I huffed out in frustration while throwing my phone on the bed, Diya hasn't come home since yesterday and I was worried, and to top it all off, it was Saturday which meant I had to go to Xavier as per the agreement, I tried calling her again but still no answer.
She wasn't picking up my calls and I didn't know where the f*ck she was, I thought Xavier told the police about her involvement in the case but then again he wasn't one to strike sneakily, he would do it in front of me just for his satisfaction.
I was anxious about spending the weekend with him and now Diya was missing, something wasn't adding up and I was losing my mind due to the itch in the back of my mind that was constantly prompting me that something was severely wrong.
My phone buzzed on the bed and I hurriedly picked it up thinking of it being Diya, my frown returned when I saw his message.
F*cked up boss/ex-boyfriend/current fiáncee:: Mr Gibbs will pick you up.
And nothing else, no morning, no nothing. I packed my bag with the few things I needed and got ready, soon enough I heard a knock on my door, grabbing my bag and slipping into my heels I rushed to the front door, opening it to find Mr Gibbs waiting outside with a small smile on his face.
"Good morning Mr Gibbs," I politely greeted him with a small smile and he greeted me back, telling me to follow him, my eyebrows furrowed when I saw him using the back exit instead of the front one.
We both exited simultaneously, encircled by bodyguards as soon as we stepped out, he opened the back door of Rolls Royce for me and I swiftly got in, soon after he slipped into the driver's seat and started driving.
"Me king was adamant on taking you to him safely that's why he asserted them to follow us," I nodded in understanding, turning around to glance at the two pairs of sleek Audi following us.
"That's fine Mr Gibbs, thank you for picking me up and sorry for the trouble," he waved me off playfully saying it was his job.
Soon we reached the dreaded building once again, Luke waiting for me at the same spot where he was at first when I arrived here with Xavier, I inhaled heavily before getting out of the car, thanking Mr Gibbs once again and walking in Luke's direction, he smiled upon noticing me but all I did was frown while looking for Xavier but he was nowhere.
"Mr King is waiting for you in the penthouse," Luke answered my non-spoken question when he noticed the visible confusion on my face.
The elevator ride to the uppermost floor was silent, I was in deep thought about Diya's possible locations and what I was going to say when I see Xavier again. Taking out my phone I messaged Diya to call me once she discerns this before putting it back in my clutch.
The elevator opened with a dinge, indicating us that we have arrived, exiting from it I walked towards the front door with Luke closely following behind, the same line of bodyguards trailing along the entrance of his penthouse.
I turned the knob and to my surprise the door opened, Luke smiled in acknowledgement one last time before closing the door, leaving me inside. I walked inside while taking the elegant and familiar interior in, I half expected Xavier to be waiting for me but there was not a single sign of him anywhere in the living room.

I glanced at my watch to see it showing 10 in the morning, confusedly I strolled into the kitchen to grab myself a glass of water, after drinking the water I slumped down on the living's room couch, turning on the TV and binging Netflix to pass my time, cause what else I could do here instead of bickering around with Xavier.
I continued watching some series I found for some time when my eyes starting dropping, I was feeling sleepy due to sleeping very late last night, I was busy finding Diya but still, I had no luck in that.
Slowly the screen in front of me diminished and darkness started intensifying, soon I gave up to fatigue and dodged off on the couch.

I woke up to slight clinking noises, slowly opening my eyes I rubbed them to wipe the sleep off, looking for the source of sounds while standing from the couch and massaging my neck to get rid of the crick I got due to awkward sleeping position.
I entered the kitchen to see Xavier roaming around shirtless, serving food on a plate silently. I leaned onto the wall with my arms crossed under my chest.
"I'm not hungry," I stated sternly, anticipating a snark reply from him but all he did was pick up the plate and place it on the dining table wordlessly, not even glancing at me in return.
"I said I'm not h—," I stopped abruptly upon noticing him sitting down and eating the food he just served, my frown intensified when I saw nothing other than his take away trash on the counter.
He ordered Italian and was devouring it while totally ignoring me, I stomped towards the kitchen to see if he had ordered anything for me but he seriously didn't.
"Where's mine?" I blurted out before I could stop myself.
"Use your hands," his reply was almost immediate and curt, not a single tinge of amusement or annoyance, just plain void answer.
"Bu—" before I could say something else, he stood up from his seat, picked up his plate and ascended the stairs, leaving me alone with no food.
When he was finally out of sight I huffed in shock, what the heck?! I was hungry too! His indifferent behaviour provoked me to get annoyed, I slammed the trash into the dustbin before yelling loudly, making sure to let him hear me.
"Great! F*cking great!! You asshole I hope you choke on your food!" I didn't get any reply from him in return which only made me scoff in frustration, I decided and started preparing my own damn food myself.
When I was finally done preparing I served myself and sat at the dining table to start eating, I was in the middle of munching my food when I saw him coming down with his empty plate, placing it in the basin and walking out wordlessly.
Yeah, don't talk to me, like I care.

