《The Angry Birds Movie: Silver Lining》Preparations

Silver found a way for the pigs to fly, but she still had one question:
"Where are we going?" she asked Leonard.
"First, we're going to make a stop at a small island to gather some food," Leonard answered. "Then, we shall be heading for our new home. A new land called... The New Land."
"What's it like?" Silver asked.
"It's a beautiful place," Leonard replied. "With beautiful forests, crystal clear water, and probably the biggest mountain you'll ever see in your life."
"Wow," Silver gasped. "It sounds amazing."
"Oh, it is," Leonard assured her, hugging her. "And that's where we're going."
Silver yawned slightly and began to fall asleep.
"Ross, take Silver to her quarters," Leonard ordered his tiny assistant.
"You got it," Ross replied, obeying his master.
That same day, on Bird Island, Red was making sure everything was in order.
For decorations, Matilda made flower chains and tied them to the trees, Stella added jars of fireflies for lighting, Gale used gold berries for table centerpieces, and Willow painted a giant mural for the stage.
For music, Shakira wrote a song to sing, Poppy was doing the drums, Bubbles was playing a guitar and Dane had his saxophone.
For concessions, Bomb and Dahlia made most of the food, Hal made his famous fruit cocktails, and Chuck was going to... spike the punch. Don't ask.
"Well, I guess that's everything," Red figured.
"Mr. Red!" three voices cheered. It was the three Blues, Jay, Jake and Jim. Five years ago, Red saved them as an egg, along with many other eggs, from being eaten by the villainous pigs. And they loved him.
"Hey guys!" Red greeted as they jumped into his arms. "Whoa, you're getting big!"

"We've been eating our bugs," Jake pointed out.
"Good for you!" Red applauded. "You coming to the party tonight?"
"Of course!" Jay answered. "Mama said we're old enough to go places now."
"Perfect," Red smiled. "See you tonight."
After a quick hug goodbye, the Blues ran back to their parents. Red watched them, hoping that one day, he would have what they have.
Meanwhile, Chuck and Stella were trying to decide whether they should bring their egg to the party or keep it home like everyone else was. Stella wanted to keep an eye on it, but Chuck wanted to have a special night with his wife.
"I don't know, Chuck," Stella said. "I have a bad feeling something's gonna happen."
"Come on, babe," Chuck whispered in her ear. "It'll be just like when we first met."
"We first met in high school, and you spilled coconut milk all over me," she pointed out. Chuck just blushed embarrassingly. "Besides, this egg is a reminder of our unconditional love for each other."
"You're right," Chuck admitted. "I remember when you first showed it to me. What was my reaction again?"
"Your face turned white and you fainted," Stella answered. Chuck blushed again. "But when you woke up, you were so happy."
"Okay, you win," Chuck sighed in defeat. "We'll bring the egg."
"Perfect!" Stella smiled, kissing Chuck's cheek. "Our first family outing."
Chuck wasn't going worried about anything happening to his unborn hatchling. After all, what could happen?

The Queen's Guard
Friedrich Schreiner is a proud gefreiter of the Queen's Guard, 2nd Company: the finest fighting infantry on the continent (barring the Temple Guard; but please don't bring that up). Service is honourable but, with the Empire on a peacetime footing, terribly boring. Affairs take a dramatic turn for the worse when a mysterious invader uses a forgotten and taboo magical means to breach the capital, plunging the nation into chaos and endangering the royal family. With events spiraling out of control, Friedrich is entrusted with a critical mission. Will hot lead, cold steel, and his determination be enough to see him through? The Queen's Guard is what I'm calling a black powder fantasy story: it's set in a loose equivalent of the early 18th century (plus or minus a few pieces I decided I wanted or didn't want). Magic exists, but not in a spell-slinging sort of way: it's Earth-shaking undertakings or minor enchantments forged in by master craftsmen, the grand working of a secretive cabal or a slight nudge to the course of a blow. I, the eternal optimist, have a full trilogy in mind. The first book is The Prince's Arquebusier, hence the cover and the title disagreeing! This is my shot at 2021's NaNoWriMo and RR Writathon! I've hitherto been terrible at writing long-form fiction, so this is an effort to break out of that by having some accountability in being supposed to post chapters regularly. Here's hoping it works! I have an outline, but not too much detail. I'll do my best to avoid continuity errors, doing anything glaringly stupid, or otherwise fluffing my lines, but I can't make any promises on that. Please do let me know any feedback! Always happy to improve. [participant in the Nov 2021 Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Meg The Heavenly Merchant
Updates once a week.(This is a rough draft) Author's Note: This story has grown in ways I did not predict and while it still features a merchant those aspects have gotten less page time than the fighting and romance elements. I have updated the description to represent the story better) For the past fourteen years Meg has dedicated herself to walking the path of a Heavenly Dragon Knight in her favorite videogame, Tattered Realms:Chaos Age. But now the game is shutting down and everyone wants to know what she plans to do for the sequel. Meg isn't sure at first. She knows only that she yearns for the days when she could lose herself in a game without worrying about boss strategies and crushing her rivals. And when her friend suggests playing a merchant her heart is filled with the same wanderlust and inspiration that launched her gaming career in the first place. But if she isn't dominating dungeons and setting records will people still watch her play? And can she really walk away from all the fighting for a quiet life of buying and selling?
