A smile appeared on Tyler’s face “I would take a bullet for you, willing to die for you is something I would do, could you say you feel that about me.”

My smile suddenly turned to a frown. Would I do that for him? Oh no I’m horrible, he would die for me and I don’t even know if I would take a bullet for him.

“Emma don’t be upset, I didn’t expect you too. Nor would I ever let you, but my point is I would because I love you that much. Even if you said yes I know you didn’t mean it, because I know you well enough. This is just how this works for me and our bond we have; mine will always feel stronger than yours.”

“Even after we complete the mating you’re telling me you will still always have more love for me then I will for you?” I questioned.

“Well after that I’m not sure I guess we’ll find out someday.” Tyler notified me.

I sat there and stared at the window until the car came to a stop which caused my heart to stop as well. I looked at Tyler with worry in my eyes; he rubbed my hand for a moment until my heart calmed down.

“Okay Emma ready to meet the pack?”

I haven’t been near this many people in a long time. When my parents were alive we would have parties all the time but since I was with Kevin I lost all my people skills and now I suck at conversations and even just being near people I don’t know.

“Emma don’t worry I won’t leave your side the whole time.” Tyler promised me.

“It’s just that I…” Taking a breather I turned to look out the window. The truth is I don’t want to meet people who I can grow to love and lose in the same instant.

“Just come, and if you want to leave for whatever reason I will take you home. I promise!” Tyler advised me.

I nodded my head and went to get out of the car. When I got out of the car I realized no one was around. Confusion soon took over my thoughts.

“Where is everyone?” I asked.

“Oh yeah we have to walk a little. Did I forget to tell you?” A smile broke out on Tyler’s face which caused me to smile.

“Maybe just a little. Anyways how far do we have to walk?”

“Oh just 3 miles.”

My mouth literally dropped “What?”

Tyler busted out laughing “I’m just kidding it’s like 10 minutes I figured if I parked here it would give you time to calm down.”

“Aren’t you just so funny?” I said sarcastically.

“I thought I was.” He confessed.

“Keep telling yourself that.” I said with a smile.

Grabbing my hand Tyler led the way to the side walk. Acting like a little kid he started to swing our hands and started to whistle. I couldn’t help but laugh at his child like personality.

“Emma I love you.” I turned to look at Tyler. Who looked dead serious, I turned to him in shook.

“Tyler I lo-“Before I could finish what I wanted to say Tyler cut me off.

“No don’t say it because Emma I don’t want you to say something you don’t mean and just because I say I love you doesn’t me you have to say it back right now.”

“Tyler I would never say something I didn’t mean, you should know that better than anyone else.”

“I want to hear you say it Emma but not now you may say you’re saying it because you want to but I know deep down your not sure yet.”

I know he was right, because I still had a hard time processing the love he had for me when I just met him.

“I like you a lot.” I said with a smile.

“I’ll take it.” Tyler responded with a peck on the lips but quickly pulled away.

Glancing at his phone Tyler looked at me “Well I believe we should get on our way don’t you.”

Walking the rest of the way hand in hand I started to see a swarm of figures in the distance, before I knew it we closed in on the group of people. Not even a second of making it to the shelter where the cook out you could say was going on a huge group of people came at us.

I felt bad for Tyler whose hand I was squeezing with my dear life, but he never bugged. I didn’t know who to reply to due to everyone was talking at once.

“Aww Tyler she is so cute.”

“What’s your name?”

“You have such beautiful hair.”

“He’s taken?”

“Have you two mated?”

My head was spinning; I could barely take all this in. That’s when someone whistled sending silence all around us. I was so thankful; I looked over to see Eric standing on a nearby picnic table.

All eyes were on Eric who spoke up “I know you all want to meet Emma, but give the girl space. And second come eat.”

This announcement helped us, half of our personally crowd left to eat and the other half backed up so I was able to breathe.

“So as you all know this is my mate Emma, and I am quiet hungry so we’re going to get something to eat and then come back and talk to all of you.” Tyler addressed the crowd.

Tyler tugged me along to the line of people waiting for their food. I looked up at him to see an apologetic look play on his face.

“Its fine I promise.” I reassured him.

“I just don’t want you to get over whelmed.” Tyler explained to me as he pressed his lips to my forehead sending an electric shock through me.

I pulled Tyler’s head don so I could whisper in his ear “Why is everyone staring?”

A grin broke out on Tyler’s face “Because they all wish they could be you. But sadly they are all out of luck.”

“Why would they be jealous of me? I mean just look at me.” I told him softly.

He stepped beck and looked at me “Okay, so I did as you said and I looked at you, and you want to know what I see? Well it is the most beautiful person in the world, someone who is caring, smart, and perfect in every way.”

“What did you do look in the mirror?” I joked with him.

