"If we could get the other victims to follow this nurse, we just want to make sure they're lungs are clear of any smoke." A lady nurse said.

"Is it okay if I come with them?" Alexis asked sniffling.

"Oh no ma'am that's perfectly fine." The nurse smiled leading the way.

Nyla silently walked behind the nurse holding Ja'Seem's hand.

Ja'Seem hasn't said a word since they arrived at the hospital.

Raelyn had finally settled down in Alexis's arm sucking her fingers.

"Can you three sit on the bed, we're gonna get you guys in and out so you can go with your family."

They all sat on the bed as two other nurses walked in.

"Okay I need everybody to take deep breaths." The main nurse instructed.

Nyla and Ja'Seem complied but Raelyn just stared at them.

"Okay we'll do her last since she's the youngest." One of the other nurses said.

Alexis watched her sister and nephew get checked out making sure to watch for any bad signs.

"Okay these two sound good, are you guys feeling dizzy or short of breath?"

"No" Nyla mumbled.

Ja'Seem just shook his head swinging his legs back and forth.

"That's great. Now for lil mama I just need somebody to hold her." The nurse said referring to Raelyn.

"I'll do it. I'm her brother." Ja'Seem mumbled.

Alexis gave Raelyn to Ja'Seem and he sat down in the chair.

The nurses started hooking her up to a machine to check her heart rate and lungs.

"Ma Maaaaa." Raelyn cried kicking the nurses.

"Sssh FatFat, it's okay." Ja'Seem said rubbing her ear.

He knew it helped calm her down and eventually it would put her to sleep.

"I want mommyyy." She whined hiding her head in his neck.

"Can y'all hurry up? Y'all making my lil sister cry and I need to go check on my mama." Ja'Seem sighed.

The nurses nodded and quickly took down Raelyn's vitals.

"Is she okay?" Alexis asked.

"She's fine." The nurse nodded.

"Okay thank you,"

"I'm so sorry this happened to your family, I'm praying for y'all and I hope all is well." The main pediatrician said.

"Thanks." Alexis mumbled.

Nyla had walked out the room back to the waiting room. Ja'Seem followed holding a whiny Raelyn.

"Is my mama okay?" Ja'Seem asked looking at the ground.

"We just have to pray baby. Your mom is strong she'll pull through." Ms. Taylor sniffled wiping her cheek.

"Da Daaaaa." Raelyn whined reaching for Jamari.

Jamari stared at the wall zoned out. He honestly didn't even hear Raelyn's cries. All he could hear was when the paramedics said Reagan didn't have a pulse.

"Da?" Ja'Seem called out sitting next to him.

Jamari finally snapped out of his trance and looked down at his kids.

"My bad, let me get her." He said grabbing Raelyn.

"Da Da mommy go bye bye." Raelyn cried harder.

Jamari honestly didn't know what to say so he just rubbed her back and played with her ear.

"Mama please don't leave us." Ja'Seem whispered to himself.

Jamari wiped his face and pulled Ja'Seem in for a hug. As soon as Seem felt his father's embrace he broke down.

"Da I'm scaredddd, I just want to see her." Ja'Seem sobbed.

Jamari had bit his lip trying to hold his sobs in.

Everybody in the waiting room watched the little family and some shedded tears themselves.

"IT'S NOT FAIR, IT'S NOT FAIR DAD, THAT'S OUR MOM." Ja'Seem yelled.

"I-I got us Seem, I swear to god I got us." Jamari sniffled holding his kids tightly.

"I-I should've t-tried harder, Bu-Bubba I'm so sorry."'Nyla cried walking over to him.

"Nyla, this ain't yo fault." Jamari sniffled wiping his face.

"S-She told me t-to tell you a-and Lex to take care of Rae a-and that she loved all of us." Nyla cried.

"S-She told me to get out of the house and to take them with me." Nyla sobbed dropping to the floor.

"I SHOULDV'E HELPED HER OUT." She yelled.

Alexis stood from her seat and helped Nyla up.

"Look at me Nyla." Alexis said.

Nyla shook her head looking down.

"LOOK AT ME NYLA." Alexis said holding her face in her hands.

