CHAPTER 87
HARRY'S POINT OF VIEW
The morning of December 21, I made my familiar walk to the coffee shop. Yet again was the familiar face of Angie at the cash register. To my surprise nobody else was in line so I causally walked up to her. Instead of asking what I wanted, she pushed a mango smoothie and shiny penny my way. Without uttering a single word, I placed a crisp 5 dollar bill on the counter. At the same time, we both picked up what was ours. I smiled at the penny as I held it up to the light and then slipped it into my back pocket.
"How do I found out?" I asked referring to our conversation yesterday.
"You're not ready." She whispered.
"When will I be?" I asked.
"Only time will tell." She turned around and began walking towards the back kitchen.
"Isn't my interest enough?!" I called after her.
"No, you need to prove it!" She yelled back.
Like I had done yesterday, I took a seat in the back booth. I pulled out my phone and decided to call Angie.
"Hey Harry it's really late here, what's up?" She sounded tired; as if I had just woken her up.
"Nothing." I mumbled.
"I'll call you later." With that, the call ended.
"It'll be okay Angie!" I heard someone yell from across the shop. I quickly looked up to see Angie walking out in a beautiful white sundress. I sprang up from my seat and followed after her. She was headed in the same direction that she was going yesterday, but today she seemed to be in more of a rush. "What's the rush?" I asked as I jogged up beside her.
"Not now Harry!" She hissed.
"Where are you going?" I questioned.
"You can't be here now!" She shouted as she picked up her pace.

"Can you explain to me why everyone has been saying 'it's going to be okay' to you? What's wrong?"
"Seriously Harry, not now!" She screamed.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"You need to go, I won't let you find out." She mumbled.
"Find what out?" My interest grew as our conversation deepened.
And just like that I noticed that we had stopped. Stopped in front of a big hospital. Was this her secret? Before I could ask anything, she ran into the building. I quickly followed after her as we raced down the hall. She jumped up a few flights of stairs and then stopped in front of a door. She must have been here before. She knew the path all to well for it to be new.
"You can't come in." She turned to face me.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"The only person I have left." She pushed past me and walked into the room; slamming the door behind herself.
I slumped down against the hall and waited. After 10 minutes, nothing happened. Just as I was thinking about knocking on the door, a little girl ran down the hall.
"Are you Harry Styles?" She asked with a huge smile plastered on her face.
"Yes I am." I stood up and smiled at the innocent girl in front of me. She was no older than 8. Too cute.
"Can I have your autograph?" She asked.
"Of course." I pulled out a sharpie from my back pocket and signed a napkin that was on the ground. When I handed it over to her I noticed that she was in a hospital gown. Was she sick?
"Why aren't you with the other boys?" She asked.
"I needed time off." I smiled.
"Oh. I love you Harry." She whispered.
"I love you too babe." I laughed.

"I have to go before my nurse finds out that I ran away. It was lovely meeting you though." She frowned.
"I'll walk you back. I was just sitting here anyways."
"Really?" Her voice asked; filled with hope.
"Show me the way." I laughed.
She grabbed my arm and pulled me down the hall and into her tiny little room. She carefully sat down on the bed and smiled at me. Just as I was about to ask her some questions, her nurse walked in.
"There you are Rosie!" She laughed.
At the sound of her name, my breath caught in my throat. Rosie. Rosie. Rosie.
"Look who I met, it's Harry Styles!" She pointed at me.
"We're best friends!" I joked.
"For real?" She asked.
"Forever and always babe." I winked at her.
"Mr. Styles can I talk to you for a minute?" The nurse asked.
"Sure." I stood up and followed the nurse down the hall where Rosie couldn't hear us.
"You should know that little Rosie in there is very very sick. I just don't want you to get too attached..." She trailed off.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Cancer." She frowned.
"How much time does she have?" I asked.
"Not long." She frowned again.
"So sad." I whispered. "She's too young." I added.
"Yes. So anyways, what is a big time star doing here?" She laughed.
"I chased one of my friends here. She wouldn't explain to me what was happening, so I'm not sure..." I trailed off.
"Where is she now?" The nurse asked as she looked down at her clipboard.
"That room." I pointed towards the door that I had seen Angie walk through.
"No." She fired back.
"Huh?" I asked.
"Was it, Angie?" She asked.
"Yes, why?" I asked.
"I'm so sorry." She hugged me and then scurried down the hall before I could say anything.
Just then the door swung open and Angie walked out. Her hair was bouncy with tons of excitement, but her face was red and puffy from crying.
"Please tell me." I mumbled.
"My family." She whispered.
"What happened?" I asked.
"My parent are-" She cut herself off because her tears were streaming down her face. "Dead." She ended minutes later.
"Then who's-" I began.
"My sister." She finished.
"Is she okay?" I asked.
"WE'RE IN A HOSPITAL, OF COURSE SHE'S NOT OKAY!" She yelled back.
"What happened?" I asked.
"We were here on a family vacation when our hotel was broken into. My parents were murdered, and my sister was shot, but survived." Her tears were now spilling down her face at a rapid pace.
"What about you?" I asked.
"I was out." She mumbled.
"When was this?" I questioned.
"Months ago." She answered.
"Why haven't you gone back to wherever you live?" I asked.
"To what? A house that was repossessed?" She shouted.
"Sorry." I mumbled.
"And to make matters worse, when my sister was recovering, they found cancer." That's when she lost it. She fell to the ground bawling.
"Sorry." I repeated.
"I have no money, and no other family."
"Sorry." I said again.
"And I'm about to lose my sister."
"Sorry."
"Then I'll be all alone in another country with a low paying salary from Starbucks. I have no future." She laughed.
"You have me." I whispered.
"Yeah until your career comes back into play." She laughed again.
"Do you really think I would leave you?" I asked.
"Thank you Harry." She cried.
"It's alright love, let it out."