I was focused on checking the personal accounts of King's family that were affixed to the company, someone withdrawal two billion dollars from it and I was trying to find out where the f*ck was this much money invested, my gaze diverted from my laptop in a whole two hours when a knock resonated on my bedroom's door, sighing I plopped the laptop aside and went to the door, unlocking and pulling it open only to see Xavier standing there with a poker face.
"Yes?" I asked confused by his presence, he didn't stay in the same visual space as me the whole day let alone tried to converse with me.

"Get ready till eight," I glanced at the clock to see it showing 6:30 in the evening and swiftly turned to him perplexed.
"Why?"
He tucked his hands in the pockets of his sweats while uninterestingly answering."We're going out for dinner," I pouted when he ordered rather than asking even when it was just for keeping the engagement true, it was better to oblige instead of getting in trouble.
Talking of trouble, Diya still didn't contact me and I was slowly getting more anxious over time, I am just moments away from accusing Xavier of commandeering her.
I nodded my head quietly and he left without saying anything else, he was acting weird, closing the door I decided to shower and get ready for the night because it was for making the engagement seem more believable.
Taking a relaxing bath in the extremely exotic bathroom I came out with a towel wrapped around my body, I rummaged through the expensive closet that he so generously bought for me for a dress suitable according to the circumstance.
I was skimming through clothes when my eyes stuck on a black Chanel high thigh slit dress, shimmery in texture, it was pure sexy and teasing, I knew I need to wear it as soon my gaze fall onto it.
Picking it out I quickly dressed in it, setting my hair in a natural wavy texture with dark burgundy lipstick and light eye makeup to go with the look, looking at myself in the mirror was a whole another story, the dress was hugging me at the right place, generously highlighting my rack and giving me the needed sensual touch.
By the time I got ready only ten minutes were left before time, I slipped into my black stilettos heels and hurried out of my room after grabbing my clutch.
Descending down the stairs I saw Xavier dressed in a black checkered suit, his hair sleeked back in perfection while his face held a fierce look when he was talking to Luke who was attentively listening to him, his head turned towards me upon hearing my footsteps, I noticed this lips moving to curse but not outwardly.
I smirked inwardly knowing what the heck was the problem, I was the m*therfucking problem, a sexy one. He dismissed Luke before I could properly stand beside them leaving us two alone, I smiled at him and interweaved our arms playfully.
"Can we go now?" I asked and he nodded smoothly, masking my effect on his body, I feel him shuddering when I touched his arm and it made me satisfied. We exited his penthouse side by side, followed by his bodyguards simultaneously, he guided me towards the personal elevators and we swiftly entered inside, only two of us.
"There are reporters at the entrance, just a reminder for acting accordingly," he muttered coldly and I nodded in acknowledgement to his advice even though it was a sarcastic comment.
The elevators opened and we stepped out, instantly encircled by his bodyguards once again, his hand wrapping around my waist possessively as the sea of reporters rushed towards us, tossing questions at us, mainly about when we were getting married, I glanced at Xavier to see him faking a billion-dollar smile, but it wasn't reaching his golden-brown eyes, they were void.
I faked a smile at the cameras as well, making sure to flaunt and give a good show of my sexiness, it's the only thing that the world wanted anyways.
We were about to walk away in the direction of his buggati when one of the reporters questioned accusingly.
'But what about your affair with Mr Marino, Ms Rajput?'
I stiffened only to be dragged back when Xavier halted abruptly, his hold on me tightened as he turned around in rage, "Don't degrade me and my fiáncee by relating us to bastard son of Dainon family,"
I stopped breathing at his words.
Umm...Excuse me? My conscience perked up.
I couldn't believe if he just said that, my brain wasn't grasping on the situation at all, only one doubt was swirling inside my head, how could Stephano be the bastard son of the Dainon family? He was a Marino.
But before I could express my confusion we were bombarded with thousands of questions at once, reporters who weren't clicking pictures before starting going crazy with their flashes.
'Are you stating that Mr Stephano Marino is the bastard son of Mr Rafael Dainon, Mr King?'
'Or are you trying to say that he is the bastard son of Mrs Dainon?'
He didn't say anything else when he turned around, dragging my very stiff body along with him, I glanced at him in confusion only to see him smirking tauntingly at me, if this news was real then Stephano was in for a huge scandal.
My trail of thoughts and worry were halted by Xavier opening the door for me, I absentmindedly thanked him and tried to get in but he caught my arm before I could do so, slowly leaning toward my ear and whispering, "I warned you when you challenged me and decided to go a date with him that I'll make you watch his business crumble down slowly," his chilled voice sending shivers down my spine, I exhaled staggeringly upon thinking about how easily he resolved every complication that was stopping him from having me, he smiled on noticing my pale face and softly left my arm, gently nudging me to get inside and I did before he closed the door behind me.
Rounding the car and getting in as well, he relaxed on his seat, sighing and looking at me with a smile while I met his gaze with my disappointing one.
"Don't look at me like I separated you from the love of your life, instead I simplified it for you," his voice sounding irritating, and jealous at once, Mr Gibbs started driving and soon we were out of his building's area.
I ignored him and hurriedly pulled out my phone, messaging Stephano about what Xavier did and to call me as soon he see this, to at least give him a head start before any news or tabloid could be published.
"Messaging him about what happened?" He asked casually but I knew him better than that, he was boiling in rage deep inside.
"That's none of your business," I spitted out before turning away from him, towards the window and checking my phone to see if there's any message from Diya.
And the next thing I knew was my phone snatched and flung out of the window.
"What the f*ck Xavier?!" I exclaimed stunned by his abrupt reaction, he on the other hand ignored me and casually slumped down on his seat, leaving me seething in anger.
"Why did you do that?!" I asked again but received the same reaction as before, nothing at all, I huffed before glaring out of the window.
"You remember about the pictures inside that phone right, nakey ones will ring a bell," I asked sarcastically, trying to use the same plan as before but instead of unnerving he smiled while trudging closer to me, pulling out his phone and showing me a pic of a very damaged phone on it.
"Why are showing me this?"
"How absurd that you can't even recognise your own phone, anyways I don't think it will work anymore but anyhow Luke has it," he answered pocketing back his phone and turning away from me while I stared dumbly at him, he just retrieved my ruined phone so no one else could have it.
I can't believe I'm going to say this but I think I underestimated his possessive nature for me.