“Trust me I am nothing to compare to you.”

“I would beg to differ.”

I looked around to see if the line to move but to see everyone staring at us. I saw Lisa standing with other women who looked super proud like Lisa did. I turned away from everyone becoming embarrassed.

“Let’s go get our food.” Tyler pushed me along.

As we walked down the buffet of food laid out in front of us we began to fill out plated. When we were done we walked over to a table that was empty and sat beside each other.

Soon after we were sitting down, a guy walked over and sat across from us. “Tyler she is a cutie.”

My cheeks felt like they were on fire as I dropped eye contact with the mystery guy. “Matt Leave Emma alone, oh and Emma this is my best friend Matthew but he goes by Matt.”

Matt’s hand shot out to shake mine. I hesitated at first then stuck out my hand to shake his. “Well Emma Tyler is one lucky guy, because you are H.O.T.”

I heard a growl rumble through Tyler’s chest causing eyes to drawl towards our table. My gaze immediately turned down to look at my plate in front of me.

Matt’s threw his hands in the air offering a sign of surrender. “Sorry bro I didn’t mean to upset you.”

“Just keep your comments to yourself. Okay?” Tyler informed him.

As we sat there and ate, Matt kept the conversation going. He turned out to be super nice, who was slightly in love with himself. Tyler joked that Matt’s mate was actually himself and that’s why he was so obsessed with himself.

Lisa and Eric joined us at one time to introduce me to Randy who was Eric’s Best friend and Beta, Who was the second in charge of the pack. Later I meet both sets of Tyler’s grandparents as well as other family members of Tyler’s who were very delighted to meet me.

When I felt I couldn’t memorize any more names Tyler pulled me to the side. “Want to go over the swings?”

A laugh escaped my lips “I’d be honored.”

He led the way as we walked over to what appeared to be a playground. “Are you sure you’re not 5?” I couldn’t help but ask.

“Age is but a number.” He told me before he took off for the swings.

I walked over to him with a smile on my face, sitting down in the swing beside him. “It’s really nice here.”

Talking my hand into his as we sat there “I’m glad after all my parents try to keep it nice and neat here, so people enjoy it.”

“Your parents own this place?”

“Not so much my parents it’s the packs, but we allow others to enjoy it.”

I nodded my head to this new information. This place is huge; I would expect it to cost tons upon tons of thousands just to keep it clean and what not.

As we were sitting there a couple walking near, the women was pushing a pink stroller and the Man was holding the hand of what seemed to be a 2 year old boy.

They came closer to us causing Tyler to stand and me mimicking his move. “Tyler, who is this lovely lady you have with you?” the women asked.

“This is my mate Emma. Oh and Emma this is my Aunt Beth, Uncle Tim, and their son Holden. I have yet to meet the new addition who is Maddie.” Tyler enlighten me.

“It’s very nice to meet you.” I announced to them.

Beth walked over and hugged me “I’m just so happy I can put a face to the name. I’ve heard wonderful things about you.”

A little voice spoke up for the first time “Daddy I wanna go play.”

Tim looked over at Beth and she nodded at him to take Holden and allow him to play. Beth pushed the stroller over to a picnic table where Tyler and myself followed.

We sat there and talk for a while. Soon Tyler went over to join Tim and Holden. Beth informed me that she is Lisa’s sister and is the baby of her family. Beth is a werewolf unlike her sister and her husband Tim is also one as well.

Crying came from the stroller cause us to all turn to look at the stroller. I saw the cutest little girl in the world. She has curly black hair, as well as dark chocolate colored eyes. She had rosy cheeks, and looked so fragile.

Beth reached down to pick her up to calm her down. “How old is she?” I questioned

“About a week.” Beth told me.

“She is so precious.” I told her.

Beth looked up at me and smiled “Want to hold her?”

Panic shot through me, she was so small I could hurt her “Emma I promise you’ll do find.” Beth advised me.

I nodded my head then opened my arms to allow Beth to place Maddie into my arms. When I had a good hold on her Beth pulled her hands away. “See your doing just fine.”

I looked down at the little girl I was holding a smiled down at her. “You and Tyler should watch her and Holden for me sometime.”

My attention shot to Beth “I would love to!”

I looked over to see Tyler pushing Holden on the swing. “He loves him doesn’t he?” I asked Beth.

“Oh yes, Tyler is like an older brother to Holden. It’s a sight to see these two together.” Beth disclosed as she watched the two like I was.

I looked down at Maddie who had fallen back asleep. “Your kids are adorable.”

“Thank you. One day you’ll get to have people tell you that too.” Beth told me.

Happiness and sadness surrounded me. I could have had a baby but I lost it but things happen for a reason, so I should move on and know my baby is in a better place.

Looking over at Tyler who smiled at me “Yeah your right.”
