raised their eyebrows, curious as to what she had just done. She sighed as she sat down, she carefully took her son back.
"I love teasing him." was her only explanation.

How will their completely different lives allow, or prevent them from getting what they want? Expect some drama, flirty lines, steamy scenes, funny best friends, and perhaps, an overall epic love connection. ~Carter came around the corner as his eyes darkened with a predatory gaze. Oh no. He took a step forward, minimalizing the distance with every dominating stride, as I froze in my spot. My breath hitched as his arms finally encircled my waist and his eyes locked with mine. In one swift motion, he flipped my body so my back was pressed against his chest and hands gripped the curve of my hips. "What game are you trying to play at Valerie?" he spoke in a husky voice. Goosebumps danced along my skin as his hot breath fanned against the shell of my ear and his fingertips lit a trail of blazing heat along the length of my arm. Mentally shaking myself from the trance of that which is Carter Bryson, I tilted my head towards him and whispered; "One where you'll lose." Quickly escaping his hold on me before the tension became unbearable, I spun on my heel to face him and slowly backed away towards the exit. "Good luck though." I added mischievously. With a smirk and a devilish glint in his eyes that could even give hell a run for its money, he replied; "I'm not a player though, baby. I'm the gamemaker."~❗️Mature content.