Our car stopped in front of his seven-star restaurant, Black Heaven. he stepped out ahead of me and opened the door for me with a fake smile on his face, I returned the favour by softly settling my hand in his and exiting. Our faces were just mere centimetres away from each other when he whispered, his smile never once staggering.
"There's paparazzi all around, try not to cause a scene," I pouted at his comment while slowly whispering back.
"I think you're forgetting promises I made to you,"
I didn't give him chance to retort, swiftly braiding our arms and guiding him inside the restaurant where a queue of employees was ready to look after us, their manager trying his best not to sweat in front of him but fashionably failing in doing so, he hurried towards us, greeting and requesting us to follow him.
He guided us to the topmost floor towards the private area, opening the door and gesturing to go inside, we went inside alongside only for me to come to a complete halt at my very first step after taking in the grace of the huge room.
The room was structured with a transparent roof and rectangular clear pools with bleeding hearts floating in them trailing on our either side, soft blue and rosy light adjusting the atmosphere inside the room while a beautiful candlelit table was placed in the centre of the room, giving an ethereal look to the small balcony at the end. I sucked a deep breath in at the stunning arrangement, it was beautiful.
I didn't notice when I left Xavier behind to look around the clear pools decorated with my favourite flowers, my heart melted upon seeing the view outside and then at the view above us.
Faded moonlight reaching us, my gaze meeting his coincidentally only to see him smiling at me and then only I realised that I was smiling as well, kneeling beside the pool to touch those small red flowers floating in there.
"Do you like it?" I heard him ask and I nodded my head absentmindedly, enthralled by the beauty of the moon shining on the bleeding hearts.
By the time I stood up with resistance to leave the poor flowers alone, he was already standing with my chair pulled out for me, I coughed to control my smile from blossoming even more and walked to him, gently settling down on my seat while thanking him.
He settled down as well, unbuttoning his checkered suit jacket to give me a look at his almost see-through white shirt whose upper two buttons were already very much open and showing off his smooth skin.
Soon the waiter came in with two menus in his hands, giving either of us one and smoothly leaving us alone once again. I stared at him silently selecting his food while my mind twirled around only one thing.
"You do realise that this is our first date? Even if it is a fake one," I muttered the last bit of my sentence but he clearly heard it when he looked up with a poker face, great, asshole Xavier was back.
"It could be real if you want it to be," I stilled at his reply, I anticipated many retorts but this was not one of them, ignoring his intense stare I gulped down the water from the glass that was already placed there.
Awkward was the correct way to describe the feeling I was experiencing when he continued peering at me like I was some sort of unique bug. Picking up the menu I held it right in front of my face to stop him from staring at me but I frowned as soon as my gaze landed on the names of dishes.
It was French, Black Heaven was a French restaurant? How come I didn't know?
I continued glaring down at the different names, moving my mouth to make a decent pronunciation of them but I failed fashionably, I was good at many things but speaking French wasn't one of them.
Soon the waiter came back to take our orders and me being the sucker at pronouncing french started to embarrass myself for once and for all but before I could mutter any syllable his husky voice cut me off directed towards the waiter.
"We will have two Boeuf bourguignon and Château Mouton Rothschild Pauillac wine along with Chocolate soufflé for the dessert," French smoothly rolling off his tongue, surprising me a little when he didn't even stutter once.