"This is not your fault, you did everything you could , and you saved your nephew and niece. You're a fucking hero. Reagan is a fighter and she will be so proud to hear what you did for her kids." Alexis said looking Nyla in her eyes.

"Bu—No but's we got faith and we gone use that and wait for that doctor to come out here to tell us that Reagan is alive."

Nyla nodded her head and hugged Alexis sniffling.

"Mari you want me to take her?" Alexis asked referring to a now sleeping Raelyn.

He quickly shook his head. "No, I got her."

"Ja'Seem sleep too?" He asked her.

Alexis looked at her nephew then nodding her head.

Omari was boiling hot right now. He was itching to kill anybody who was involved. He had already called the trap members and everyone was on high alert looking for anything suspicious.

3 hours later....

"Family of Reagan Davis" The surgeon called out.

When the family stood he immediately swallowed the lump in his throat.

Everybody stood so fast and eagerly that he hated to be the bearer of the bad news.

Jamari carefully layed Raelyn down next to Ja'Seem and walked up to the doctor.

"Well—The first bullet entered on her lower left-hand side rupturing her appendix. Now we tried to save it but unfortunately we couldn't so we had to remove it so it wouldn't cause any internal infections. She was lucky that it entered at a 45 degree angle which means it missed her ovaries and intestines." He explained to them, causing Jamari to tear up.

"Now as you know she was in critical condition when we brought her in so she did flat line once..but we brung her back. The second bullet unfortunately punctured her Aorta. We did a open aortic surgery to repair it. We inserted in a occlusion balloon just so she can be stabilized. Since she was in that house for so long her lungs are filled with smoke inhalation and fluid. Due to the intense shock and loss of blood she slipped into a coma. This will prevent any brain damage. " He added on and by now Jamari was on the floor bawling his eyes out.

"If you guys would like to see her she's in the ICU unit in room 8."

Jamari sobbed beating on the floor. "FUCK"

"C'mon bro, we gotchu." Omari said helping him up.

"Bro thats m-my girl." He cried.

"And your girl pulled through, we gotta have faith in her bro, we gone get them niggas, for now go get your kids so we can go see Ray." Omari stated.

Alexis held onto Nyla while she cried.

Jamari walked over and picked Raelyn up making sure to hold her tightly.

"You can get Seem fa me?" He asked Khalil.

Khalil nodded and picked Ja'Seem up.

They all got on the elevator and rode up to the Intensive Care Unit.

Once they reached it Jamari stood at the door and took a deep breath.

"We here with you." Ms. Taylor reminded him.

He nodded his head and opened the door to Reagan's room.

They all filed into the room and just looked at her silently.

The steady beeps from her monitors seemed to be the only thing keeping everyone at ease.

Her hair was wrapped up in a bun. Her arms were filled with IV drips, and she had cords coming out of her nose and mouth.

Jamari went over to her bed and pulled up a chair.

"I swear on my fucking life, Imma find who did this to you and put them in the dirt." He rasped out.

He grabbed her hand and kissed it. "I-I love you Reagan."

I feel so bad for the last chapter, reading all of y'all comments made me tear up again. I'm sorry guys

Anyways this the last update until probably Tuesday cause y'all way too spoiled.

Should I make a wattpad instagram ? Like it would include sneak peaks of chapters and stuff.

So our babies are good health wise, however mentally they're all traumatized.

Ja'Seem is so young but so protective and we love to see it.

He even offers to to hold Rae while she got her check-up, what y'all think about that?

What y'all think about Raelyn kicking the nurse ?

Ja'Seem even rushed the nurses, lol how y'all feel about that?

It hurts to hear Raelyn say that her mommy went bye bye right? She's just so young and going through so much

Ja'Seem finally broke down? Y'all expected that cause I did. We finally get to see the more emotional side of him.

Nyla is blaiming herself? How y'all feel about that?

Alexis reassuring Nyla, y'all think she gave good advice ?

How y'all feel about hearing all of the injuries Reagan endured?

Jamari couldn't take it? I mean who could take hearing that their significant other flatlined?

Omari gave some encouraging words, he's a good friend.

Jamari told Reagan he loved her y'all think it was vital to say it right then and there?

I love them so much!!
